    I have almost 6k in tools. If I had known of this video 3 years ago going through automotive school I would have spent the money and got the box, tools, and organizers at the same time. This is an amazing first set up for any mechanic or even DIY

    I bought this exact tool set, toolbox and all the organizers for Christmas. The only thing I did not like about them was the 4 biggest sae and metric crowfoot wrenches stand up instead of laying flat like the smaller ones do. I wanted to put them in the shallow drawers of the top box, otherwise I love this setup!! Thank you Marty for working with me on my special order!!!

      @FoamFitTools  Před 3 lety +1

      There is extra space added in the socket drawer to keep the weight down. We would have added more tools, but it was going to be too heavy to be good for the drawer slides in our opinion. We generally leave a certain amount of space between tools when we create layouts. This is done for speed so you can quickly spot the tool you need and have plenty of room for your fingers.

    The foam kit is not for mechanics, its for DIYers that look at tools more than they use them. Mechanics that bill at $250 / hr don't have time to fool around with foam inserts.

      We get plenty of requests to modify our organizers to fit other toolboxes. If you know the drawer measurements, we can figure out the best option and quote you a price. The best way to get started is by sending an email to info@foamfittools.com with details on your toolbox.

    • @FoamFitTools
      @FoamFitTools  Před 4 lety +6

      The Husky 52-inch box has fewer drawers (15 versus 23), but we've started working on a solution that is going to work great. There is more height in some of the drawers, so right now we're planning to put all the ratcheting wrenches on edge in two drawers. The best part is that the main socket drawer will work with only a little trimming. We'll also be able to stand up the 1/2-drive deep impact sockets because there is a 5-inch high drawer for those. Give us a call (920-569-0140) or send an email to info@foamfittools.com for more information. We can get you pricing and make sure you're on the waiting list.

      Update as of Jan 2021 -- Now we make organizers for four boxes: Husky 56-inch with 18 drawers, Husky 56-inch with 23 drawers, old Husky 52-inch with 15 drawers, and new Husky 52-inch with 15 drawers.

    • @FoamFitTools
      @FoamFitTools  Před 4 lety

      Yes, you can select the color for each organizer (the color selection is just above the "add to cart" button). A few of the organizers have standard and metric in the same drawer, but choosing black/red for standard and black/blue for metric would work great for most of the wrench drawers.

    I have the same box but do you make this for other toolsets? For example I like milwaukee box wrenches the tekton sockets and ratchets

    • @FoamFitTools
      @FoamFitTools  Před 3 lety

      We don't make anything for Milwaukee tools yet, but we have several organizers for Tekton sets. If there is an organizer number that works for your tools and is smaller than your drawer, we can cut it on a larger foam sheet to fit. The pricing varies depending on how much extra foam is used, but it usually doesn't add much cost or lead time. Our customer service people are happy to help with projects like this.

    Any idea if the 1025 piece tool set will fit into the harbor freight (u.s. general) 44” 13 draw tool cabinet?

    • @FoamFitTools
      @FoamFitTools  Před 4 lety +1

      By itself, the US General 44-inch bottom cabinet would be too small. If you added the matching top chest, the drawer widths would become the only issue. The inside width on the wide bank of drawers is about 22.25 inches. The designs we've made for the Husky 1025-pc set are all wider or narrower (by roughly 10 inches). It might be worth asking again in a few months since we may program some new layouts in the future. By the way, I think the Husky 432-pc set would fit fairly well in the US General 44-inch box. Our customer service people can investigate different options like this if you're interested.

    • @FoamFitTools

      There are several ways to look at this.
      We CNC-machine 1,013 tool-shaped pockets (skipping the socket rails) which is about $.98 per pocket. However, I would suggest you not use the price-per-pocket, tool set cost, or toolbox cost when deciding if this solution is right for you.
      Consider instead what your time is worth. How long would it take you to organize this tool set by some other method?
      Would an organized box allow you to finish one more job per week? Would it allow you to get a machine back into service sooner? Would it get you out of the shop for a few extra minutes at the end of the day? How much do you spend replacing lost tools? What would it cost if someone accidentally left one of the tools inside a machine being repaired?
      If you are not convinced you need all 16 drawer inserts, consider the 2 socket organizers. They are a pleasure to work from and keep 595 pieces organized for less than $300.

    • @ccsbikes6814
      @ccsbikes6814 Před 4 lety +5

      I could be wrong on this point but I would think the Husky 1025 Tool is most often purchased by the everyday consumer/homeowner looking for a good product at a good price which equals value or at least how I perceive value.
      I think your product looks very nice and appears well made, much like the Husky tool box and 1025 tool kit, but I don't see the value in your product at its current price point. This is coming from a person who doesn't use their tools every day for a living.
      I understand businesses have their overhead and some benefit from economies of scale while others don't.
      Trust me, if your 1025 foam kit was at a significantly lower price point, I would have purchased it already. I will survive organizing my tools the old fashion way with rail socket holders and properly placed tools in their respective drawers.

    • @jegawrylash99
      @jegawrylash99 Před 4 lety

      Okay this would maybe be good for the home own. But even still the amount of space wasted in the drawers is huge. The first drawer for sockets could hold all the socket in one drawer. The second drawer could be condensed to less then half the drawer. Would be better to look at the other organization option like the tool box widget!

    • @FoamFitTools
      @FoamFitTools  Před 3 lety

      @@jegawrylash99 It is important to leave enough space between the tools for your fingers. That is the limiting factor with a good tool layout.
