When the conditioner bars get too small, I put them in a silicone mold…I put the silicone mold in a bit of water in a pan over the stove. All the pieces melt together and then I have a whole conditioner bar again.

If your hair gets oily quickly, try not putting any conditioner at the roots of your hair and waiting a little longer between washes. Since your natural oils are always at the roots of you hair, you don't really need to put conditioner there and the product tends to flatten your roots and makes it appear greasier soon after a shower. It helps save product as well!!

I love these bars! My scalp is so healthy. Conditioner takes a bit of elbow grease but well worth it.

Thank you so much for this! I bought a conditioner bar and was so confused. My hair is really thick so I wasn’t sure how I was supposed to use it.

I have been using a shampoo bar and I like it but today I tried the conditioner bar and I felt like I wasn't conditioning my hair at all, I left the conditioner bar under the water for some time and then applied it to my hair but I am not sure it worked. I hope I like it because I like that is waste-free

      Hello :)
are you using our Humby Organics conditioner bar?
I would only advise wetting it, it doesn't need to be left under running water.
You can rub it between your hands for a while until you feel it get 'slimey for lack of a better word'.
I find the easiest way is apply it directly to my wet hair, and repeat this motion until my fingers can rum through. You should feel the product on your hair, just keep rubbing :)
Then rinse until the silky feeling is gone.
Unless you have coarse tight curly hair then we suggest leaving a little in!
      I hope this helps x

I dont have this band specifically but searched how to use a conditioner bar because the first time i used it i just rubbed it on my wet ends and i think the for me it works best if i lather it in my hands and then run my fingers through. Also having a bit of it as a leave in conditioner i think will be good for me, i did not know you could do that

Does the temperature you wash your hair in matter?

    • @ZeroWasteCartel

I've never had this question before!
      No it shouldn't do.
I also have very hot showers in winter and then, living in Australia, have cold showers in summer a lot and they work just the same :)

I love the shampoo but after rubbing the conditioner bar between my hands for up to a minute, there is no conditioner. I have the blueberry conditioner and I do have hard water. Any suggestions.

Great video, but I wanted to know how precisely I have to rinse it? Only for a while or make sure to completely get rid of the conditioner from my hair? Greetings from Poland!

      Hello 😊🧡
This is one of the great things about the bar!
If you have very curly hair that needs a lot of moisturizing, you can leave a little in.
Personally I wash mine quite thoroughly (especially on the roots). You can feel when there is still product in your hair. So I suggest trial and error as we all have different hair types :)
      Hop this helps

And tips for what to do when you get to the end of the bar and the little nugget keeps slipping out of your hands? Like it’s too small to run down the length of the hair?

      Elizabeth Womack,
When my conditioner or shampoo bars get down to slivers, I place them in fine mesh bags (such as jewelry bags). This makes it easy for them to suds up as well.

My hair is rather flat. How can I get volume with a conditioner bar?

    • @ZeroWasteCartel
      @ZeroWasteCartel  Před 3 lety +2

Hi Grace, sorry I missed this comment!
I would make sure you are washing the conditioner product out completely for flat hair, and maybe avoid using, or over using, on the roots!
The shampoo bars are great for volume, I would try the vanilla coconut for volume :)
      PS
arrow root powder on the roots is good for volume :)
      I hope this helps
