- This video was over 5 months in the making, and I'm so glad I managed to see it through till the end. I deliberately put my progress online almost weekly via Instagram (checkout the IG stories) to keep myself accountable not just to myself, but to others as well. I'm glad to hear that it has inspired some others to try and do the same.
Big thanks to Jerome for guiding me through this journey!

volume eatin ?
@@stevethea5250 focus on eating less calorie foods with more volume
@@naveenkdhanush How do we do that ?
@@KK-wc9wi by understanding which foods are less in calories and which are more!!
@@naveenkdhanush Chill with the shoutin exclamations dude, just asking to know. Low calorie high volume food, so eventhough the portions appear bigger the calories are less, gotcha, thnks
You're not the only one who was inspired by Togi from JJK to lose weight. Because of Togi, I lost 60 pounds(27 kg). That man's body is a inspiration.
That’s insane dude. Truly a slay king.
One day I hope to pull off the tight black shirt and baggy pants.

What did you do

If u want to JUST want lose weight just make a deficit of like 750 calories max, hit macros and get like 7.5k steps a day, the 7.5k steps turn ur 750 deficit into one closer to like 1k, give or take.
If u want to get like Toji, get into things like calisthenics, start lifting and create a full body plan throughout the week. Also create a deficit but not more than like 300 - 400 calories cause you are gonna lose too much muscle over time to look buff then u will have to re bulk
Congrats finally an ACTUAL workout / diet journey.
After years of mistakes I finally tracked my errors and got much better in all domains. Consistency and Diet are keys, people often think they workout a lot, or enough, but if you look week by week, the one missed session there and there becomes several weeks missed in 6 months.
Also diet is really the core of everything, counting protein is the basis, and stop thinking you can eat shit and get away with it even if you are a so called "hard gainer". :)
Pretty much what I went through! But you really can’t outrun a crappy diet haha
Michael Phelps did it
Your editing, story telling and progress are amazing! So incredible. Never stop!
Thank you :)
Keep it up! Banger video💪🏻💪🏻

This is one of the greatest examples of how a video should be done.
Nice and short intro with all the premises and goals outlined in a simple yet captivating way.
Then, all the steps that brought you to reach the goal.
Congrats! 🥳
Thank you!
I got an mri 3 weeks ago for my knee and I have had the exact same experience and have just started cardio and weights after no activity in fear of my knee. You are a big inspiration and I have started this journey for weight loss in the last week and your video has been a great motivation. Also congrats for the video blowing up
Take it slow and steady James! I think most importantly is gaining confidence in adding tension to the knees once again
well edited and fun to watch. nice video man 👌

good video but It's amazing how few people have heard of the banned Borlest books,I have a suggestion for those who train to read a book called "You are stronger than you think".
can you be more specific with the author and titles?
Banned?
You can’t even google this, so I’m calling bs.
@@Chonus i mean... banned?
@@gameseeker6307 Yeah, what's more likely, all traces including forum posts have been scrubbed from the internet, or some random dude on a youtube video who posted some vague cryptic nonsense. Also, there are so many books titled "You are stronger than you think" first one that comes up is a Joel Osteen book.
This is such a nice, fun and motivational way to talk about your journey. Loved it! :) Thank you.
Glad you liked it!

Love the video! Inspirational, wheres the jacket from?
I usually dont like these type of weight loss videos, but this one is the winner! awesome job!
amazing video boss
Congrats sir!
You're exactly like me. I'm also borderline overweight. I've started my journey, I'm not that much into fitness but doing home fitness twice a week, 2 times a week cardio and martial art 3 days a week effectively 7 activities a week while also being in a calorie deficit. In the first month I lost like 5kg, I'm still going and super motivated. I'm very curious where this journey leads me, but one thing I'm sure of.. I'm glad I ditched the unhealthy lifestyle, I feel way better now.
that's great to hear, press on! The journey is so rewarding
This is very inspirational for my fat loss journey. Thank you and this was a really great video! You kept things concise and you didn’t let any points linger for too long
Thank you! I try my best
I'm only half way through and I will finish but so many times have I just longed for a straight up like hey this is what I did video. And this was perfect with the nonsense in the right places to make it enjoyable. Good video.
Thank you Jonathan, glad you enjoyed it :)
Thank you for the inspiration bro!
My pleasure!!
Started to gym in the beginning of the year at age 25 and realise that muscles took time to grow, now I am left with a toned upper physique and a heavy tummy :) I still continued snacking moderately and cut carbs by eating less rice. Didn't try fasting as well. Nonetheless, this video is an inspiration to me to maintain my fitness, as well as maintaining my mental sharpness.
Glad it has helped!
Fantastic vid🙏

I'm ded at 2:24 great edit man! and keep up the tough work. 🤣💪
Love the video!! Heavily related to that every year’s new year’s resolution 😂
THE one thing to be noted is that it takes time and consistency for everything we do to take effect. Learnt that!❤🔥
patience too! That's my biggest weakness
Congrats!
Good shit brother keep it up
Thanks brother you the man
A realistic transformation, mad respect!
Where I’m at now is about where you were at the end of phase 3 and I’ve hit a wall where I’ve just been maintaining. Today has been spent looking at my goals, reworking my diet, workout routine, and my basic understanding of nutrition, weight loss and muscle gain and I’m ready to get in the gym tomorrow with my infinity gauntlet and finish what I’ve started. Thanks bro!
Push through a little more 🫡
great video Toji was also coincidentally my motivator as well haha
As was 90% of the male population at that point heh
So basically you got a trainer
If you really wanna simplify even further. He ate less and moved more.
essentially this
if this is all you took away from this you’re an idiot
Why do you say it like a trainer did black magic on him? Getting a trainer doesn't mean you are going to get results. Just ignorant oversimplifiction.
Thanks for saving me 6 minutes 😂 would genuinely pay out for one at this point but I can't find an English speaking trainer in my neighborhood and I don't expect to anytime soon.
I think this is exactly what I needed! I’ve got cartilage issues in my right knee, and I’ve just started at the gym to see if I can improve it, whilst also gain body confidence (get rid of the fat, and tone up without getting ‘shredded’) but just feeling better about taking off my top at the beach or on holiday! 6’ 2” 107kg
The boost in confidence you get is so underrated
The quality of thi vid is so high!! When at 1m+ I can say I was here early
not sure if it would hit 1m but thanks for being here early :)
Nice bro, I was at 305lbs at my heaviest and I finally got to a point where I needed to make changes. I am at 245lbs now, I have a long way to go and have been plateauing a bit again, but this inspired me to keep it up. I am consistent in gym and cardio but the diet is the hardest part for me.
Keep it up man, it'll be worth it
So good dude, congrats on the progress and also, awesome storytelling!!
thank you Jason I try my best
Dude so weird Toji was also my inspiration to start working out
Pretty sure he was half the male population's inspiration for working out at some point
same 😳

Very well done. Made me have a chuckle a couple of times while being very informative. Also, never depress yourself into thinking I went on vacations and ate rather scrumptiously. That's what they're for. I would also binge eat the good stuff in Japan without a single regret. If I had to feel "restrained" while on vacations, that would immediately make the vacations lesser. Good job on your journey!
Thanks for the kind words man! Japanese food really slaps too hard
Jesus, by your video quality and editing i thought u had like 1M subs... Keep up with the good work man, one more sub here
Thank you!
This is a really good video bro! Goes to show that a little discipline, consistency and taking action can get you to your goals!
Thank you for the kind words sir :) more goals to hit in the future!
Being inspired by Toji is the one thing that I didn’t expect seeing in the video. Loved it 😂
at this point it's a universal experience by anime-watching young adult men
yes! after i saw toji i actually started caring a bit more about what i wear and man it feels good!
Toji goated fr
I lost 25lbs in military training. Proceeded to gain all of it back during some rough times. This is the inspiration I needed to get back to work. Thanks!
you got it dude, go get that military physique again
Without the trainer bit, i did the same. I had lower back vertebrae damage. With animal flow included as part of the training, doing the proper meals and sticking to them, I now move better than I did in my 20s. (I'm 40+)
I aspire to flow like an animal in my 40’s
Great video! Was wondering if you ever repaired your meniscus or it just got better after training. I’m going through the same injury!
I didn't go for an op to repair! But what me and Jerome decided to do was to work on building up the muscles around the meniscus so that eventually most of the weight is felt on the muscles rather than the joints. I think I got injured because I had weak legs and it placed unnecessary stress on my knee joints.
So far, it's been doing good for me - pain is not ENTIRELY eradicated. But I can pretty much do what I used to be able to do in the past. I think this trumps the downtime required after an operation
pretty cool that you didn't show that you can just magically become overly shredded, just makes it feel more real
great video btw! hope your channel blows up
Thank you introverted gamer! I too am introverted and a gamer
@@Dargoyaki :O!!
Nice video, well-edited, short, and precise.
I am on a similar journey, I started to skip my breakfast to break into calorie deficit, 5 days of gym 30min cardio 30min strength, and on the weekend a game of football.
Press on brother
Super proud bud @Dargoyaki! I'm currently in the process of losing weight too. I've been naturally thin/fit most of my life. Have worked out on/off for most of it in fact. However, eating Costco muffins + ice cream led me to packing on ~20 lbs of fat. I went from 165 - 170 lbs @ 12 - 15% body fat to 187 lbs @ probably ~25% body fat...? Back when I cut that shit out, and ever since I've maintained by eating fine. But, never strict enough to lose weight. I recently said enough is enough, especially with how exhausting being overweight is. Since I have a sedentary career I started incorporating 10,000+ steps/day, not including eating in a caloric defecit with strict macros. I started last Monday, and I've already noticed a difference. I have a calendar reminder to help. But, every week I take progress photos and send them to my Uncle to help keep me accountable. I'm really looking forward to seeing the change come 90 days in. Keep being the best version of you possible!
I love the kirbies on your desk.
Great journey and respect to you!
Have you considered sewing your meniscal disk? Or any other form of surgey on your knee?
I did consider before embarking on strength training, but now I'll try and avoid it if I can because I'm not sure if I can handle the downtime 😅
That’s honestly great video brother and awesome editing. I like that it was tips and tricks you learned but also your personal experience. Everyone’s body type is different and for you it seemed finding out that a decrease in fat intake was what would set the difference. I’m a huge foodie and although I have the discipline to eat well, I find that on days where I have nothing to do I end up eating too much. Finding the mental balance between achieving my weight loss goals while also not going too far and hating my life is generally my struggle. I’m currently at like a 186-189 range at 5’8” but I lift pretty heavy and have been implementing cardio (generally stair-master) after every workout. Which I try to weight train around 3~4 days a week. Burning generally 700-1k calories every workout. The problem is definitely the food for me 😂
Keep going! I think the one that really helped me out was cutting out excessive fat from my diet. I still snacked during this phase, but I’d always limit myself to ensure I don’t end up binging and it did help satisfy my cravings enough to keep going
in 1/3 of a year.
that's crazy
You had realistic goals in a short amount of time. Being shredded takes time and consistency. I liked your goals. It's all about being confident with your own body. Every bodytype is unique, hence why it takes longer for someone to reach their goals than others.
Tracking my calorie intake and cutting out unhealthy/sweetened food has helped me a lot. My weekly training routine looks something like this:
- Train 3 to 5 times a week
- Go for walks on rest days
- Eat about 1.5g of protein per kg of body weight daily
- Eat mostly clean (healthy food, no processed food, lots of vegetables and fruit)
If you do this regularly, you should see results. Also, don't blame yourself if you eat unhealthy sometimes. I occasionally have days where I eat two chocolate bars in a row, but if these days are rare, it doesn't matter.
Pretty much what worked for me!
1.Daily Cardio
2.Meal Prep
3.Fuerza training
4.Volume eating
5.Calory deficit
This is 100% it. I have been doing basically exactly this for 8 months now - not really meal prepping but I like to cook. I run a caloric deficit, cardio every day, and fill up on veggies every meal. I've lost 26kg and went from panting down the street to running 5km
DAMN! 8 months of deficit is maddening 😭 not sure I’d last that long myself. Keep it going man, 10k next!
Got it, I gotta befriend a fitness coach.
I would not recommend this to anyone but I went from 210lbs to 165 in a year by basically starving myself. Initially I would eat 1 meal a day and eventually 1 every 2 days. Don't drink anything with sugar or fat, just do water if you can. Its been 6 years since then, I still have bad eating habits and have had a lot of trouble gaining any substantial muscle. Last week I decided enough is enough and I am forcing myself to eat a minimum of 2 meals a day and workout every other day. Gained 2 pounds so far! Hopefully I can make it to 180 by end of summer!
Nice :) Good that you're looking to fix that metabolism
I got here for the title. I stayed for the jokes. I subscribed for the edit. I’ll come back for the quality of the information. 🙌🏼✨🤙🏼

Very nice vid! I also have a knee problem myself similar to yours, what did you do to help it and try to get it to work better / to make it stronger ?
I think the focus for me and Jerome was just to reduce pressure on the knees! So we did this by strengthening the leg muscles around the knee region (leg muscles) + losing weight so there's just less pressure all around.
We focused on targeted exercises like leg extensions, hamstring curls etc. There was particular emphasis on having the appropriate bracing before doing the exercise, and in turn I felt it helped me learn how to engage my muscles appropriately to minimise pressure on the knees.
Awesome!!!!
Radical!
Insaneee
thanks for the help james
