The tooner shade just makes the PV look too bright for a song that’s suppose to be dark and depressing. I don’t know it’s too distracting and I hate it.

This PV is bright as hell in future tone too, it’s only darker in f2nd
I feel like some of the surrounding lighting is better on Megamix, like windows, lights on the signs, and some overall surrounding objects. They’re a bit to dull on F2nd imo, but it’s still a bit to bright in Megamix. but the lighting on Miku in Megamix is really bad.

Ima disagree here, I think that the use of the colors in the Megamix is actually good, Rolling Girl isn't just dark and edgy, Miku sings as if there is a light at the end of the tunnel, and by rolling through life she'll eventually get there if she endures all the pain, of course she never actually reaches the light at the end though, if theres anything that Megamix did right, its that they added more contrast to the colors in here, for example, the statue that Miku pushes and breaks, we are able to see it much clearer with its edges more defined, and if Im right about that representing the model student/perfect human being and the life that comes with it, then the fact that the edges are much more defined is a good thing, same with the basement scene, the lights down there are all noticeably red/purple instead of white to show us this is a different kind of "hope" that Miku is being surrounded by, they are supposed to represent her having thoughts of killing herself and seeing how she could just feel better that way instead, the shot at 2:00 specifically I'd say is much better than the one in future tone, as you can really see the darkness around her and also the glaring lights to show those thoughts, you can just see them much better in Megamix. I do like the Future Tone ending shot better though, the filter they put on at the end implies that the light there that she's falling towards is "fake" and the dark edges makes it feel much darker, this is much better than the Megamix version because it's supposed to represent how she's given in and she's committing suicide, as that will release her from all her pain of rolling on and on. But honestly just being able to see the colors better and the higher contrast makes the Megamix version better imo, my only complaint is how Miku looks, I think the shader looks fine but personally I like the one in Future Tone more

You haven't? As a Switch owner and a person who is okay with Megamix because it's the only PD game I have access to, I actually can't believe that lol
i feel like in the other games the vocaloids have individual skin tones, which is super fun. miku is a bit darker than luka and meiko is tanner than kaito. i think overall luka is the pastiest lol. but in mega mix they all look like they have LEDs for skin

i dont mind toon shader, but i there are so many details on the clothes missing, as well as lighting. her skin is basically glowing which looks so weird.

Maybe in songs where the PV is bright like the chorus part of Common World Domination/Arifureta Sekai Seifuku (is that song even in mega mix?) it fits, but definitely not in Rolling Girl
Mhm. The toon shading looks good in some pvs but other..not so much.
What I don’t like about mega mix is that the facial expressions are overshadowed by the brightness of the face. And rolling girl is a VERY emotional and important song. So seeing a big lack of facial expressions is a huge no from me
BUT a plus side that I do like about this mv, is the how the steps glow when Miku runs on them in megamix, it ads a bit of pop to it. I think F2nd did that too but I can’t remember.
I really do love the mod because Miku actually looks more realistic, like her fingers actually move and she actually plays the piano unlike the other versions where she ain’t even playing it like Miku who are you trying to fool
i believe the piano playing and better facial expressions come packed with F2nd by default. It’s just that the lighting comes from mods while in the regular, unmodded title’s lightning is a little underwhelming.
Megamix is way too bright for this song, but the shot at 2:05 does look a bit better imo. The more intense purple glow is ominous.

@々仝〃Itz_Indigo I own F, F2nd, X, and Mirai along with Future Tone. How many times do we need to go over this? Your precious Switch game is not as good as the PS4 game. These videos are proving it. You can enjoy Megamix by all means, but to say that Future Tone was an effortless game when you don't take into account the amount of work Sega put into the Arcade game to even make a PS4 game possible is complete ignorance.

Wasn't in the game trailer they had the future tone but with toon shader lightly over it to look different or am I tripping? Cuz I would of liked it more that way.
This also proves how lazy SEGA had gotten with the series.
If they exerted even a bit more effort, you know the kind that doesn't even need to waste resources? They could've just ported the enhanced and updated PVs of old songs that got into F2nd onto MM39, heck even FT, but nooooo they decided to use the outdated and lifeless ones that came from Dreamy Theatre, which are just glorified HD PVs from the PSP era of PD.
if they want to recycle every single song from older games, at least take some of the updated PVs that are more expressive and less stiff like the old songs that got into F2nd, instead of just taking them from a 2011 game that hangs on the uncanny valley of anime and CG monstrosity lol

@Spin 600 Mirai can still happen because it's a spinoff. Plus people want LILY and Gakupo in a Project Diva game so Mirai is the best way to do so since GUMI is already in it.

@Spin 600 It is fair. Megamix is a port of Future Tone so there's nothing wrong with comparing them.
@Spin 600 even if the toon shader is removed it will still run smoothly. remember that the switch can handle more demanding games than this.
Megamix is 40 dollars. Both packs of ft are 40 if you get the bundle. Megamix feels like a scam

Well, you are really paying for the new songs, the megamix dlc for future tone is 15 now and they are only like ten songs, so half of the pruce of the game are the new songs
@@magnanereseres5048 The Sega pack is $7 and comes with only 3 songs. That's $2.33 per song. The Megamix DLC for for FT is $1.50 per song. Meaning the Future Tone DLC has more value.
As a whole. Every DLC in Future Tone is cheaper than every DLC in Megamix. Not to mention Megamix will most likely get a 3rd season pass making the game $120 for all the DLC!!! 50% MORE THAN THE FUTURE TONE DLC YET WOULD STILL BE MISSING OVER 30 SONGS!!!

I like how the texts and darker effects are enhancing the video of FT version from 2:48 onwards + the closeup of her face which gives us more expression and depth on what the song really is about. It looks nicer and you feel that the video leaves a more powerful impression on you. The vignette at the very end kind of looked like an eye of a person, meaning it's the POV of someone and Miku is reaching out to that someone as she falls.
WHY IS SHE GLOWING? Between this, and Rin's bow at the end of Decorator, I think my eyes are going to need a break.

Future Tone actually allows you to take pictures of moments in any PV and then the game will use those as your loading screens!

I’ve always wanted to see rolling girl project diva FT and F2nd mixed together, now I have it.
come to think of it, the latest versions of the PVs are in F2nd. all these songs like Rolling Girl or Romeo and Cinderella are way back in 2009/2010.
here's to hoping the team who worked behind f2nd do an f extend or something but with x's songs. i can go along with that
I love both of the versions! The composition in the first one is admirable and the second one is very lively. I've been playing megamix on the switch and I honestly don't mind the brightness at all. I find it cute and it makes it really fun to play.

My 1st Diva game was Megamix for Switch. I never really noticed how bright the MV was, probably cause I was too focused on the buttons or jamming out, till I saw how the others were for the other games... God damn, it's brighter than my future

The Future Tone version does as well. This is just a mod. The Future Tone one by the way was based off the PSP version since it released around the same time Rolling Girl on PSP came out when it got put onto Arcade Machines.

People who constantly shit on Megamix need to realize that a lot of the problems with it are the still there in Future Tone and using this video as an argument isn’t valid since this is modded. Like the only version to ever play the piano is F2nd. So if you harp on Megamix for not playing it, you have to harp on Future Tone too.
