I saw her in Australia when she came to sing with Pinchgut. Attended a concert in Melbourne and with no close up camera it isn't a problem. Lovely voice and vivacious. Well worth flying into Melb to see

She certainly is an accomplished interpreter of the Baroque repertoire with impressive coloratura, but she's definitely one of those singers that is hard to watch. I honestly can't understand how she's even able to sing with all that going on with her mouth and jaw. Like... how do you sing coloratura with your mouth closed??? It's got to be the strangest singing technique I have ever seen.

@@TimelessMusicaOFFICIAL I've actually seen that one. It was interesting to hear her talk about it.
@@TimelessMusicaOFFICIAL I used to like her a lot when I was a teenager. But since going to school for classical voice and learning more about vocal technique, I admit, I haven't been able to enjoy her as much. I definitely respect her as an artist. I think it's admirable that she has been able to have such a successful career despite having major technique issues, like she talked about in the documentary.
@@JacquelineLanceTenor in my humble opinion , I think it was her technique that made here a special singer . The same thing applies with Cecilia bartoli faces that some people made a lot of critiques about but in fact this made her more famous and special in her field. I think every artist needs to have a signature to be timeless and memorable . 😇
@@JacquelineLanceTenor Her technique is unorthodox for sure...but has done much better than singers who's technique is orthodox. I am from the school of thought that many of the great singers are simply freaks of nature..and the rest of us decent singers have to play by the rules.
