Blatant cultural appropriation. This is inexcusable! This is just as bad as when they didn't get real werewolves or vampires for the Twilight series. They should have hired a real vampire like that old Nosferatu film!
Deafs, blinds, limbless, dwarfs, down syndrome, undeveloped brain all suffer from these people. Like a child who learns to bear pain after fallen down for the first time, afterward we just brushed it off.
This seems to be the more idealistic version of "Iceman" (1984), and "Encino Man" (1992), except they genetically engineer William, instead of finding him frozen.
@@jlk8145 Yeah I think Millennial Caveman is referring to people like you. Think about it. Nothing to do with politics Just your reaction to another person.
I'm sorry I lost track of myself what was the point of bringing back what is consider the oldest ancestor the humans, yet having him learn everything that a child, teenage, and adult would know.
That would be an entirely different film, though. Aboriginals are not extinct, and therefore, they wouldn't have to jump through the flaming hoops that the couple in the film did to *give birth to* a neandrethal baby. So.... I'm not sure what your "point" is.
Even if this was possible, why would anyone in their right mind do this? This is beyond cruel, putting a child through neglect by society just for a humans experiment and satisfaction. Like if there is not enough people all over the world with real diagnosis that limit their abilities to live a normal life.
He has all the traits of a normal modern day human apart from his forehead and nose. Even if he was half- neanderthal, he would still have massive forearms and a shorter stature with a lower center of gravity. As far as similarity to a neanderthal, the trailer doesn't really show it, but they might reveal the reasons why in the movie. Appearance aside, it looks like the movie objective is acceptance, which is overplayed a lot in movies today. If they took the rebirth of the neanderthal in a different movie route, I think it would be more entertaining, like if it was based around making the ultimate soldier or sports player. Physically, neanderthals are immensely more powerful than we are now and I think a movie based around those traits, rather than being different from society, would be better. This is my first comment critique of a trailer in comment section, and it's just my opinion, but this just seemed like a wasted plot to me. Typed this up without looking at other comments and with about 5 minutes a research.
Plot twist: Gets a job at Geico.
LOL best response to this movie
LMAO. Nicely played.
Ok now I’ll watch the movie lmao 😂
Brilliant
On point!! Lmao
"....sooo preoccupied with if they COULD, they...they.....they never stopped to think ahhhh if they SHOULD..."

Well this movie does seem like something that could take place in the same universe as Jurassic Park/World.
life, uh... finds a way
More applicable to the filmmakers than the characters
I can't believe they didn't get an actual Neanderthal to play William.
LOL

Why the hell would you do that and not expect repercussions?
Why would you do that to a kid though like it seems uneccesarily cruel

As a women with 4% neanderthal couldn't agree more.
Yeah pretty basic plot 😆
Having a big forehead doesn't make you a cave man but if it does then I'll be rich soon cause there's thousands just like him where I live
I always wondered where the apple store got its genius from.
well he did become a star-making Geico commercials
I am gonna definitely watch this

Looks very Pacific Northwest.
They should have home-schooled him. And "coulda, woulda, shoulda" can also apply to some of our tech, like A.I., weapons, etc.
Lol this looks hilarious.
was hoping this was gonna turn into some kind of horror film
Did he go full Neanderthal? Never go full...nevermind.
William sounds like a cool guy, but I guess haters gonna hate.
UBCCCC!!!!!!
So this was green lit?!?
with that face, i would straight go to calvin klein,
This is Marv from Sin City ?
So a cross between Greystoke and Encino Man then
He should have at least some genetics that would allow him to be an power athlete.

That would be an entirely different film, though. Aboriginals are not extinct, and therefore, they wouldn't have to jump through the flaming hoops that the couple in the film did to *give birth to* a neandrethal baby. So.... I'm not sure what your "point" is.
