The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening is the fourth installment in the series, and the only Zelda title on the Game Boy. A color update, titled Link's Awakening DX, is one of the three Zelda titles for the Game Boy Color. Since its release, Link's Awakening has been popular among fans and critics. By 2004, the original release had sold 3.83 million copies worldwide, while Link's Awakening DX sold 2.22 million. In 2009, Guinness World Records named it the 42nd most influential video game of all time.

2:16 that's actually a reference to the Nintendo 64's short name (N64) and millions of polygons. This was before its launch, that's why it says "I need it as soon as possibe!"

actually marin tries to stop you from doing bad stuff. but if you keep doing it she "snaps" and becomes okay with it. even evil to some extent.
You missed one of the funniest Easter Eggs: The german version of Buzz Blob's dialogue.
"NIE OHNE KONDOM!"
"Gib mir Deinen Saft, ich geb' Dir meinen..."
"Irgendwelche Sorgen, Nöte oder Probleme?"
Which translates to:
"NEVER WITHOUT A CONDOM."
"Give me your juice, I'll give you mine.."
"Any worries, hardships or issues?"
Moyse is pretty famous for his... "unique" game translations. :D
Oh, oh boy. Yeah I totally missed that. I'm surprised that was allowed to be / stay in the game.

I love the BowWow in this game. Made 8-year-old me feel like I was really good at the game.
I really loved the Totaka's theme easter egg! I never knew that Totaka's theme existed in games this early on.
the cukeman of link's awakening was referencing the n64, which the lines "It can display millions of polygons" and "i definitely need it, as soon as possible" was talking about the fact the system uses polygons and the fact it was still in development and people wanted it... yeah... kinda strange but kinda neat
it was super early in the development of the N64 (then called Project Reality) so it was a bit of a teaser for what would eventually come out in 3 years

In the French version when powder is applied to the octopus there is a message that says: "Bon baisers de Kyoto. Véro" ( Good Kiss from Kyoto, Véro) is a little wink from the French translator Véronique Chantel
