Neat! Something else for my list of thing's I'll never get done...
That is way better than Chinese stone beads. Chinese: heat treat, bleach stones and fill all tiny cracks with epoxy resin glue. Chinese bead stones are all man altered to different color and appearance from stone's original state.
wow using your hand. This is def the cheapest
C’mon man that sphere is still very perfect even if it’s cheap
I found a few absolutely stunning agate rocks in decorative landscape rocks. A few are multicolored like a rainbow. All had numerous layers and in gorgeous patterns. I collect both rocks and marbles to name a few things. These agates are stunning and I'd be afraid I'd ruin them. I wish I could find someone nearby who could do a good job. I'm in central Illinois.
When I was in Japan, I saw somebody making stone vases.
Awesome job
Where would one acquire an unpowered spindle?
This looks amazing! But how do you cover the hole where the dole was inserted?
That was impressive, this works with any kind of stone? I'll try with wood too.
Great video! I've been thinking I can't make spheres because I don't have the right tools, but you just listed everything I have at my disposal. Now to finally put those hole saws to a good use. Thanks!
Could have used this video like a MONTH AGO!!! But thank you so much for sharing it!! Love it!!
Nice work! Glad to see some innovative lapidary on YT.
