More fundamental question is, "Does the UN really matter in the present world? When did the UN last resolve a major conflict and brought about peace?" It is worse than a debating society. UN is a forum for useless diplomatic posturing. Regional alliances are far more stronger and effective than the UN. Even though India contributes maximum number to the UN peacekeeping forces, it has been given a bum's rush. African nations and India should quit the UN and save money and their soldiers from dying for worthless conflicts created by the Hegemons of the West.

The African continent has a large population of poor people. In 2090, the population of the African continent will increase. 6 billion population will be reached. Because now India had more poor population. Now Indian government will provide economy and new education in Africa continent. Who will fight a strong country in Africa? There was no money in the continent of Africa for 130 years. Now the population in Nigeria will accelerate to reach 1.7 billion in 2120.

The US and other free nations should exit the UN and create a new organization that is only open to counties with freely elected governments. No security council would be needed. Counties without open elections don't represent their people, so those people are excluded even if their governments are included.

The five permeant members are there due to several factors and I believe the single most important being their contribution of their role in WW2...how the war concluded won by the Allies. I do think that with the world is entering a new era of multi-polarization, UN Security Council reform is inevitable as key players that are influential on global stage have now emerged.
I think a logical and pragmatic approach would be on the basis of five permanent members as the core veto powers, there should be a second ring of 5 to 11 'semi' permanent members created that have a majority veto power or something (Of course a discussion of who is eligible and how much power and responsibilities vested) It's like right now there is only the president (5 members) and house of representatives (rotating members), we create a senate (semi-permeant; non-rotating).
