- Welcome everyone to the beautiful Columbia River Gorge and Skamania Lodge.
Kim and I have been looking to stay at this lodge for years but unfortunately just couldn't ever find the time to make the short trip from Portland. What a mistake that was because this lodge has it all.
Located about an hour east of Portland in the town of Stevenson Washington, on the Columbia River Gorge that separates Washington and Oregon you will find this gem of a lodge.
Skamania Lodge is a place where you see the world a bit differently. Where you can slow down to fuel your soul in one of the most iconic and dramatic landscapes on earth. A place to unleash your inner adrenaline junkie or embrace your spirit animal.
Meet the day with a hike around the lodge or in the Gorge. Center yourself with yoga or be challenged on our fitness trail or golf greens. Enjoy views of world class windsurfing or sip your way through the nearby craft breweries and wineries. Chill in our Adirondack chairs or thrill in the adventure of zip line, aerial park or axe throwing.

I drive along the river on the Oregon side once a year to go to the coast. Never knew about this lodge. May have to plan on staying there sometime. Thank you for sharing your hike to Beacon Rock. Looks beautiful but the drop off would be too much for my consort level.
That hike was beautiful but not an easy one. Lot of elevation in a short period of time.

I’m really glad we finally booked a weekend getaway at this resort. I didn’t realize how many activities they had until we stayed here. I definitely want to go back, and next time we’re bringing the golf clubs!

Haha. I wish. It actually wasn’t too bad. Had the wind been blowing though that would be a different story. Absolutely beautiful area though

Definitely rent a car. Nothing within walking distance other than what's at the lodge. So much to see in the area you won't want to miss.
