    "Better Call Saul" recap: He wasn't always Saul Goodman, ace attorney for chemist-turned-meth dealer Walter White. Six years before he begins to represent Albuquerque's most notorious criminal, Goodman is Jimmy McGill, a small-time attorney hustling to make a name for himself. He's a forceful champion for his low-income clients, an underdog whose morals and ambitions often clash. Jimmy works with private eye Mike Ehrmantraut, a former Philadelphia cop and recent transplant to the Southwest. Mike has a specialized skill set -- he's a "fixer" of sticky situations -- that Jimmy soon learns to appreciate.

    The first scene alone demonstrates just how patient and careful he is in the execution of his plans. He had no interest in shooting Hector’s men, but also didn’t want them to be too alerted when he fired off his rifle at the shoe with cocaine inside. He had to fire off enough shots to have them let their guard down by the time he got the cocaine to sprinkle onto the truck. Quite the expert at reconnaissance and planning.

    I understand that the way they wrote shooting that shoe looks cooler, but he could have just set a remote-controlled device for releasing the cocaine, make the car drive into a fishing line that releases the powder, or use a silencer for the gun.

    I don't know if the 4th one is really framing, so much as stoking the fire.

    The title inside the video should have been "Mike's 5 most awesome performances", because Mike outsmarted his opponents literally every time.

    He's not using a silencer, yet firing the rifle right next to his ear. This would send most people screaming to the ground in agony and partially deaf for life. At the NSW Academy, we had to wear ear-gear when firing a .38 S&W two feet from our ears.

      @ronaldviens7862 Před 2 měsíci +2

      Yeah, but he's got the receiver next to his ear, not the muzzle of the rifle. That is about 18" above the plane of his ears, not so deafening.
