Easiest Cake Pops | Family fun in the kitchen!

- Since I uploaded my first CZcams video, Kaci has asked if she could cook with me on youtube. It has been so sweet that my daughter looks up to me and wanted to do this with me. Today I bring her into the kitchen to make our favorite cake pops! These are so easy, and can be made by modifying a simple box mix and dipping in candy melts. Kaci loves to make them for her friends and for any family event that is coming up. Hope you guys have as much fun watching as we did filming it!
Cake pops:
1 box of cake mix (preferably one that calls for 3 eggs)
1 stick butter or 1/2 cup applesauce
1 cup milk
4 eggs
1Tbsp of icing
25 treat sticks

This was a bittersweet video. My daughter Kelly died last Monday. She was only 35. She was by my side in the kitchen from an early age and became a chef thanks to her love of cooking. Treasure every moment.

Love this!! Train a child in the way they should go and when they are old they will not depart from it. My granny taught me how to cook and my great auntie gave me my first cookbook. I still have it and use it.

Great job making those delicious cake pops along with some sweet father daughter memories! I also like that you used the box cake mix and ready made frosting since young children often don’t have the attention span required to measure and do everything from scratch.

So sweet watching you do this with her. Also a tip, your right that homemade icing is the best. If your making buttercream icing to use just add a bit more powdered sugar to make it a little thicker & it'll work perfectly every time for ya. That's what I always do myself.

I bought a couple of chocolate ones from Kaci and they were delicious! I make cake pops frequently different ways, going to have to try your recipe. Also one thing I do after cracking a rotten egg into a batch while baking and having it ruin my whole batch, I crack my eggs into a bowl and then put them in (lesson learned from this old lady😉). And I loved Kaci’s remark “you stole my brain” lol. Was such a a pleasure to meet all of you!
