- I did not mention this in the video, however the instruments played such a great part in the outcome of this performance, the musicians did such a great job, they really did amplify his abilities as a singer. The team who organized the effects also did such a fantastic job, everything came together so well.

Michel composed especially for the first performer Daniel Balavoine for his special range. Sadly, Daniel died at the age of 33 in 1986 in a helicopter accident during a humanitarian mission in Mali.

I'm sure you'll want to move on to hear Dimash's tremendous range of talent and variety of languages. Since you loved this song so much, I suggest you also watch the version of S.O.S. he performed on the Chinese TV competition show, "The Singer," in 2017. That was his first introduction to the bigger world. He became an overnight success in China, and is so humble that he was shocked by that. But what I love most about that earlier performance is seeing the expressions of shock, awe, and joy on the audience's faces. For a Kazakh to go on a Chinese show and sing in French is itself pretty gutsy, but he also sang in Russian, Italian, Kazakh, Mandarin, Spanish, and English during the course of the show. Now he's sung in at least 15 languages.

(3) Songs by Kazakh composers, folk music from Kazakhstan, which speak of Kazakh martyrs or love for the motherland, or moving stories in other countries: As an example, “Durdaraz”, “Elim Menim”, “Salmatau”, “Quiran Elim ” (the latter by Kazakh pianist Renat Gaissin), “Daybreak” (Han Hong), “Marigolds” (Ukrainian folk song), among many others...
(4) Songs composed by Dimash himself, with arrangements by him and lyrics by others (the famous poetess Lila Vinogradova, for example): Like the very current “The Story Of One Sky” or the impressive “War And Peace”
(5) Songs composed by Dimash himself, with arrangements by him and Erlan Bekchurin, talking about youthful love, honoring his idols, such as Michael Jackson and Lara Fabian, or honoring fans from other countries: As an example, “Be With Me” , “Unforgatabble Day” (the Kazakh version of Gakku is insane), “Give Me Your Love”, “Golden”, “Screaming”, “Zhalyn”; “El Amor En Ti”, “Fly Away” ...
(6) Songs composed by Dimash's brother (Albimansur “Mansur” Quidabergen, 16 years old) and with lyrics by Dmitry Goubnitskiy and arrangements by Erlan Beckchurin: As an example, “Together”.
(7) Covers of famous songs in several languages: “SOS” (French - Starmania), “Hello” (English - Lionel Richie), “Ikanaide” (Japanese - Koji Tamaki), “All By Myself” (English - Eric Carmen /Celine Dion), “Opera2” (Russo - Vitas), “Adagio” (Lara Fabian), among many others... ...
(8) Video game theme music made exclusively for Dimash: Like the song “Ocean Over The Time”, theme song for the game “Moonlight Blade Online” composed by Thomas Parisch.Theme song for game (the Hollywood Music in Media Award for "Best Original Song in a Video Game" in 2017).

You've been dimashified! The only way to explain Dimash's singing is that he is beyond talented. His is unworldly a once in a lifetime singer. The best way I can describe the way he makes me feel is that he reaches inside you with his voice & raw emotions to actually sing & he touches your soul. I remember discovering Dimash & going down that rabbit hole he brought me to tears many, many times like no artist has ever done. Enjoy your journey with Dimash & if I could suggest one thing, please read his lyrics after listening to his songs. The lyrics of his songs are just as moving as the singing. You can't really read the captions while listening to the songs his voice will just take over & you'll miss the lyrics of the song, which are just as amazing. BTW, you have about 150 more unique songs to stun and shock you. The "feeling" you sensed, comes from his perfect pitch and his emotions while singing that stab straight to the heart and soul.
There are a lot of comments, but in case no one mentioned it: There is a mistake in one of the subtitles. It should say "In the great lottery of the universe, I didn't pick the right numbers." Really sad, but it's a beautiful song. I have listened to it at least 100 times, and I never get sick of it. Thanks for sharing your reaction with us!

I think you would get a great deal out of his songs like War and Peace and Omir Oter. Both with beautiful lyrics and a strong message.
Dimash spreads a strong anti war and world unity message across the globe, when you're ready for something truly hard hitting then take a look at his 13 minute MV The Story of One Sky which he composed, wrote the screenplay, acted the main character and of course, sang all the lyrics. It's been nominated for an award at a major international film festival in London next month.
Something you might also find interesting is his anti war speech at the Central Asian Media Forum which he gave this year.
