Hi, I'm in the UK too and I noticed you can get most of the varieties that she plants they are just called a different name here in the UK and you have to buy them online (unfortunately)
I'm in Canada and am always envious of the beautiful UK gardens. I discovered that Proven Winner's in Canada come in black plant cans..not white like Laura always has. So..I check labels carefully to find them. They are amazing, if you can get them 🌻
@@barbaramclean5995 I’m in Canada also (Toronto region) and the Proven Winners I’ve seen and managed to get have all been in white containers; guess it depends on location/which nursery you deal with. Like you I’m also envious of everyone else’s garden! 😊🇨🇦

I live near Laura and the wind has been relentless this year! Normally I wouldn’t work in it, but I finally had to get brave and just do it.
It's our cool season here .. and this is the only time of the year when we get a little relief from the wind.... Sorry that you have to endure that ... But winter time here in Cape Town south africa is my favourite time to plant stuff .. everything grows... Weather is cool but not cold.

Now I am in love with dahlias. That slideshow had me just fascinated. Each one is my favorite LOL. My dad who is now gone used to grow the most beautiful dahlias and this reminds me of him.
My aunt had a few dinner plate dahlias at her summer cottage by the beach. She loved them. She left them in the ground and they came back 1 or 2 summers anyway. They remind me of her.

I felt so sentimental watch you plant dalhias. I am 71. As a child,my grandmother had a huge Dalhia garden. We always had bouquets in the house, along with sweetpeas. I can see it now and, smell the dirt. We lived in Forks, Washington, near the rainforest. Transplants from San Franscio, the bright flowers were such a welcome sight. At the end of the season, we dug the Dalhias up for winter, marking their names we said goodbye until next season. I miss my Grandma, her loving hand and, her Dalhias. Thank you!

I have seedlings of dahlia growing and its all because of you, I was so scared to try these for fear of failure but they are getting buds and I am so excited..thank you for teaching me to try no matter what if you fail or or not ..

Can't get over how windy it is at GA this year. It's strangely comforting to know that you garden successfully with extreme weather. We have extremes of a different kind - humidity, flooding, heat - and sometimes it can seem like one's own plot is the most impossible to beautify.

Laura, I finally made it out west from IA on vacation for my graduation gift and had to stop at Andrew's. It was quite the experience. Beautiful place plants and people. Extremely helpful. I bought two tree peony red and pink and a sweet potato vine none of these can I find back home. I also bought a pot. I was briefly star struck when your mom came up to me and started talking she's a peach with excellent taste in music.. The music playing inside Andrew's was everything! I could have broke out in soft shoe! Great selection of plants I could have spent a fortune there. Love it and I think I'll stop back by on my way home. How can one go about applying with either of you. Plants are my passion!
I have a new space of about 600 square feet to get my hands in and after watching you plant a million dahlias I’m thankful it’s only 600 square feet cause there’s no way I could ever plant that many of anything! You have an enormous amount of energy for sure! I have many exciting plans for that space and all the encouragement comes from you, so thank you and God bless♥️🌸🌺🌸
