嚴復曾說過："譯事三難：信、達、雅"（《天演論》譯例言）。自希臘《七十士》古卷起首，二千年來聖經翻譯集體努力成果有目共睹；近日蔪新的中文譯本陸續面世，實屬海內外華人教會之感恩盛事。
翻譯首重理解(All translations are interpretations)。過去三十年，聖經研究在方法進路上出現了革命性的變化；因此，中文譯本除章句辭藻的雅正之外，還須全神貫注原文的重複呼應，從而整理書卷的文學分段結構，讓文本字裏行間的微言大義一目瞭然。
《創世記》乃摩西訓誨之始，新舊約聖經的卷首語；其中所載內容人皆耳熟能詳。《新漢語譯本》又如何能幫助讀者豁然開朗？我們且拭目以待。

I really like Pastor Lee's Message , I always learn a new thing every time I listen to his message. Although his teaching sometime is different than what we learn my our church, but if we can humble ourselves and really look into the bible carefully, often time you will find his teaching is right. However I disagree with one of his point, and I would like brothers and sisters can help me

34:40 歷代志上加上了一句，是創世記沒有的。那句話很簡單："哈達死了"四個字。
有誤。創世記36:36也有"哈達死了"，而且桑拉接續他作王。既然大衛征服了以東，為何以東有王又有族長？而且，大衛死時，哈達還未死(列王紀上 11:21)。

我不懂原文，但是顯然李牧師是用原文來理解，他「可能」認為這些部份其他譯本翻的不夠好。
畢竟這個影片是放在推廣新漢語譯本的框架底下…
(這只是提出可能性，並非質疑，也可能李牧師真的說錯了)

cont.. we can look at verse chapter 39:1 got him for a price from the Ishmaelites who had taken him there. Bible clearly told us that Joseph was brought to Egypt by the Ishmaelites, not so call another Midianites Merchant who stole Joseph without his brothers notice and everything was an accident. cont.. I think. I believe for all christian who do not agree with somethings , we should go back to the bible to find answer instead just saying I don't agree. Here are my bible base arguments on this point. Verse 37:25 they saw a travelling band of Ishmaelites, coming from Gilead on their way to Egypt, with spices and perfumes on their camels. here we see Ishmaelites were heading their ( brothers ) way while they were talking about what to do with Joseph, finally they agree instead of killing
cont.. picked him up and threw him into the pit right away. you tell me how can it be far away from them. also if the pit is far away from them but at least was a walking distance or they will be able to see it otherwise what if Joseph escape from the pit and went home to tell his father Jacob. with all these question mark, I can't believe that so call Midianites ( different than the Ishmaelites ) sneak in and stole Joseph without the brothers noticing them and I don't think Joseph would not ..
没有一个译本是完美的。和合本是问题较多的的译本。七十士本是最早最权威的译本。现在的希伯来文圣经比七十士要晩很久才产生。

To me it is impossible. unless it is what the bible was descriped , the brothers sold Joseph to the Midianites= Ishmaelites for twenty pieces of silvers, thats why no matter how loud Joseph was crying for help, it is useless, because the only people who can saved him from these merchants are the one who are selling him. Also the further proof that Midianites=Ishmaelites are the same people ,
cont..all these reasons , I don't agree with him stating that Joseph was stolen instead of sold by his brothers. And please, we can't base on this kind of assumption on one or two Jewish rabbis interpretation. We all know how bad they interpreted the bible at Jesus's time, they got it all wrong. Again, I really like what Pastor Lee teach on other points, but not on this one and the one about David and Goliath.

help me out. I believe no matter how good a pastor is, he is not 100% right, he also has a blind spot. Here is the question, " In the video, he mentioned that Joseph was not sold by his brothers but actually stolen by the Midianites merchantmen, and he base the assumption on two verses on Genesis 37: 28 and 40 :15 . I found that unacceptable for just two verses to overturn something that is so fundamental in our church teaching. But I can't say I do not agree because it is different than what
