In Edo, a group of masked samurai stormed a seafood wholesaler, killing the head clerk and robbing the money. They then crossed paths with Ichi, a blind masseur and master swordman. However, upon recognizing his blindness, they decided to leave without confrontation. The next day, a woman known to Ichi and her samurai customer was found murdered at a brothel, leading to the wrongful apprehension of Ichi as the culprit. However, a few days later, when another couple was found murdered in a similar manner, Ichi was released. With his friend, they began their search for the real culprits.
Broadcast in 1981 in Fuji Television's "Jidai Geki Special" slot. It was based on "One Leg of Darkness", a story from Shotaro Ishimori's popular comic. Tomokazu Miura , who was 29 years old at the time, perfectly fits the image of Sabu in the original story. The adaptation successfully brought the manga to life on screen and proved to be a successful historical drama as well.

Le début me captive déjà et ne me lâche plus jusqu'à la fin.Des scènes d'humour, horreur ..avec un fond de musique très agreable.Les derniers combats sous les feux d'artifice sont à noter dans mes annales personnelles de cinéma ! J'ADORE!!

man, who knew behind those good and innocent face lies a very dark and sinister character that Ikegami dude. luckily Sabu san and Ichi succeed in bringing him down. too bad his mother was overprotective of him, leading him to kill all the innocent girls and their companions. well, too much protection wouldn't necessarily be a good thing either. hope there's a second part of the movie. reminds me of Dobu Oyabun. :))
