I've completed my BEd and during my micro Teaching, I had got a lot of negative comments: like Speak loudly, Call student by its name, Don't be too polite to your students, TLM isn't used correctly, Keep attention to each and to the back benchers, etc. But you showed almost all in your video very easily and it's comprehensive to me, rather than listening to my teacher. 🙏🏻 Thanks
3:10 As a student myself, I don't agree on using "Full English" to teach something. Bcuz the main goal is to make students understand the concepts that you teach. In the Indian scenario using a mix of Native language and English for teaching proved to be more effective in making students understand the concept. Teaching entirely in Native language can be a different scenario.But for English medium students, teaching must be done in a mix of English and native language for benefit of students and to achieve the desired outcome- "Ability of students to apply the concept that you taught in real life scenarios as well as in their examinations.

My teacher gives hi fi if anyone tells correct answer and also she tells give a try there's no problem if it is correct or not this is your learning stage every one does mistake. Your tips are helful. But I think dignified look doesnot mean that it comes only by wearing a saree. A teacher must wear elegant and simple clothes in which they are comfortable. As I being a teacher, I never wear a saree instead choose to wear 3/4 th sleeve kurthi with a trouser and duppatta. Sorry if I am wrong, but 1st appearance is based on our body language , the way we present ourselves.
Completely agree. I'm also in teaching profession but never wear saree. I prefer comfortable clothes like kurthis Attire , attitude and our knowledge matters.
I am a teacher I wear matching accessories and leave my sari single pleated hair I leave it loose I go well groomed yes attention is on me but I believe in my teaching I see teachers giving boring lectures and they leave what’s the point in being dignified and delivering a poor lecture The lady here who is in the video is equally boring with her wrong pronunciation though modestly dressed

Hi Ma'am, I understand the intention of this video. However I see it's operating from bias. A specific dress doesn't matter . Yes having formal attire is a good suggestion. You'd missed the way to segment the demo class. Understanding the time , segmenting the teaching into hook, teacher led , student led is critical. When it comes to asking students we can use different strategies too, cold call, asking students who has their name starting with a specific alphabet etc. This video takes a really shallow approach towards the demo. Requesting you to do the research well, talk to people who have been doing this for sometime so multiple perspectives is taken into consideration. I've been interviewing teachers and onboarding teachers close to a decade now.
