Shebang! Can you dig it! Kasey Casem! Paul Petersen! 1967! In color! I give Paul Petersen all the credit in the world for trying to tackle such a great song. He worked with it nicely. Though it doesn't quite compare to Marvin Gaye's incendiary, soulful version, it's still a treat to see Petersen swayin' and finger poppin' in his continental threads.

Magnificent! Paul had done quite a bit of garage rock after leaving Colpix (sadly much of which remains unreleased). As such, his signing with Motown was most welcome, as were the two resultant singles, A Little Bit For Sandy and this one. Elated that this clip has survived.

Yes glad this was preserved but in all og his rexordings except for "My Dad" he doesnt put out much volume. Is it just because these are such old copies? I'd like to hear something strong and cleaarly js.

I only found this song today. I love it! I decided to purchase this original version and Marvin Gaye's. I like them both a lot, but I prefer the arrangement on this one. Both artists were on Motown at the time. This is a very cool clip!

I forgot that Paul Peterson did record for Motown in the mid sixties! Paul's claim to fame was the Donna Reed show and is a nice charitable man in person but not a great singer! Listen to Marvin Gaye's version of Chained and hear the enormous difference!

Paul worked at Motown for a Hot Minute in the 1960's. I think they were trying to do with them what they couldn't do with Chris Clark (Love's Gone Bad). He did alot for former Child Stars. He created a Support Group called A Minor Consideration where the current crop are counselled by the veterans on how to handle their Fame. I wish he could talk to Aaron Carter. He was also part of a Round Table Discussion with Kim Fields and Sara Gilbert and they were candid about how life as a Child Star wasn't all that it was cracked up to be.
