The more I've seen on Petersen's life and career, the deeper level of respect I have for him both as a professional and a human being. Talk about a *grounded* person. I just love this guy.

I rediscovered the song, My Dad by Paul Peterson sang in 1962 recently. I was a girl, 8 years old and I remember singing that song at full throttle. My Dad taught me to sing before he died in 1959. So as you might imagine that song was not just a pop song to me. I sang it from deep in my heart over and over. Thank you, Paul Peterson. 💔
I have been interested in child performers and the dangers for a long time. This is an excellent interview and I thing Paul Petersen has done excellent work in trying to help with these children and provide valuable information. Very interesting hour.

Wow what a blessing you are to the child stars and their families - such helpful wisdom. Most of us viewers are clueless to the real struggles these families face.

I was just thinking the same thing. What a nice guy.
I heard that the Actor who played Rusty on The Danny Thomas Show who killed himself because he couldn't handle life outside of Show Business. He also worked at Motown for a brief minute back in the day. I really admired him for what he did. I wish that they would do the same thing for UK Boy Band/Girl Group Icons from the late 1990's/2000's, many of which found life very hard after the Fame ended.
Paul gives incredibly compelling, informative interviews. I've learned a lot from him.

The audio was uninterpretable
I appreciated his portrayal of a kid period...very realisitc and always on the money. He and Charles Herbert were both extraordinary and it was pity that the higher-ups were so dull thay could not utilize these young men when they grew up. Great writer,too!
He delivered those caustic lines to his little brother in Houseboat with total realism. Lol. He was great

@40:30....Paul mentions "Erin Moran" as the baby on BEWITCHED, when it was Erin Murphy. It seems a little "prophetic" that he should inadvertently mention another recent tragedy in Hollywood.

I really enjoy watching The Donna Reed Show by the way, and Paul along with the other cast members are really great!!!!!
I always wanted my family to be like The Donna Reed Show or Father Knows Best as I hid under the kitchen table or escaped to the neighbors.
Its now athletes like Freddy Adu or WTA tennis players like Jelena Dockic.
