I remember how my classmates were obsessed with "I will be Popular" and "Lipstick".We were listening and singing it all the time xD
Now my favorites are "Love in Rewind","Watch my Dance"(epic song) and "One More Day"(i feel some Linkin Park vibes).
Lena's second song was also amazing and sounds modern even today :D

I was also into "I will be popular" and "New tomorrow" during the festival, but now "love in rewind", "watch my dance" and "madness of love" are my favorites.
I really agree with you that Lena's song was amazing.

Overall, a pretty nice top in my eyes! It's nice to see Switzerland, Italy, Bulgaria, Serbia, Poland, Belarus, and Iceland so high up! Also respect for putting San Marino really high up also. Senhit/Senit should be the queen of San Marino (Serhat is the God of San Marino and Valentina is literally the Goddess of Eurovision).
    My top 5:
    5. Bulgaria (This used to be my second, but it dropped down overtime)
    4. Estonia (It's a really cool techno song, too bad most people know it for the Nightcore version)
    3. Bosnia & Herzegovina (Dino is quite respectable, and the song is a nice upbeat one)
    2. Italy (It's weird because I normally don't care for jazz. But in Eurovision I quite like jazz-)
    1. Belgium (I don't know why Moldova was able to qualify over this, it's a very unique song. Like my 4th or 5th fave Eurovision song ever)

i think this is the esc that has aged the worse, but apart from that now im wondering what the stories behind the islandic song and ukrainian national final are.

    • @pinkeurovisionflowers572
      @pinkeurovisionflowers572  Před 4 lety +2

The original singer from Iceland died a few weeks before the national final, so his friends decided to sing the song (which is why the name of the band is Sjonni's Friends). For Ukraine, the national final was basically one big mess haha 😂 from what I remember, there was a national final and Mika won, but people said it was rigged so they organized a new national final with the top 3 (Mika, Zlata and Jamala). But Zlata and Jamala couldn't be bothered to take part, so the new final was scrapped and Mika won anyway

And here we are to arguably the worst year of the 2010's quality wise. We had many surprising results and barring some exceptions we more or less agree on most of the songs. Though I do believe this year is the lowest in quality I can find at least 10 songs that I like so here's my top 10:
    1. Georgia: didn't like this back in the days but has grown very much in the years. I get why you don't like it, but I find it very strong and epic. Also I usually like or at least don't mind screaming so it's a song that fits me.
    2. Slovenia: the song that I have seen in almost everyone's top10, really solid, yet not to die for.
    3. Ukraine: this also really grew on me at the contest, the performance obviously helped a lot but I also now find a good song in there.
    4. Estonia: really catchy pop song with a quirky quality to it. Not the best performance though.
    5. Greece: colour me biased here but I do like this, the chorus is strong and dramatic and I don't mind the rap parts
    6. Serbia: always liked it, cheerful and colourful, pleasant to listen to
    7. Switzerland: has grown on me, cute and bright song
    8. Hungary: has grown off me in the years, its still solid but the performance took it down.
    9. Spain: #3 of the feelgood songs after Serbia and Switzerland, really catchy
    10. Cyprus: always liked it, it has nice lyrics and I enjoy the screamy parts
    Honorable mentions: Bulgaria, Finland, Germany
Sadly I don't like any of the top 3 of this year, I find all of them annoying in different ways.

I think this year is really good and underrated by fans. The stage is maybe the best in Eurovision history. The hosts were amazing too, and the songs...here's my top 43:
    Masterpieces:
    1. Italy
    2. Georgia
    3. Bulgaria
    4. Switzerland (I've always loved this simple and beautiful song)
    5. Cyprus (so underrated)
    Good songs:
    6. Bosnia & Herzegovina
    7. Serbia
    8. Latvia
    9. Germany (has grown on me over the time)
    10. United Kingdom
    11. Moldova (I like the song, but these hats...seriously?)
    12. Belarus
    13. North Macedonia (Sounds like a mess at first, but fun)
    14. The Netherlands
    15. Finland
    16. Denmark
    17. Estonia
    18. San Marino
    19. Slovenia
    20. Iceland
    21. Azerbaijan (I understand how it won - it looked amazing on stage. But I agree the results of 2011 were random)
    22. Spain
    23. Greece
    24. France
    25. Portugal (same as Moldova. Doesn't look good on stage)
    Okay songs:
    26. Albania
    27. Romania
    28. Belgium
    29. Slovakia
    30. Ireland
    31. Austria
    32. Turkey
    33. Norway
    34. Russia
    35. Hungary
    36. Poland (awful in live)
    37. Lithuania
    Bad songs:
    38. Sweden ("Stop, don't say that it's impossible, 'cause I know it's possible". Really?)
    39. Israel
    40. Ukraine (everyone knows it did so well just because of this sand artist. The song has nothing special or interesting)
    41. Malta
    Really bad songs:
    42. Croatia
    43. Armenia (so stupid and embarrassing)

Thank you for realising that Sweden was massively overrated in 2011. The performance was good but other than that it's a waste of a time. Bad song, terrible lyrics topped off with a poor voice. No thank you.
