Your video really helped me with a yellowed ga110 , it was transparent io origin , now is red yellow and blue and is very cool, thanks 😊
That sounds awesome, glad I could help🙏🏾
Nice job Mike. Love the wristy and the water marbling technique was fab. 💕🌹
Thanks Rose. Thanks for the use of the kitchen lol.
Such a cool idea! Thanks so much for sharing sir🙂
No problem. It’s easy to do as you can see. I’m eager to see someone else have a go too😉
Looks like a fun project.
Definitely one for the lighter side of our hobby and not expensive at all.
Cool. It's like tie dying your GShock.
Yeah, this method lasts a lot longer than dying though😉
What was it you said the other day about better to ask for forgiveness rather than permission...lmfao! Cracking video Mike, the process reminds me of tie-dying t-shirts in primary school...40 yrs ago lmfao! A really fantastic idea & such a cool result which produces a one of a kind watch...like a fingerprint, no two are the same. Great stuff & great fun. Thanks for sharing mate!
Hahahah, glad you liked it man. Yeah, when it comes to “teens” I’d rather ask for permission lol. I remember the tie-dying too, along with the bleached jeans. We must have been mad lol. Tell you what though, my teen daughter tie-dyed a shirt the other day and she thought she had just invented a new fashion, I just rolled my old eyes lol.
Desire 68 lmfao...sounds familiar lmfao!
I'm gona try this!
:D
Be sure to let us know how you get on, it’s a fun project for sure. 👍🏾
Very cool
Glad you liked it.
Very cool!
Cheers man😉
I've done hydro dipping on parts of my Saleen before....never seen it done on a watch. Great idea.
Nice one Dane. You already know how fun and satisfying it is😉
I wonder what effects you could achieve using fizzy water? That was so much fun to watch, and as I'm in a house with fabulous girls I could do this all day long and never run out LML :-P
Cheers for sharing something original to me :)
Hmmmm “fizzy water” sounds like a plan for the weekend lol
@@desire68frogman98 Can't wait... film it even if it goes magically wrong LML :-P
Hahahahaha, it’s all content right lol
@@desire68frogman98 Exactly :))
Can you please upload the actual video of dipping the bezel and strap ?
Back then, when I did the work on the strap and bezel, I didn’t record it as it was just meant to be a fun trial. It turned out so well that I had to make this video to show the process so this is all I have I’m afraid.
Excellent vid . Have you tried a Hydro -Mod where you pour silicone oil into a G Shock ? For a better effect try using Fluorinert for a Sinn UX look ;)
I’ve seen this but have yet to try it. The results look cool but if you ever need to reopen the case again, messy work🥴
Desire 68 Frogman Agreed entirety and it’s a mess putting it in ! Something to try on a cheap DW5600 , maybe not Tiffany ;)
Eric Bell definitely not on Tiffany, that would be a fate worst than death lol
Desire 68 Frogman ;)
The surface are on the spoon seems much smaller than the watch. Do you just use more paint before dipping and do it all at once?
No, I dipped into fresh paint three different times. Once each for both pieces of the strap and once for the bezel.
should I remove the inners before doing this or just tape off the watch face?? something I didn't here in video
Definitely remove the resin pieces from the watch first.
i think that will crack... anyone here knows what to use on straps that won't crack
@@happypets2245 I can say that I still have it on my watch and it never cracked.
What's the paint material pLs.
It nail varnish Randy, all my daughter’s and wife’s nail varnish🤣🤣🤣
Is that works for black rubber gshock?
Absolutely my friend. It will work with any colour resin. You will just need to choose your colours accordingly, for example, for black resin I would only use the lightest colours. Don’t forget to have fun with it and if you don’t like the way it turns out, use nail varnish remover as soon as you take it out from dipping as it’s easier to remove while the nail polish is still wet.
How did you leave the lettering on the bezel unpainted?
Hi Kat, I simply didn’t mess with it. Just let the natural flow of the nail varnish take its course.
Doesn't it flake off?
Nope, it’s still good after a couple of years 🖤
@@desire68frogman98 nice!
how good it stays on plastic?
I’ve only tried it on my watch resin and it’s still on there after all these years.
How to remove the hydro dip?
Paint thinners and a cloth will do the job.
