- Ireland campervan trip - wild Atlantic way road trip (van life Ireland)
After moving out of our house and into our van to start full time van life, we made the trip to Ireland and we are finally now on the west coast starting our wild Atlantic way road trip! This is one of the longest coastal roads in the world and supposedly one of the most special, and after our first day on it we think that could be the case. Its 1600 miles longs its gonna take us a while so you will have to follow along to see if you agree as we will often be dodging the brutal Irish weather. We found a great way this week with an ancient Irish tradition of a seaweed bath followed by some highly entertaining evening entertainment! This couples motorhome was sinking and submerged at this tidal park up!
We explore Doolin and the cliffs of Moher and get a taste of what this van life experience on the Irish west coast is going to provide..

Hopefully you are enjoying this Irish travel series as much as we are and we are managing to show you just some of the stunning landscapes that FIreland has to offer in this Irish travel vlog.
As usual, we have tried to include a bit of everything, some cinematic scenery mixed with our usual female van life foolery, we always love hearing what you lot think in the comments so do let us know, and as always, thank you for watching!
Follow us on our journey as we attempt to create a proper youtube travel series as we, two female travelers and vanlifers, attempt to travel across Europe in our rolling tiny home.

It’s always interesting working out who your sponsors are 😂
No sponsors in this video at all. It’s quite obvious when the videos are sponsored as we say “this video is sponsored by” or “thanks to this weeks video sponsor..” plus there will always be a link in the description as that’s what a sponsor pays for. We also show the “this video contains paid promotion” label at the start, which this video doesn’t have. We paid for everything we did in this video.
From the time this channel was tiny we have documented where we go and we love to promote local tourism as much as we can, especially as it’s so good. If somewhere isn’t then we also document that too, like when we visited Amsterdam for example.
We also love to support small uk vanlife businesses, if we’ve used them and they are good, we will include them in our videos as well, for no payment at all, we feel this is a good way to promote independent uk business and to many of our “vanlife” living audience this adds value.
Of course, to do all of that we need a popular channel, so to continue to achieve that we will include larger more corporate sponsors, again, only if we use them ourselves, as this means we can fund continually producing weekly, free content, that we hope is of a good standard. We simply couldn’t do it without sponsors.
I’ll pin this comment at the top as I know you didn’t ask for all that info but the fact you made the point offers an opportunity to clear this us for anyone else who may be wondering the same.
Thanks so much for watching and we hope you enjoy what we do. 😃
Wild Atlantic way looks like my kinda drive stunning
whoops, somebody's button got pushed, ah, well, sometimes the bleedingly obvious needs explaining, please shoot me if i ever get that stoopid @@campervibe
Is your van diesel or petrol we are not sure which camper to go for?😍
@@campervibe love you guys just say it as it is🥰
I swear these vlogs are not long enough. Always looking forward to your camper vibes!
😀😀
you two just make this video lark look so easy, the quality you produce is extraordinary, the places you find are second to none, but most of all you both looked sooo happy .The only thing i would add is your videos are always over to quickly 🥰🥰
Thanks 😀
@@campervibe Don't change. They're perfect works of art and wouldn't be the same if they were watered down. Just long enough to watch all the way through.
Emily and Lou, we cannot overstate enough how much we enjoy your channel. My husband and I have been #vanlife watchers of CZcams for about 7-8 years now and your channel is our all-time FAVORITE! We only found your channel about 4 weeks ago and I think we've watched nearly every episode you've produced. Your realness, banter, beautiful scenery, your beloved poppets, and everything else is what makes watching you so enjoyable. Your video and editing skills are progressing amazingly and I can't imagine you getting any better! We look forward to a new episode every Sunday. We wish you all the best and we will be here for a long, long time to come! Much love from Kent, WA, USA. :)
Wow! That's one huge binge watching month. ❤
@@lemonladyYTtbf, I did the same when I found their channel 😂 found it compulsive and interesting viewing - now I open a vino or Guinness every Sunday to pour whilst watching - like my own little RL soap opera 😂😂
@@joolzdb I binged too but nearly every episode in a month is true dedication.
@@lemonladyYT I'm relieved you see it as dedication rather than a bit stalker-ish. LOL. We really enjoy CZcams and travel and have just started vanlifing ourselves in the US and it's just so much fun - especially when you find such charming folks as Lou and Emily - and AJ and Summer, of course. :) They definitely seem like "our people" - I'm definitely more Emily and relate to her adherence to rules and such; hubby is a bit more relaxed and handy like Louise, so... we both relate and both thoroughly enjoy the videos.
Thank you so much that is a really kind and lovely message from you and others who have commented as well. We are so lucky to have amazingly kind people like yourselves enjoying the videos 😀😀
Even though watching a house being swallowed by a river is kinda frightening, a camper being slowly swamped definitely is something worthy to watch in slow motion. Ireland is a promised gift. Can't wait to see Emily do some Irish dancing moves. ¡¡Pura Vida!!
I’ll need a good practice at that
I wouldn't have been worried about being swept away but more concerned about the salt water sitting against your wheels and brakes
Amazing, stupendous, magnificent, spectacular..... any of these can substitute for stunning.
Hi girls, love your videos. There is only one thing wrong, and that is there is not enough of them! 😀xx
🤣😀
Again, welcome to Ireland. The Wild Atlantic Way is one of our most favourite places ever. If you need suggestions, I suggest going north also to Leenane (Ireland's only fjord) and then Donegal. We have a coastline which you could spend the rest of your days exploring. It's raw and spiritual and powerful. So much genuine soul.
Also Skelligs. The monasteries...
Love you two. We've been following for some time now.
Amazing, we will be going that way 😀
@@campervibeWhen passing through Sligo (if you haven’t already passed it) make sure to head inland a few km. You should check out Lough Gill and the woodlands around it, Glencar and the Devil’s Chimney (proper name Sruth in Aghaidh an Aird) waterfalls and the Gleniff Horseshoe. A lot of people whizz through heading for Donegal because they see some nice mountains in the distance and keep going. Glencar valley is beautiful and is literally a 10 minute drive from the WAW.
The West Coast of Ireland doesn't just look wonderful, it feels wonderful somehow ❤
Absolutely addicted to this channel. Your editing and content are top notch, thanks girls and happy travelling 😀
Thanks 🙂
A nice reminder of my visit up the west coast 4 years ago when I stayed in Doolin for 3 nights...My wife is from Co Cork so we're down that way quite often.
A tide table is a Good option when parking so close to the sea = salt water = rust 😲
Great show you two! You're filming and editing is on another level 👍🚐🐕👊
Wonderful video! It's now seven years that my wife and I did the northern half of the WAW and it was spectacular. What I can highly recommend when you're going up north are two little road loops outside of Clifden (one is called Sky Road and the other I think was called Inagh Valley via Kylemore Abbey). Also, I'd recommend to visit the Slieve League Cliffs in Co. Donegal.
Can't wait for your next videos. Best wishes from Germany.
Thanks 😀😀
I’m a Brit living in Ireland (Fermanagh) & london, you will get all seasons in one day and lots of rain there. Loving watching where you are and comparing notes.
Loved the video ladies, very well put together and edited. Visited the Cliffs of Moher on a trip around the west coast on our motorbike in 2007. It was so windy that one gust blew a little Japanese lady clean off her feet and off the steps of O'Briens tower. She landed well and wasn't badly hurt, but she was well shaken up. She was with family who took care of her. Its great that you are highlighting the stops and facilities, as previously Ireland didn't have too many good reviews about places to stay, so well done and thanks. Take care.👋
Oh yeah the winds can be horrendous for sure
Another great video, enhanced by fantastic scenery of the emerald isle.
Dont wish to put a dampener on things but be careful with AJ drinking from lakes and rivers etc as algae blooms can be fatal for dogs.
So looking forward to future episodes.
Thanks and don’t worry we always check before we let him drink
Definitely a problem along the north coast of Northern Ireland at the moment and some dogs have died. Lough Neagh is definitely affected, as is the River Bann and where is runs to the sea. Affected beaches should be signposted as algae is not always visible. Absolutely loving these videos.
I can see you’ve settled nicely into Ireland with our lovely windy rainy weather!!! Now you understand why as a people we curse a lot hehehehe. Also if you’re looking at houses around Donegal and you’re wondering why they’re so cheap it’s because they have bad Mica issues. They fall apart after a few years of being built so look out for that up north . Great video!!!
Thank you for the heads up 🙂
Houses built from 1980s on, I think, are affected? Nice little old stone Donegal cottage will be grand!
Good point
Great video as always. We did the southern WAW in a van around 7 years ago. Wetter than an otters pocket.. we only lasted one night in the van before we caved in and booked into a Holiday Inn to dry out. Fond memories of the food, locals and Guinness. Keep up the great work.
😂 love that
This episode was so much fun! And I really enjoyed Summer's sarcastic comments. 😼
Nothing better to do on a Sunday than watch a camper vibe vid. Love it as always :) #summeristhebest
😀😀
Nice place! So good to hear Ireland are providing these little park ups. 👍
I look forward to your videos and wonder where you will be each week. AJ seems to take things in his stride, where as Summer's looks say it all and I loved the little comments showing her pussable thoughts especially on the three of you landing back after a good old soaking outside. I remember once being in our tourer as a child with our dog, the weather was so vile, extreme and relentless we had to give up after a few days, so hats off to you both! By the way what a bargain that park up was with the showers, water and waste facilities. Handy for people to know.
Oh yeah, that was a beaut of a park up for sure 😀
You've made my Sunday! Thank you for taking me with you on your adventure🐶🐱
Thanks for coming 😀
I feel like I’m getting rain on me from just watching !
When you get to America and California has the coastal Highway along the Pacific Ocean very scenic definitely a must do.
What a wonderful world we live in. Thank you for taking those of us along who can't see the beauty of Ireland in person. I'm always in awe of how amazing your adventures are.
We have just got back from a month in Ireland in our electric campervan and are loving your video. We did the northern part of the wild Atlantic Way before Covid and have only just got back for the next part of Ireland. Loving your video and looking forward to your trip along the southern part of the Wild Atlantic Way which we will be doing next summer. Property in Ireland is so varied and cheap so looking forward to seeing your property hunting. We saw loads of abandoned small holdings that would make awesome homes.
Hope you have a great time when you come back here, there is so much to see 😀
You guys are fantastic, living the life me and my girlfriend want to do.
Kids need to be little bit more grown up ❤
Just love you both yous cheer me up with your laughs.Take care out there.❤
Summer knows what weather is like and decides it's better inside. Great vlog, lovely stops.
Thank you so much for doing all your holiday vlogs I'm not able to travel far due to my illness so your vlogs keep me going and I look forward to Sunday
😀😀
It's a fabulous place and magical to . And yes the roads r so small and full of pot Holes. Be save enjoy.
What you need to protect your mic in rain is a ziploc bag of the right size fastened around the wire
Admit it, we all have the guilty pleasure of watching fellow vanners doing clueless things or arguing (putting up awnings is a particular favourite). I have never seen a flood, but I did see someone back into a campers car and then just drive off - the guy in the tent was just standing there in disbelief 😮😂. Glad you are enjoying Ireland so far, we love to take the p but they are truly lovely people, and I’m 1/4 Irish, so ❤
Ya mouching in to "plastic paddery" there, 6782. I'm the same, genealogy wise, but, after the "blight" are'nt most people, somewhere down the line; and they WERE partial to monster families in those days. On our street alone, in West Yorkshire, there were three families with Irish mothers ( ours inc ) and it went 11,12, 13 kids. As for saying a breed of people are lovely, sure some are, some ar'nt. Blanket statements are crass.
Oh yeah we used to love getting to a campsite early to watch pitchers 🤣🙈
@@blackbob3358 yes your right, I stand corrected, the ones I have met have been lovely.
Loving the journey so far and makes me want to do the whole ‘way’ again - looking forward to future videos!
It’s been a great trip to date 😀
Absolutely love you guys.. You are power Angel's ... keep blessing us with your content x
If only our fur babies could talk!
The Irish constantly talk about the weather as well. Great videos girls. 💚🍀💚😺😺
Best quote “lm leaving my hat on” 🤣🤣
Another great video as always, Ireland is so beautiful indeed. Lovely seeing you girls so happy and AJ getting out and having fun tooo. Summer looking good as well , funny the way she was with the cow. Take care all this coming week 👍
As if she could have caught a cow 🤣🐈⬛
Louise your healthy eating is paying off...you look fabulous!! 😊
She has done really well
Hi guys such a great video, sorry that you’re getting all the rain, but that wouldn’t be Ireland would it.
Love to see you both looking so very happy, doing what you’re doing really suits all of you.
When I saw you going into the chocolate factory 😂😂😂, Emily’s face was a picture, great content as always.
See you next week 😊😊
I loved it 😀
Amazing - loved the unique entertainment at the end - great spot the water was coming up and the seaweed. You can’t beat the entertainment when it happens when out and about.
Have an awesome trip - David & Rachel ❤️
I know right 😀
Lol loved the blurbs you put for summer. Made me lol whilst everyone else asleep lol
❤😊hello ladys so happy to see you again Emily you do make me laugh chocolate factory wow heaven 😊 happy days love your videos I think I've seen every one now love them😊
Love Ireland! Try Atlantic Sea Kayaking! Say hello to Jim and Maria from Tomas and Pam!
Great video as ever I hate sea weed!!!!!!
Thanks for making
Take care and stay safe
If Emily is not interested in taking a dip in the wet stuff, then I see no other option than that you, Louise, give a report on how wet, cold etc the H2O is at your current location: We do accept screams of "Bloody murder!" and similar to get a proper understanding of the water temperature....
Exactly right
OMG Emily is such a woman after my own heart. I am a sucker for any bakery or sweet shop and usually buy WAY too much of everything .. like I am going trekking through the wilderness and won’t be able to find anything ever again. 😂😂😂❤
Oh the chocolate was lovely as well
that stir fry looked f***** amazing!, always love watching your videos!
Brilliant as always, and welcome to sunny Ireland 😅 Arlene and Spider
What a lovely place is Ireland. 😄So happy to see your journey to find a home. What an exciting time!
Still bingeing. Loving it, but pass on the seaweed bath. Although Darren did eat some when in Vietnam. 😂😂
Thank you for the bit of fun with the submarine van! Glad the water stopped rising in time for them though.
Beautiful scenery, I can see why you've chosen to go there & I'm with Em regarding heights, cliff edges etc.
It really is beautiful
great parking at Easkey and mad swimming women and men
Hi l am watching your vlog my sister lives in cork l have never been.thank you sharing your trip of Ireland , have a great time and stay safe ❤
Always love watching your videos whether it’s peeing down or sunny 🤣 totally get the camera and mic thing when it’s raining just a shame the primark brolly didn’t manage to stay the right way up 🤣🤣 great content ladies your editing and filming is inspiring !! Keep doing what you do ❤ xxx
I know, I was gutted
I stayed overnight in the car park at the cliffs of moher. I arrived at 8pm and the barriers were up. In the morning the sunrise was amazing. I expected to have to pay, but was told that because i arrived after 8pm the previous night. I wouldn't need to pay at all.
I was a bit sceptical but when i drove out the next morning the barrier just lifted and let me out
Glad to see Emily didn’t catch Lou’s cold! Those happy days just done the wild Atlantic way did you guys watch?they went to a seaweed bath too
I think I had the cold first 🤣🙈 no we didn’t watch them
Always love your editing efforts. The >pop< with Summer's ears was *chef's kiss*🤣
This was interesting and I love the humor.
You girls should have a look at this amazing girl who just started a channel repairing her RV she is only 15 channel is Remi.
Fantastic. Summer got a talking part.😂
Em, I know you were in chocolate heaven at the chocolate making store. 😂 Love the scenery shots of the landscape in the video, you guys do an awesome job as usual. Rain or shine you have fun regardless. Hugs and kisses to AJ and Summer. Stay safe and have fun. 🤩
Thanks 😊

Stunning, beautiful, brilliant words to describe Ireland. Funniest part of the video, Summer thinking 'Idiots!' 🤣🤣😹😹
Yep 🤣🤣
Love to you all and Godbless you all XX
Loved loved loved it! ❤
Emily’s fun facts are wonderful and so needed! Able to listen to (no, wasn’t driving and watching at the same time - but still so so entertaining) ur video on road trip thru Nevada and Utah to ABQ Balloon Festival and an “Emily” on the trip would have been great! The backroad scenery here are amazing, can’t wait for when you guys are able to come and paint your story to the stunning scenery here with fun facts and awesome visual perspectives. Enjoy your house hunt!
We can’t wait to do more like that 😀
loving this new chapter of van life!
enjoyed the bloke at the end - and we both laughed out loud at Summer's response to the cow! you can tell that pussycat is happy indoors right now! BEAUTIFUL countryside!
Lovely vid and production. Know where I’m heading for my hols next June.
Naturally!😋
Found your website a few weeks ago. The first ting we did, after seen one episode, was to subscribe. (So no need to subscribe wan across the screen.) The first video we found was when you was in Norway. (Great video! We are Norwegian btw.) But we quickly seen all your videos up to now. So we dessided to go back and start from the first one. We don't like the quality at that time, so we skipped to somtime in atumn 2021, and we now are finished to se the rebuilding of the wan in january 2022. ¨
We look forward to all your videos that you have made, and any new in the future. We also make videos, and learn a lot from your videos, and are impressed with all your work you put in.
Thank you!
I was a soldier. Not toasted or buttered.
But a long time ago, but still getting up at dawn, in Bangkok, to watch your damp emerald isle adventures!
Super photography.
Womens' Longings: Chocolate (hot or cold), hot baths, peace & quiet, a variety of foods, an occasional glass of wine.
Yaay, you're coming to Northern Ireland. 👍
If you want an interesting drive up a narrow windy road with spectacular views, check out the Torr Road from Cushendun to Ballycastle. Cushendun is a beautiful little village on the coast, and Morton's in Ballycastle has some of the best fish and chips in Northern Ireland (not sponsored, honest). Enjoy your trip, ladies, no matter where you end up.
So looking forward to it and thanks 😀
I'll bet that the guy in the camper blamed his wife for the tide!😂 once I pulled over because it was raining, so hard I couldn't see to drive. So I took a nap. I woke up just in time another hour, and the water would have been in my van! I had parked near a river and didn't notice.
That’s crazy
@campervibe diffently! Instead of the van down by the river. I would have been the van sailing the river🤪 If you don't know the reference, it's from Saturday Night Live!
Hi you 2 you might enjoy this channel Jammy Gits just a thought. happy trails
I'm a South African and went to Ireland in 2014 for a holiday and this is bringing back good memories
Loving watching your irish trip as thinking of going next year.
Fab fun!!
Brilliant 😊
Welcome to my country
Only discovered you guys last week so just catching up on your great videos. Lovin yer vibe :) I'm local to this area so if you're passing through there's plenty more to see such as two visitor caves, the Burren Perfumery and Burren Visitor Centre and if ye fancy a tipple there's Burren Distillers! But imo the best part is the freedom to hike along the rocky hills just off the beaten track of the WAW. Apart from the unique flora (May) and fauna there's plenty more to see such as dolmens, stone ringforts and castles and even Father Ted's Rectory house!
Welcome to the Wild Atlantic Way. It's a shame our weather is so inclement.
I'll give you a wave when you pass my farm in West Cork.
If you like cliffs make a wee detour in Kerry to the Kerry Cliffs at Portmagee. It's less well known and touristy, therefore much cheaper. The cliffs are higher and the views are even more spectacular than Mohar.
Yeah we are hoping to see the Kerry cliffs 😀
Excellent
Its a pity that you didn't get to film in Doolin during fine weather. When there are blue sky and calm seas, Doolin its absolutely stunning, its well worth going back there on a nice clear day
Stunning video! 😀
The car park for the cliffs is expensive but if 1 person just drives in and the rest get out you only pay for 1 the centre is free and doolin is we're you can get the boat over to the Aaron island it's lovely over there
Nice one........🤙👍
Van life is wonderful
Just one comment, it’s law in Ireland that dogs are restraint in a suitable harness whilst travelling
Enjoy your travels
Enjoying your videos
Pink house has a great happy face I can't unsee!! 😃 xxx
Another fabulous video girls. We always love seeing you AJ and Summer. You are definitely giving the coast of Ireland a fresh vibrant look. Stay safe ❤
Great video girls ❤
The Wild Atlantic Way is firmly on our bucket list but we might give it a miss in Autumn...!
When it rains, focus on the rainbows. Indeed!
😀🌈
forget the summer months, can be just as wet and gazillions of campervans on the road!
