I really love that in the end, Dolcinaea played fair, she wasn’t cheating or underhanded, heck she gave Agnea the stage to compete against her. They had different ideas about what being a star meant, but ultimately they both worked hard for their own reasons to shine brightly. She felt like more of an honourable rival than an evil force and in the game, that was really refreshing
That's the point of Agnea's story is just how lighthearted it was; there weren't intended to be any real evil forces in her story. Though that one theater manager was evil given how greedy and jealous he was; and good was in Dolcinaea even back then telling him off to leave that little tavern alone. The funny thing is, I did see 1Up Binge's video, and she was higher on the morality list than two of the protagonists; which as a final boss makes her like an odd one out. But she was never evil, just a bit too liberal and cocky. And in the end, she turned her life around and realized she never truly learned what Cuani tought her until Agnea showed up. And given she has like no character flaws to speak of, she's the brightest, shiniest, and most adorable character in the game. It's no surprise they gave her the gold medal for good. And yeah, this is what I consider the best song in the game.

When starting Agnéa's final chapter, I was expecting to hear the usual for the dawn theme with agnéa's theme in it, not this extraordinary banger. It took me by surprise so much that I instantly fell in love with it!
Agnea's was actually the first final chapter I did, and I ended up assuming that this would be the only final boss of the main paths to have two phases, like Simeon in Octopath 1 (that assumption aged poorly).
I love how Agnea's story was about making a banger like this with all the experiences and lyrics she accumulated! Her story wasn't as dynamic, sad or mysterious as the others but this was a wholesome and honest PATH!
Yeah, much like Tressa and Alfyn in the first game, not every character has to have some kind of sad backstory or enormous goal. Some of them just want to follow their passion, and because we have 8 protagonists some of them can do that without cheating us out of those grandiose stories of the others. I think it balances out the cast nicely and I like the personal touch it adds. Also, Agnea's theme is an absolute banger.
I started crying when her friends cheered her on. Sure we’ve got a lot of stories about the various friends the travelers have picked up, but none of them have been as involved as Agnea’s. They felt like they truly helped her grow and become a better dancer and it felt like they both got something out of their friendship.
Let's be real Nobody expected the fact that Agnea had her own final boss theme. And we love it, it's like "One more push, THE END OF OUR GOAL IS IN OUR HANDS!"
