Your art style really sparks for me, this days, especially in webtoons, it seems that everyone needs to fit into a certain style to get attention (if that is your art style I think it's completely fine it is really good quality art style ) but I feel the catalog really lacks on diversity, and your watercolor-esque ghibli-esque style really does bring me to past days and does makes me feel some nostalgia that really drives me in. As a fellow webtoons canvas comic creator I've always struggled to make my own videos despite me wanting to so bad (camera shy I guess!) Thank you for putting yourself out there and being the example people like me need! Also, in regards to working full time and determining a posting schedule, I highly recommend you do bi-weekly as opposed to once a week. You'll go through your buffer so quick and honestly I've found that webtoons readers prefer a more robust episode instead of small bite sized episodes (especially for the genre you're making your comic in!) I'm so excited to read your comic, I too am a full time accountant looking to be more artistic 😂

This is so exciting!! I quit making my webcomic of four years a few weeks ago, and I’ve been feeling listless since. I want to start a new one with the lessons I’ve learned but my idea is so small and it’s just a work in progress. But if I were to recommend any book, it’d have to be one about making comics! “Making Comics: Storytelling Secrets of Comics, Manga and Graphic Novels” by Scott McCloud ʕ•ᴥ•ʔ It’s been immensely helpful in helping me figure out how to effectively tell stories through comics! It even goes over things like how draw literally allllll of the facial expressions to communicate emotion. I’d highly recommend it 💕

The points you made about how this project drawing is interesting :o I was similar in that I wanted to be an animator and be an established mangaka. As I was getting older I realized it wasn't as easy as I thought and the dream died down, however what has carried me is that I became a follower of Christ. So whatever work I do I don't mind on what it is because I'm pray to bring glory to Him in whatever way it is which has brought a lot of purpose since the Lord has a will and timing for all of us. I'm still gonna make a story obviously but I'm not as panicked about it I guess haha🤎 God bless you and your comic😼 love the art, gotta be my favorite new artstyle

I think I would kind of like it better if the working with music in the background videos and journal style discussions were broken up into separate videos. They are both good, but I sometimes Im more in the mood for one than the other.

I've been trying to start a webtoon for a while now but I've been having motivation issues with the amount of work needed to make one. I wanted to ask how you find your motivation to keep going and how to enjoy the process of making it

Hmmm, very good question 🤔 Honestly, I’ve been struggling a lot with motivation to get myself to sit down and work on my comic as well. It’s a *big* job to do and just thinking about all the work that has to go into it can feel overwhelming at times. I definitely haven't found the answer yet, but in terms of what I am doing right now to stay motivated, I am actually trying to think of things and approach things in a different way - Deep down, I know the motivation is there. That’s why I feel such a need to make this comic in the first place. Instead, I need to lower the amount of energy it takes to conquer the initial inertia I face when deciding whether to sit down and work on my comic and eventually gain momentum. To do this, I am working on building up a habit of working on my comic during the same time every day. Just a few minutes to start, and then gradually build up. If you haven’t already, I’d highly recommend you read “Atomic Habits”. Hopefully this helps a bit >_< Good luck!! And keep going ❤

So that works out to a canvas size of 5.26 x 7.76 inches (it gets rounded) at 350 dpi on Procreate! I hope that answers your question!

I don’t even normally like slice of life but your comic sounds really cool 🙂 I’d like to read it once you’re posting it on WebToon. Regarding a posting schedule, it’s probably useful to time how long it takes you to finish an episode so you can get a useful time range. (While working full time, 🫨 it may even be most realistic to commit to monthly updates) Your office is so soothing, it really makes me want to get my workspace in order because that would be a useful aspect to getting a lot of work done. (I don’t even have a proper writing desk right now. 😅🤣😁). Picking a designated color palette for your comic is a great idea, now that you mention it 🤔 I should do that for my comic too! I think it’ll really help set the mood too. I don’t mind your humming 🙂 I think it goes nicely with the music 🥰 And Yomi is so cute! 🥺😭🐶💝💕💕

This is so exciting!! I quit making my webcomic of four years a few weeks ago, and I’ve been feeling listless since. I want to start a new one with the lessons I’ve learned but my idea is so small and it’s just a work in progress. I look forward to reading your webcomic when it is published- I can relate to Hina in a lot of ways. I work in a financial institution and just have been wanting more lately. Hmmm… book recommendations… good question. I honestly find most of my “how to draw” resources online! But if I were to recommend any book, it’d have to be one about making comics! “Making Comics: Storytelling Secrets of Comics, Manga and Graphic Novels” by Scott McCloud ʕ•ᴥ•ʔ It’s been immensely helpful in helping me figure out how to effectively tell stories through comics! It even goes over things like how draw literally allllll of the facial expressions to communicate emotion. I’d highly recommend it 💕

The points you made about how this project drawing is interesting :o I was similar in that I wanted to be an animator and be an established mangaka. As I was getting older I realized it wasn't as easy as I thought and the dream died down, however what has carried me is that I became a follower of Christ. So whatever work I do I don't mind on what it is because I'm pray to bring glory to Him in whatever way it is which has brought a lot of purpose since the Lord has a will and timing for all of us. I'm still gonna make a story obviously but I'm not as panicked about it I guess haha🤎 God bless you and your comic😼 love the art, gotta be my favorite new artstyle

I think I would kind of like it better if the working with music in the background videos and journal style discussions were broken up into separate videos. They are both good, but I sometimes Im more in the mood for one than the other.

Just one note, there’s a noticeable difference in volume between your talking bits and your music ones, I have to raise it to hear you properly and then lower it cause then the music is a bit too loud 😅

I've been trying to start a webtoon for a while now but I've been having motivation issues with the amount of work needed to make one. I wanted to ask how you find your motivation to keep going and how to enjoy the process of making it

Hmmm, very good question 🤔 Honestly, I’ve been struggling a lot with motivation to get myself to sit down and work on my comic as well. It’s a *big* job to do and just thinking about all the work that has to go into it can feel overwhelming at times. I definitely haven't found the answer yet, but in terms of what I am doing right now to stay motivated, I am actually trying to think of things and approach things in a different way - Deep down, I know the motivation is there. That’s why I feel such a need to make this comic in the first place. Instead, I need to lower the amount of energy it takes to conquer the initial inertia I face when deciding whether to sit down and work on my comic and eventually gain momentum. To do this, I am working on building up a habit of working on my comic during the same time every day. Just a few minutes to start, and then gradually build up. If you haven’t already, I’d highly recommend you read “Atomic Habits”. Hopefully this helps a bit >_< Good luck!! And keep going ❤

I'm so happy you think my art is cute Ｏ(≧∇≦)Ｏ To answer your question, I use a standard American manga page size of 5 x 7.5 inches + a 0.125-inch bleed at 350 dpi. So that works out to a canvas size of 5.26 x 7.76 inches (it gets rounded) at 350 dpi on Procreate! I hope that answers your question!

I don’t even normally like slice of life but your comic sounds really cool 🙂 I’d like to read it once you’re posting it on WebToon. Regarding a posting schedule, it’s probably useful to time how long it takes you to finish an episode so you can get a useful time range. (While working full time, 🫨 it may even be most realistic to commit to monthly updates)
Your office is so soothing, it really makes me want to get my workspace in order because that would be a useful aspect to getting a lot of work done. (I don’t even have a proper writing desk right now. 😅🤣😁).
Picking a designated color palette for your comic is a great idea, now that you mention it 🤔 I should do that for my comic too! I think it’ll really help set the mood too.

I haven't really been able to figure out how long it takes me to illustrate pages since I've been so inconsistent with working on them x_x;; My next goal is to build a routine (a habit) of working on my comic at certain times of the day / certain days of the week and see how many pages I'm producing once I really get into the swing of things. I suspect (based on my previous pace from my last comic) that I will probably be able to comfortably make 2-3 pages a week. But we'll see! Ahaha, and thank you for your compliment about my office and my silly humming (*>ω
