  • It certainly is nice to be in Maine before the summer crowds get here, and being within an hour of Acadia has send us to the trails over and over again. Jordan Pond is a nice 3.5 mile loop, hugging the shoreline of the famous pond. Hike on wood planks through deep forest on this mostly level hike. Next we take the drive to Schoodic Point, on the East side of Acadia National Park (It's not even of MDI surprisingly!). The road dead ends to endless views of roaring waves along massive boulders on the shore. Lastly we tackle the Bee Hive Hike which is not for the faint of heart. Metal rungs, protruding from jagged rocks, serve as your ladders as you climb more than 500' straight up. We finish the video with a round of "Apres Hike" (that's a thing right?) at Geddy's Pub in Bar Harbor. This video will certainly inspire you to get out and hit those parks this Summer! Let's go hiking!
