Make a god of war 2 blade of olympus please i think it would look great
🤔
you may have fun trying a Lee Enfield no4 mk3, its timeless....literally, they still see service now 127 years later
Great video but what happened to the photos you were going to show
Re4 anyone????
And on this episode Odin just makes a straight up f*ckin gun
He makes it while staying calm
I just found out that this was the core of the m41A from Aliens!
That is true! Hmmmm.....
...really? I fail to see even the slightest resemblance beyond "both have a pistol grip"
@@Koushakur They took the stock off and then built up around it to disguise the actual weapon.
@@WilliamJakespeareProps I assume they used the WW2 army version with out the front pistol grip, with a straight magazine etc.
@@andrewgiglio oh absolutely, but they must have had to completely redesign the magazine itself.
hey Odin, thank you for all your contributions to this community. you're a gold standard.
One modification you could make would be to instead of gluing the drum into the gun, use Velcro instead. That way you could do the violin case thing too.
I was half expecting Odin to say "Say hello to my little friend" while he was holding the Tommy guns.
But that was a AR-15 Pattern Rifle with an M203
@@thefattertheratter45 Actually, the "little friend" is the 40mm grenade fired out of the M203.
As a suggestion I would say try trench weapons from world war I. There is a knife, a cleaver and a club and they use brass in the handles but if you Google them I'm sure you'll love the designs.
Where’s Odin 👁️👁️
Ragnarok must be coming
Just found your channel. Hope to see you get back into production soon.
Anyone know what happen to odin
For prop ideas, how about the chainsaw and boomstick from Evil Dead 2/Army of Darkness? The laser would let you make really nice detailed teeth for the saw blade without making you go crosseyed doing it by hand.
He's already done both of those
They look amazing as always, also love how excited you get when things work out better than you planned.
Loved this! The M1928A1 Thompson submachine gun is my favorite classic WW2 weapon!
The M1928 wasn't used in WW2. You're thinking of the M1A1.
@@geraltofrivia323 you’re right, my bad
@@geraltofrivia323I know this comment is old, however you're mistaken. The M1928 (A1) was indeed used in WW2, it was the predecessor to the later simplified M1A1.
The US Marine corps used the M1928A1 to great effect in the Pacific Theater. It often had a horisontal handguard instead of a vertical foregrip though.
Fabulous work.
Hail Odin!
Phenomenal build! And I always love it when you get excited during a build, just makes it that much more fun to watch!
Woah. This turned out incredible.
Amazing work Odin.
Hey Odin, great job. Would love to see more of these
Where are you? I miss seeing your videos and I can’t ever catch your streams 😭😭😭😭
Awesome video Odin! This came out fantastic!
Hey Odin. I love my sculpfun as well. The extension kit is really helpful with projects like this. Little extra space gives more flexibility with longer pieces like the old Thompson!
So glad to see a new video. Glad your back
Incredible as always xx
Great work Odin. Really Cool
I love watching all of your videos. It was nice to see the historic replication too. I want one to hang on my wall.
Wow they look incredible 🔝.
Awesome Odin, so much detail. For more historical props I suggest some cowboy weapon's. Maybe the Winchester rifle
I would buy one of them in a heartbeat!! Great job 🤘
This reminds me very much of the unlockable Chicago Typewriter, the infinite ammo machine gun, from Resident Evil 4.
Leon even has a mafia outfit to go with it in later versions!
10:18 I like that, if you look close enough, you can SEE the lines opening up. Well done, Odin!
Well...! That was just completely awesome. I started to make a Thompson a couple of years ago, doing it all by hand. Then I decided to do a couple of detail panels with our laser cutter. Then life happened and the project got abandoned in my closet. Think it's time to bring the parts back out and give it another go. Thanks for the boost and the confidence, Odin! You're my hero and I want to grow up to be just like you.
Awesome looking replica, would love to have something like that on a shelf.
That's soooo cool!!!! And yes I agree doing historical replica props would be awesome too
Awesome build! 😊
Thank you!
Your laugh was the best! The gun replica is incredible!!
truly amazing, terrific detail. now i want a laser cutter
Cracking build, and I have to say I’m pleased this wasn’t another live stream.
Great video as always Mr. Odin !!
Thank you!
Ok now we definitely need him to make the Draupnir Spear from GOWR.
looks amazing
Odin, youve done it yet again! Great prop
Thank you!
Saw him holding two of the guns with the third on the table and for a second I wondered what the rest of his Roronoa Zoro costume would look like if One Piece had been about gangsters and not pirates.
The military version of the 1928A was issued with the 30 round "stick magazine" and a rifle forestock instead of the foregrip. You could also use the "stick" or the drum for the either the military or civilian versions.
I heard you couldn't use the drum on the military version as it lacked the groove needed to accept it. This was deliberate. I heard that the drum would sometimes drop off!
Finally! Odin made my favourite gun!
I love your videos! You inspired me to make my own weapon props! Glad to see you back! This could also go for a Young Joseph Joestar cosplay
Happy new Year's
Nice!! They look really good! The light sliver added on looks especially nice and realistic. This was a cool project especially since you usually do movie and sci-fi and so something more realistic and historical was a surprise!
Man just made a friggin gun! I love it! Keep up the VERY GOOD work Odin!!!
Love your work sir keep it up.
Thank you!
The EM2 is a really interesting design that I think would translate well to a fun replica build!
Round drum magazines were clockwork--the winder cranked down on a 'clock spring' which pushed the cartridges in the outward spiral, similar to the linear spring in linear magazines. Extra-large winder handles were used with the aircraft machine guns where the gunners would be wearing insulated gloves.
Drums are inferior in that there is no way to reload using clips on the fly--you can't just push five bullets into the magazine like you could in an a Garand, so you needed to carry spare magazines into battle, and back out again.
Thise cane out Awesome
Miss watching your content Odin, haven’t watched in 5 months. I’m re watching you videos daily ❤ the content. Hope to see
More soon.😊
Very cool
Woah late sunday upload from Odin cool
Tommy gun one of my favs
Awesome
With Odins love for con safe huge swords, and with Halloween around the corner, maybe Pyramid Head's Great Knife from Silent Hill? Especially with the buzz around the remake of SH2?
AMAZING job it's the best prop gun video I've ever seen they were completely realistic and made me want to make a thomson too. other equally incredible historical weapons are the Luger and Mauser pistols...
Really retro in a cool way
Hes like a kid in a candy store with that laser cutter. I love seeing Odin genuinely excited and happy.
Make a series of these please Odin! Garand, M1 carbine, BAR... Anything would warm the cockles of our hearts brother!!!
if you want more historical builds, try make things like the AK-47, UZI, MAC-10, MG42, Luger P08, Mauser C96, Browning 50.cal, etc.
😲
AK and MAC-10 can be made at home with a parts kit and a 3d printer for usually a couple hundred. I eventually got bored making non-functional guns.
would love to see a Colt Single action Army. its a cool historic revolver and "Cowboy" six shooter. Love the way these Tommy guns look!
So *THIS* is the laser cutter you were talking about at Stockton Con! SO COOL. I want one really bad now!
I've been wanting to make a Tommy Gun for a while now. This will be incredibly helpful. Thank you!
Thank you!
Omg this would be AMAZING for mafia Leon’s cosplay so glad I came across your channel. SUBSCRIBED. ❤
Great build! I really enjoyed seeing you build a replica of a historical item. Please do more. Don't need to be weapons. You could do crowns or scientific instruments like a microscope. Best wishes from Germany
I need that laser cutter!!
Happy to cut whatever you need Ted!
Imagine getting pulled over and having one of these in your back seat
so cool o.o maybe I should try making one too^^
It’s really cool
Thank you!
@@OdinMakes You’re welcome it’s very impressive just like all your others
Love it.
What's really funny is that "Today I Found Out" did a video about the Thompson on the same day you did.
Excellent Work Greetings from COSTARICA 🇨🇷 I already want a Tommy.😎
You deserve more subscribers
Omg now I got that song in head...zoot suit riot lol
Nice shout out to Idaho
As always, you've done an amazing job recreating this iconic gun. I would love to see you craft/build some kind of a greatsword, greataxe or other cool looking weapon from the souls series (dark souls 1, 2 and 3, Demon's souls, Elden ring, Sekiro, Bloodborne).
Hey Odin, great job as always! It was so great hearing you're into historical props too, can you make the M1 steel helmet? It's so iconic, it's instantly recognizable, classic Americana, you do such a good job on helmets maybe you'd enjoy it.
These are a great costume item. So many things they can be used with from the shown StarTrek, Dick Tracy, Batman villains.
hey odin. really missed your weekly build videos.
More to come!
Fallout 4 Silver Shroud Silver machine-gun, I want to try making this prop. Great work Odin 👏
These things have been in Star Trek more than once. A Piece of the Action was the first time I know of, and I think they appeared a few times in The Next Generation with Picard's Dixon Hill holonovel programs, and in the film First Contact via the holodeck and another Dixon Hill program. I'm sure y'all remember the scene where he gunned down a pair of Borg Drones using a holodeck version. So this weapon has quite a history with Star Trek.
I've watched quite a few of your videos, this was by far the coolest thing you've made. Great Work!! I'd like to see you make a .50 caliber black powder rifle, like a Hawken, as seen in the 1972 film "Jeremiah Johnson" staring Robert Redford.
Rest In Peace Odin we loved ur videos!
I have to show this to my colleague at work.
He asked me to do a pattern for him, and then print it on to some A1-format paper.
He told me he was going to do it in solid wood, but after this, he just migth change his mind 😁
I just got done watching your iron man infinity gauntlet video
Also good video keep up the amazing work Odin
Good day or night to whoever read this
Hey Odin, for your next build how about a tribute to Jason David Frank from Power Rangers? Maybe the dragon dagger or the white ranger sword?
These guns are really awesome, I really enjoyed this historical project. As a suggestion, perhaps a vintage car grill, like an Auburn Speedster, or. Duesenberg, in foam but with chrome finish... Something that will go well with the Tommy gun on the wall!
Great vid! You shuld make a Luger next!!
THIS TOMMY GUN REPLICA BRINGS BACK YOUR CHILDHOOD MEMORIES, IT WAS SO NOSTALGIC! 😭😭😭
I love 1920s-1950s weapons. Loved the way these turned out. Maybe try your hand at an M1 Rifle or an M1918 BAR both are almost as Iconic
I love your Tommy guns, and I'm jealous.
You forgot the cut out on the cocking handle, (to see the sights). But spot on brother! soooooo good Odin!!
These came out so wonderfully! I would definitly love to see you take on more weapons from movies that based in reality, or even armor too! like Jokers Helmet from Full Metal jacket? Nevertheless great work Odin!
Try making a WWII M3 submachine gun, aka the "Grease Gun". Looks funky, but the shapes are probably easy to replicate with stuff you may already have lying around!
Hope one of your projects is making a box around the laser cutter (along with ventilations) so that youd' be more comfortable without mask/glasses each time its used..
Still it definitely looks liek a cool tool to have.
Honestly Odin has made so many videos that have inspired me to get into crafting yet over the years I never had the confidence to try, its not something completely new to me as a made a few minor things for stage shows in college. However all of that has changed recently with me going to cons and getting into cosplay at Sunnycon Newcastle in the UK back in 2019 and again in 2022. I have decided to stat planning and preparing to do my first 100% self made Cosplay and well I wanted it to be big and impressive something you never see and something I can put all my skills I've let sit for years to the test.
I have decided to use Odin`s Mechagodzilla, Hand of Doom AND VARIOUS led props as my inspiration to make a large wearable Machinedramon or Mugendramon cosplay from Digimon and a few attack FX props. Its probably going to take me a few years but I am 100% dedicated to making it work.
Odin if you end up reading this, I just want to say thank you for all the entertainment you provided us over the years and helping give people like me the inspiration and places to start doing stuff ourselves. I've wanted to support you for years but sadly my funding is awful and only just starting to pick up so maybe someday I will finally be able to do that. I wish I knew someone like you that could tutor or apprentice me to do this kind of thing. Keep at it you legend :D
Thank you so very much Wolf Imperial! People who get enthusiastic like you are inspiring to me, and I would love to see your progress as you get your cosplay created! Thank you so much for the post, and thank you for watching!
@@OdinMakes You're still alive!! That's good to know! LOL
@@OdinMakes could you do Takkars dagger and bow from Farcry Primal?
I love your videos so much and I think a good prop from history probably would make would be an M-16 assault rifle
From Adam Savage’s video on making a replica lightsaber, there is usually a bit of aliasing when looking at a picture of an object. This could render the final product longer than the real thing. With a real object like an M1928a1 Thompson there are accurate diagrams of weapon that you could pull measurements from.
Seeing this, all I can think of is that movie used in Home Alone, "Merry Christmas, you filthy animal."
Hey odin , you just said you should have found a 10 mm form ball for the pull knob.
It just made me think of the ball used by nerf rival and it is pretty cheap.
Can be a good idea for a next project.
