Yep I know I am a Boomer for saying but I miss 80’s and 90’s B-ball. My favs were the shorties Spud Webb and Mugsy Bogues. Me being in the White Men can’t jump category they were my heroes because they didn’t need elevation to ball in the NBA. Though as pointed out I watched Spud take the Slam Dunk contest and it was awesome. Not saying there are no awesome players but that was a special time honestly. MJ, Magic, Pippen, Bird, Thomas, Wilkins, Thomas, Kareem any night of the week a Legend was on the court.

The Utah Jazz drafted him in 1982 as the 3rd pick overall and they trade him to Atlanta for 1 million $$ 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️ because the team needed cash. So imagine the Jazz with Malone, Stockton and Wilkins? 7:55 For historical purposes, Dominique Wilkins preceded Vince Carter by about 10 years. Wilkins was known as "the human highlight reel." He was considered by most as the best dunker. Then Shawn Kemp came to the league and provided the same thrills. Kemp was 6'10 and acrobatic and it was debatable who was the best between those two. Now Vince Carter is like the evolution of Wilkins. He is the best in game dunker of all time. Kinda like Kyrie being the dude with the best handle of all time. In the Olympics Vince Carter literally leaped over a 7'1 French center named Fredric Weiss that got drafted by the Knicks. Carter had his crotch in Weiss's face. That dunk ended Weiss NBA career before it even started. Weiss never played a minute of NBA ball. Vince Carter was nicknamed after a Nas rap phrase from the song IT AINT HARD TO TELL. The nickname: "half man, half amazing".
