My wife and I have never been vaccinated, neither one of us has ever got Co-vid. I know a lot of people who got vaccinated and then went on to get Covid not just once but twice.
It wasn't uncommon during the Co-vid pandemic for people to be infected but show no symptoms, "A symptomatic". which could be the case for you and your wife. In our case my fully vaccinated wife , (Healthcare worker) contracted Co-vid and brought it home to me, (unjabbed) yet she ended up being far sicker than I was.
My sister and her in laws are vaccinated and boosters they all got it 3 and 4 times!!!??

But because their immune systems was doing it's job whenever they were exposed. Everyday all day we are exposed to foreign pathogens, without being infected. Just because people are exposed to a virus doesnt mean they will end up getting infected.
And the only 2 outcomes is being symptomatic or A symptomatic.
How about the fact that many people just didnt get Covid or infected because their immune systems wouldnt allow it? To some extent, I feel the terms exposure and infection by some people needs to be factored in the equation more. One can be exposed to a foreign pathogen without being infected.

The real tragedy is the fact that the initial massive fatality count was partially due to the extensive use of ventilators. That is an aspect of the Pandemic that needs to be addressed.

There are no absolutes here. That said, once the vaccines were available the overwhelming majority 75% of people who got sick enough to be admitted to the hospital were unvaccinated, of those who were admitted 1 in 50 needed ICU level care, of those who needed ICU level care 1 in over 100 was vaccinated - so you do the math, overwhelmingly the unvaccinated were sicker.

This woman seems to be an expert in moving the goalposts. Ultimately, she's got talking points, but the data were pretty clear at the time. They were not seeing 95% effectiveness against the original wild-type, the alpha, or the delta variants. Real world data from Europe and Israel were clear that the effectiveness was far lower than this. Of course, it varies widely from source to source but we saw numbers as low as 39% off the top of my head. She's trying to move the goalposts and say that wasn't seen until omicron (which has a very different spike protein), but that's false. Pfizer lied about the efficacy and FDA and CDC helped them do it. Yes, the numbers got worse with Omicron, but here's the catch about that. We've got new bivalent booster based on Omicron BA.4/5. If we're "trusting The Science(R)", we should be seeing that same 90%+ efficacy that the studies from Pfizer (the ones based on 8 mice) are claiming now that we've got the right antigen in our "safe and effective" new product. They're not even close in the real world data. And this is why time and time again, the only way to get access to these data which CDC and similar agencies around the world are supposed to be collecting and making publicly available is to take them to court and hope a judge forces them to release it...
