I’ve been playin’ and singin’ this song since the early ‘70’s. I used to play it for my kids (who are now in their 40’s) when they were little. A few weeks ago, my bluegrass band was doing a sound check and said, “play something so we can get the volume right”. Without thinking, I hit a G chord and went right into “Somebody robbed that Glendale Train…” Then the banjo player kicked in, the fiddle kicked in, the mandolin kicked in, the dobro kicked in, and I sang the whole song without missing a word. My first time in a couple of decades. So, we put it in our set list.
That was awesome. That fiddle player didn't let any grass grow under his feet.
Marmaduke tribute. John Dawson was a really nice person. Had the privilege to speak with him at dinner and backstage at NRPS shows in Philly and "hang out" LOL. Thanks for making this musica!

Great singing! Great picking! I just love that old timey feeling! I'd give y'all three thumbs up but that's not an option, so could only leave you the one thumb! Keep on singing and picking them guitars kids! Great performance!
i saw them in concert this past june. possibly my imagination, but it seems like ever since it’s been a revolving door on the string bass…. yes/no?
