I can only hope to one day reach the amount of movies Nick has viewed. His knowledge of film never fails to impress me
Still waiting for Nick's film course. I'm ready to sign up and soak in all his film knowledge
Same!!
Come on, Nick ... do a film course for us would-be cinephiles.
Do a preorder so you dont end up with lots of people saying theyll go to a class and then not show up.
Joseph's gotta watch Gladiator and you guys should do a retro review.
Glitter was bad…probably the worst thing to happen in September 2001…oh wait..
You have to see Gladiator because it was Oliver Reed’s last film, there’s a great performance by a pasty, degenerate Joaquin Phoenix and to hear Russell Crowe say dialog like “At my word, unleash Hell!!”
Yay! Excited to see All That Heaven Allows on the 5 star list! Her being gifted the television set for Christmas is one of my favourite movie moments of all time!
What a fun video. I've added some more movies to my "must see" list and I'm off to follow you both on Letterboxd now too.
This was fun. Liked this video a lot. Joseph you should do one too
man i would love to have a friend like nick, with that amount of knowledge in movies. Better watch out Joseph
One of the most enjoyable shows of all time! Nick and his fount of film is absolutely brilliant. I could have watched this all night. Being a huge Wood Allen fan since I was a teen (can anything be funnier than "Bananas"?), I loved seeing him pop up as your most watched Director. My all time favorite film(s) of his - "Hannah and Her Sisters"/"Crime and Misdemeanors". I can't wait to check out Nick's Letterboxd. Happy New Year, Joseph and Nick, and all the best in 2023!
I was looking at your favorite films list on letterboxd and saw "Margaret" on there. What a super underrated film and I haven't even seen the directors cut.
More of this, please! I could listen to Nick talk about movies for years
So far 2023 has been terrible for me. Went out with friends on news years eve, had a great time. Woke up new years day with the worst case of the flu I've had in years. 3 days in and still feel like shit. Been binging ur videos the last couple days and am grateful for the entertainment gentlemen. Hitchcock's notorious has one of the greatest final shots of any movie imo
Feel better!
Fun video, guys. You're quickly becoming my favorite movie critics on here. Would love to see you do a review on "Poetic Justice" & some of Janet's other movies.
I wanna see Joseph’s next! ;)
I was recently on a Nic Cage kick and Bringing Out The Dead and 8MM are almost forgotten now but were risqué when I caught them in the theatre. I need to get on LB. I'm constantly making lists for friends anyway. Kubrick, Ridley Scott, & John Carpenter make up my fave director trifecta. Sidney Lumet, Lars Von Trier, & Fritz Lang are close runners up. Great list. I'd love to nerd out w Nick over his selections which are some of mine too.
right as it ended i show up damnit thanks for the non-notification youtube
Love The Stepford Wives! Classic! Watched it recently.
Joseph! Watch Gladiator!
I think Nick has a second brain 🧠 just for movie info! Amazing 👏!
I can not believe Nick has watched that many movies !!
I love The Piano Teacher and I'm always looking for recommendations from people who like Haneke. My recs: Kim Ki-Duk, Sion Sono, Park Chan-wook (Stoker)
Joseph, your letterboxd posts are especially helpful considering you link the CZcams reviews in them. I’m usually on top of watching your videos but whenever I miss one I always run into it through letterboxd. Much appreciated!
Thanks for this. Fun! If Nick has time, it would be fun to see him log the older movies too at some point.
Stefon King
Nick ( the prize?!) makes Joseph watch a (particular) Movie *and* then, can even remember that he most probably don't remember it! Great chemistry - and that's not even the leads in your favorite picks we're talking about😁
I love your videos. You’ve teached me so many things about film and I really love that
It might be a good thing there isn't a parallel app to track the shows I watch..... 😬
There is! Sidereel, but it doesn't have a diary function. It just has a way to tick off every episode you have seen :)
This video is giving me... anytime Ru Paul is pop quizzed about music in an interview. ✔
Lol the room! Best bad movie ever. We are always dropping lines from it
Did you like Julianne in "Cookies Fortune"? Same Stephen King was my childhood everything...I would smuggle his books into church and hide it in the Hymnal [sorry mama 🤭] reading during service, lol.
Hi guys
Will you review kaleidoscope on Netflix?
The letter box avi looks soo good lol
You guys are so cute I wanna scream
Thanks!
Thank you!
This is so cool!
This is way cool… I never heard of letter box.
I just watched JOE with Nick Cage because of you and I loved it. What do you think of the movie ROPE by Alfred Hitchcock? It's a dark comedy with two Gay Homosexuals - like us. Cheers and Thanks.
I want the list! I want Nicks 5 * List. Where can I get it??? Gimme!!
Own Fantastic Planet.
Yes serial mom❤
Love All That Heaven Allows!
You guys Gold Derby people? I'm desperate for help? Can anyone help please?
......Is a 🔔a🍐!
Something I noticed when it comes to your PFP/intro design it doesn't match the personality you to give off with Nick who has the dismissive look on his drawn face and Joe who has the happy drawn face, it should be the opposite. But I do like the PFP so its not a complaint sort of.
Joe seems more the dismissive one and critic than Nick
When it comes to films that is
Silence of the lambs is not in your top 50 😑. And you don't know who sharon gless is? 😶. 💙
I can not believe Nick has watched that many movies !!
Thanks!
Thank you!
