    Unlike the others (dreyehealth et. al.), you're actually about educating the users and not pushing products. Thank you. Until yesterday I did not know anything about base curve or diameter. I didn't know that there could be a difference between contact lens and glasses prescriptions. You're doing a great job! Keep it up!

    can you do a video explaining all the different eye exams and what you're supposed to see on them? like when there's the green and red thing and they ask you which one is sharper? is the other one supposed to look sharper and if not, what does it mean if the other one looks sharper? or when they ask you how many shapes you see or do you see something, what are you supposed to see and what does it mean? i've always been curious if i got it right or what the "correct" answer is 😂

    Cool new animations you put a lot effort in those videos. Huge thumbs up from me! And my question for today is what are the symptoms of eye and contact lens material incompatibility?

    Man I wish we could do that in the states, like use multiple brands at the same time. We only get one brand prescribed iirc, unless you ask them to switch it after you pay for the other ones

    I want to ask what are the differences between soft contacts and hard contacts. I use ortho-k (hard lenses you wear at night) and want to know more about how they work.

    I use the air optics hydroglyde and let me tell you when my dr trialed me on the oasis one’s I think they were. I had such pain, I thought someone had put acid in my eyes. As soon as I stopped using them I was fine. I don’t understand the difference but for me it was horrible.

    Informative video, thanks.
    I’m curious about what the “ADD: Low”, “ADD: High”, etc, means?

    My new and first script at age 29
    For first pair of glasses and I’m confused when to wear them
    OD: SPH +0.5, CYL -0.5
    OS: SPH +0.5, CYL -0.75
    Doc says it’s a mild prescription and could help when driving at night. However I thought the + meant I am farsighted ? In that case wouldn’t I need them for reading?

    Antonio, maybe some of this parameters is the reason I was prescribed Bausch & Lomb Softlens Multifocal and my wife Alcon Air Optix Aqua Multifocalfor by the same Optometrist? What would be the difference you can think of?

    i got my eyes checked. I'm trying to figure the numbers out. MY OD is -.25 -.25 130 (S, C, Axis). And there is an add of +2.25. In this example I want a pair or driving glasses and reading glasses. For reading glasses...Do I just add the "add" to the "S"? ie. reading glasses would be +2.00 -.25 130 (S, C, Axis)? Thx

    I have Acuvue Oasys and I get them through Kaiser. On my sheet with the prescription, it doesn't say which eye is left and which eye is right. I ended up wearing them wrong for months until I had to order new ones. Still don't know which is which though

    • @ThatGirlJD
      @ThatGirlJD Před 2 lety

      Your prescription should say OD and OS somewhere on it. OD means right eye, OS means left eye. Match the prescription with the correct numbers on the lenses for each eye. Sometimes they also mark the boxes with a sticker that has an L or an R. If you still are confused call your optometrist and ask them which lens goes off which eye. It's actually common for people to mix up their contacts if they don't know or aren't paying attention.

    Hello Antonio, we are OD and we are currently in the UK, we would love to write the competency In optometry examination. If you can guide us step by step and with materials and areas to read and practice on, in other to pass the exam we will be grateful. If we can get your Instagram or email for correspondence it will be lovely.
