"Under The Red Cloud" is so fucking brilliant, their best album since "Tales From The Thousand Lakes" in my opinion. Every song an earworm. So many styles of metal in their albums, can't range it. But this melodies, this power, this unique voice. There are many fantastic bands, but no other sounds like Armorphis. The last album is so great, i torture regularly the replay button...

This is fuckin Amorphis. Their old shit is great, their new shit is good. But here , in the middle, this is the best. When Tomi was relatively new and had something to prove, you could feel it in his lyrics. Or maybe ive just had too much to drink.... i know i love this album though.

I became a listener with the Karelian Isthmus and a fan with Tales of the Thousand Lakes. Have they ever released a track in their native Finnish? I think it would sound awesome with all the alliterations in the Kalevala.

Enigmalake It was a darker sound but the kick drum was pretty weak on that album.
Al Thor Yeah, reminds me of Skyforger in its warmth. Didn't like Circle's sound at all.
+Al Thor Have the same impression. Circle was produced too loud/too much comperssion. Melodies are ok, but sound tires your ears after already 2-3 tracks. Sacrifice is rich and clear, really good and super songs in my opinion.
You know time flies by when you have been the fan of a band for more than 20 years. Great song.

OMFG! Tomi cut off his dreads! Holy shit! The sound of the entire album is truely amazing, makes me sing and dance and mosh along. Yesterday evening I stood growling in the kitchen whilst doing the dishes ;-) It's truely a masters work - but you can allmost expect that from our finnish friends.
But - BLOODY HELL! - Tomi cut off his amazing dreads! It took me some time to realize what's so damn wrong with his appearance and then it hit me like a freight train.
Thank god his voice is still as mighty and powerfull as the forces of nature!
Guys, I promise I'll drag my ass to whatever location you choose for your next gig near Frankfurt / Main / Germany and then we'll mosh it to the ground!

I only just discovered this band, and I love them! I've gone back and listened to quite a few songs, and have yet to find one that I genuinely did not like. this is a great video, and whoever did the sound engineering should get a high five.

marts99, haha, no, I'm not slacking that much. But there are plenty of reasons. First is - that's my side job that gets me no money and I gotta prioritize stuff - my main job wants lot of attention and creativity so sometimes I just don't have enough time. Second reason is that I get about 5 new promos a day and often I lose track of what I have and what I don't. And the third reason is that I have other people in the zine, working on these promos and someone might have reviewed it already or something. In this case, I completely forgot about this one and the video reminded me. Also, Nuclear Blast are assholes to journalists and assholes to the bands, so I avoid reviewing NB stuff.
