- A judge ordered former US Gymnastics doctor Larry Nassar to the witness stand so his victims could look at him right in the face as they delivered their impact statements. “I speak to let the world know you are a repulsive liar,” said a young woman accusing him of abuse. One by one they shared their stories. Nassar is facing 40 years behind bars after pleading guilty to sexual molestation charges. 1:29 Even though her father committed suicide. I can't believe her parents failed her by not believing her that she was molested. They prioritized believing a "friend"(Larry)than their own daughter. When a child says she was violated, that's already a major red flag. No child would ever make stuff up like that.

@@realcritical-kr2dd Enjoyed it? I didn't think any of the victims would "enjoy" such behaviour. The victims (and many, many more victims who experience sexual abuse) perhaps didn't tell their parents because of fearing that they might not believe them, and not waiting for cash.
Even if they would make up stuff like that, it's something to be dealt with. There'd be probably a serious reason for that.

They were afraid to speak up against the institutional mismanagement of stuffs responsible for harassment as well as the doctor nassar. The big post holders never bothered to take care of victims. Chromophobia yea I’m surprised that parents like that don’t pick up on signs or behavioural changes or anything!!! It’s so important to actually listen to our children and even if it seems like to us that it’s not the truth, we as parents should dig deeper to find out what is really going on or what the truth is. Why take the risk and disregard it completely??
I have a 5 almost 6 year old little girl. If she ever said something like this happened to her with ANYONE. I would beat the life out of the person. I can’t imagine being dismissive of an accusation like that when it concerns a child.
Some parents can't mentally handle or digest it. It's common in ALL people. It's like someone who's never been shot going about life like it could never happen to them. You don't mentally plan that ANYTHING can happen to you until it does.

I always wondered why these gymnasts looked so unhappy, stressed, and serious during the olympics. Thought it was just the stress of competition, now we know the real reason. Really sad.

He diddled over 300 boys and girls and most of their parents ignored them because they wanted to win the gold medal. This is all known information at this point.

I’m sorry please don’t roast me but I’ve just stumbled upon this case, I’m confused as to how these girls kept going back to him for 6 years? That’s fishy to me...I feel like after one negative sexual encounter you wouldn’t go back to that doctor?? Am I wrong?
Either the parents didn’t believe or they didn’t care. But many of the girls were very young(9-14) so they didn’t know that it was bad at the time. But the girls who spoke about it were silenced because Larry was a doctor for a while so he was well respected. Some of the girls before said they loved and trusted him more than their parents. They said that he would bring them food if they were on harsh diets and he would encourage them to go to the Olympics. So many of them saw him as a father figure so they trusted him with anything.
uhh.. because they're children and have no idea what's going on, and probably don't have language to describe it or know how to bring it up

he molested over 500 girls by fondling them, putting his fingers in their genitals, etc. he also had over 37,000 images of child pornography. a straight-up despicable pervert.
