There is the U.S.‘s criminal code and also legal precedent that the judge has to consider and abide by. If the criminal code in the US is similar to Canada’s then it specifies maximum jail sentences for most serious crimes. E.g. in Canada the maximum prison sentence for a hit-and-run is ~5 years. If the judge wasn’t bound by legal precedent and the criminal code’s limits on sentencing then she definitely would have given him life without parole. But to a guy that old, 22 years is more than the rest of his life so the outcome is good in the end

Unfortunately some people misuse their free agency to hurt others in their bad choices of selfishness, to satisfy only themselves and their own lusts, at the expense of a child's life and intrinsic right to innocence.
A perverted pedophile is narcissistic, they think of no one but themselves and their own twisted lusts. They do not care who they hurt. They have no compassion or empathy for anyone else. Their souls are dark, evil, totally vile, twisted and deformed. They are parasites. The Lord will have His vengeance upon them.

You also must take into account that the sentencing has to be rational. This POS in the video is 70. In 11 years he’ll be 81, and frail. One wrong look could end his life. Moreover, she had the other charge from the 6 yo. He will be in his late 90s by the time his sentence is up. She gave him life in prison for that. And that's why I personally support the death penalty. Life in prison is something I think many criminals could live with. Charles Manson seemed to get by well, he even got fans and groupies. He was famous and enjoyed it while in prison. There is nothing more terrifying in my mind than knowing when you are going to die. A life is still a life even if it's in prison. He wouldn't mind a lifetime of 3 meals a day, hot showers and healthcare provided by and paid by our tax dollars.
But imagine this man realizing he will be executed in a year? I know that's not how it exactly works, but the sentencing should be swift as possible imo. But the fear of having your life cut short? You'll die anyways, but having your life cut short is a different story. This man would be shaking in court. All the regret will start pouring out. And potential child rapist would see this and will now have to weigh their options down to committing another crime against a child or death. I bet that if child rapist were given the death penalty many rapes would be deterred, in fact many heinous crimes would be deterred. Life in prison doesn't phase to sick people, nor spending a few decades.

I was blamed for the assault. Told I was leading him on and most of the family wanted nothing to do with the situation. No one would report it(my Aunt wanted to, but she didn’t see it and she was voted down) she knew nothing of the outcry.
The germ who molested me: “dear ol stepdad” biological mother took his side; blamed me and swore she’d never forgive me for what I did to them.
My Aunt raised me; she was the only one who protected me.

@Multorum Unum I’ve seen it many times before. It is common and not seen as unprofessional in the slightest. Judges making statements in cases before issuing a sentence is pretty normal. It’s usually their reasoning for the sentence they are giving out.

@Multorum Unum yo, if you believe there is another valid opinion than ''DON'T ABUSE AND/OR GROOM CHILDREN'' let me tell you... you're WAY worse than ''unprofessional''.

Man ruin 2 children’s lives. 22 years is not enough. People that do this to anyone, especially children, should forfeit their life for what they’ve done.

i wish it was so small jist because it’s old but there’s 20-40 year olds that get only like 5-20 years for raping kids and teens. it’s so fucked that there’s people who actually get out of it alive.

ZackZack2002 they get partial karma in prison tho for real on the yard you immediately hear “lemme see your papers” and he’s done for OR he’s gonna be locked up in a special unit to protect him from being killed by the other inmates. It makes me so happy the murderers don’t tolerate child rape.

@@PVNCHES101 Which is why the prison guards separate them from the general population. They put them together with those who have acted as informants.
Let's stop relying on the scum of our society to handle these things and just handle it. No parole, no prison. Just a 9mm to the back of the skull... and tell them to be happy they're not being left alone in a room with the friends and family of the victim.
