If Pavarotti owns 'Nessun Dorma' (by men) ... then Amira at 13 in 2017, might lay claim to the female version (purest's be damned). Stunning rendition. Worth a look.

I believe Amira was 9 years old at the time of her HGT audition. Amira was indeed self trained up to that time. Even her very musically talented mother and father were unable to be of much assistance. Amira was gifted by God with her once in a lifetime voice. Along with hard work, determination and dedication Amira has become the best soprano in my lifetime.

She decided on July 12, 2020 to do a tribute. Now keep in mind last concert at the time was Christmas 2019. Then Covid hit. No professional recording equipment. She learned the song SI, recorded by cell phone, did a video, edited it, and posted it. All this in 15 hours according to her mother, because then needed to do her homework. You wonder how opera singers do it. Well, they need "talent" in the sense that they should have good potential in their voice. But mainly they learn to sing professionally for several years. That means, first of all, not to sing from the throat, but from the diaphragm and to switch to the head bell in high pitches. Actually, anyone can learn it. Only when you sing professionally, you have full control over your voice and know how to express every passion of the soul in singing. Sadly, most singers in pop music can't sing at all. They often sound ugly without hearing it themselves. They don't get the idea that the voice is a wonderful instrument that you have to learn to play and on which you have to practice daily and intensively, as well as, for example, a keyboarder (like myself) has to practice daily and play professionally when I perform in public in my band. Being an artist means giving everything. Perfection is just good enough. If you stand on a public stage and make music without having learned your instrument with all you have, you make a fool of yourself and you are a pitiful figure.
I totally agree with you.Over the years I have listened to other experienced and well established singers,but none come close to Amira's stage presence,poise,dignity and grace.She is always so relaxed and at ease, her scintillating natural smile, simply steals my heart away.I am totally addicted to Amira,also I find it difficult to listen to other singers,more or less in Amira's age group.What is it this dear God given young woman has that she has enchanted millions of people around the world?
