Doing the music for this is very challenging, yet very fun: Taking what is already there and adding more of the "Copeland" spice to let the soundtrack feel closer to the original trilogy. None of our new music for the mod is featured yet, but we do have quite a few tracks completed! Thanks for all the love from this pleasant, purple community!

Was really disappointed to see how many people dislike this game. I have a really soft spot for ETD as it was my first Spyro game being a child. I wasn't that able to recognize bugs or lack of scenario and was just living the game as it was, I really hold it in my heart dearly. I hope they'll release the remaster someday!

I understand why people dislike it but I didn't care when I was a kid I just liked playing it and honestly I got goosebumps seeing those areas remastered
Aww, that's cute. ^^; I feel the same way about Mega Man 8 including the acting to be honest because I got that game when I was freaking 5 and it was one of the first games I ever played, ha ha. XD I was just confused at why Mega Man and even Bomberman in Hero sound a little TOO childish/girly. :p
Like, I think Brianne Siddall and Mona Marshal, I think that was their names, were both ladies who did old 90's/00's anime characters if their not still active like Tsukasa from .Hack//Sign and Kite also from .Hack, and I think a lot of other characters with their recognizable voices like Jun from Rozen Maiden, and well... they actually still sound like boys somehow. :? Heck, I think Laharl from Disgaea is from a girl. :p But Mega Man and Bomberman... with Bomberman's white and pink too, I almost thought he was a girl. ^^;

I can’t accurately express how much I want the completed version of this remaster. I was one of the few people who managed to enjoy Enter the Dragonfly despite its myriad flaws. To have it be what is should have been all along would be incredible!
This! I don’t love ETD, but I thought it could’ve been done better and could’ve been a great game (which is why I’m hoping for a Spyro 4 and for them to try the same ideas again, but done better)
This would’ve been great DLC for Reignited, I would’ve paid for it, especially if it was actually finished. It just makes me wonder if this is a mod for Reignited or if it’s a retextured mod for the original game?

The original trilogy was my intro. While it didn't live up to those games, it was still fun. More than anything I'm saddened this was the last traditional Spyro and the behind-the-scenes nonsense kept it from reaching it's full potential. But it doesn't deserve hate. I know you posted this like a year ago, but don't take everyone's hate to heart. It was a fun game despite some flaws

Originally was going to have 25 plus levels, dynamic weather in said levels, 120 dragonflies to rescue, 60 frames per second, ember potentially in the game, and a potential gnasty gnorc and ripto team up... Check point 6 and exquinox e knew what they were doing, universal just had to screw it up
Gnasty Gnorc and Ripto plus the dragonflies were actually Universals plans they forced Check Six to change it after there initial plans were to create a darker Spyro game where he was a teenager flying beside ember. The main antagonist was going to be an evil dragon who stole all of the dragon's magic so Spyro had to collect the dragon essence from 36 different levels with dynamic weather and hub worpds with changing seasons etc
This remaster-in-progress looks AMAZING and fun! "Enter the Dragonfly" was my introduction to Spyro when I was small, and I remember enjoying it despite its flaws. I'd love to see the remaster give this game a second chance!
same.. and as a kid i didnt even have a sense of what was "good" and "bad" for games so i will always have numerous memories of traversing those worlds

ETD is still my fav Spyro game all these years later. The farmers whose cows keep getting abducted by aliens is still one of my favs, as well as the pigs on vacation and the monkey monks!! Love this so much
Same here! Spyro Enter the Dragonfly will forever be the true Spyro 4 for me. Too bad it was rushed because of Universal's unreasonable demands, but what we ended up getting is still great besides the bugs, especially on GameCube where they did a bunch of optimizations and cool fixes.
Genuinely almost started crying, ETD has such a special place in my heart. It was my first spyro game and remains to be my favourite. I wish we hadn’t gotten rid of our PS2. 🙁

I would love a well done remake/remaster for Enter The Dragonfly so bad, I love this game so much with it's amazing OST and despite all of it's flaws I enjoyed it so much growing up and shout out to all the people that worked on the Enter The Dragonfly fan remake, here's to hoping we get a public release

Spyro Enter The Dragonfly is basically Sonic 06 of the Spyro franchise.

I literally, LITERALLY LOVED this game. I remember I got it, loved it but some parts were difficult and I never could finish the game because there was a bugged dragonfly that I couldn’t find to progress through the game so I was just stuck hearing it somewhere.
Watching this and listening to the Music is making me tear up. I would 100% but this if they remastered it without question.

I’m definitely going to play it when the mod goes live. Enter the dragonfly may have been a very wonky game, but as a kid I still liked the charm of it when you get pass the brokenness of the game especially that drumming mini game. So to see it remade into something more visually pleasing and functional has me more than hyped for its release.

That one felt like Ratchet and Clank for some reason.
That one was okay.
But ETDF was awful from start to finish.
No one should waste their time giving us that game again with slightly better graphics.

I was one of the group that enjoyed Enter the Dragonfly. I've never really been bothered by bad graphics or glitches, so long as it wasn't game breaking, though the voice acting in a lot of the original game gave me a few issues. I always just felt that the game had been over simplified for the younger generation who may be new to the series with the PS2. Seeing this fanmade remaster, I am super excited to give it a try when it gets released. I'm just a little wary about the voice acting. As it's a fan creation, I don't know which path they will take, but I hope they will update it too.
Aw, well that's super nice of those fans! It looks amazing! Maybe they could even fix a lot of its problems and turn it into an actual good game 🤞

Just thought the same thing too! Would love for that to happen. It takes time and effort and it’s not paying them anything, but it would be great. Could also go onto their resumes as developers and get them a spot at TFB or Beenox someday, too, if they aren’t already working as developers somewhere
This just shows that if Activision really cared, they could have already done this.
Having worked on the original three Spyro games, it was hard enough to leave Spyro behind (when Insomniac broke ties with Universal), but it was beyond painful to see the disaster that was Enter the Dragonfly. At the time I feared it would be the end of the franchise.
Seeing this warms my heart. Knowing just how much work, and work from the heart, this is!

As someone who *adores* Enter The Dragonfly, this is what I hoped for. I really didn't expect it to get a real remaster, but I really hoped that people would use the trilogy to mod a remaster of Enter The Dragonfly. I am SO excited for this!!!
If toys for Bob actually remade this game I would play this game in a heart beat. Enter the dragonfly wasn’t all that bad in my opinion. But I don’t think it followed the story after year of the dragon.
What I like about this:
-Faithful
-Baskets and Vases are in the right places
-Music
-CCC Big Riptocs are a good start
-Spaaaaaace Cows.
What needs work:
-Bottles in the Luau Island area of hub
-Breaths
-Dragonflies
-Level gating
-NPCs. Period.
Enter the Dragonfly was one of the 1st games I ever got myself as a kid so knowing there are others out there who enjoyed it as much as I did and are willing to remake it is amazing! I do hope they change the statue to be closer to the original though since it was always fun watching a crystal figure move around and bow its head 💖
I picked this game up back when gamestop was selling used ps2 games, and I actually was very excited to play it but I'm very excited to see it remade. It looks amazing!

This would be a great DLC campaign for reignited since its so short which was my only major issue with the game and some of these levels I'd like to see recycled and tried again in say spyro 4 5 6 or what have hell it'd be funny seeing agent 9 trying to mellow out as a monk at the monkey monastery and the platform mazes highlight the platforming aspects of spyro perfectly and what I really liked this game was because it brought back the sense of adventure back to the series that was lost in spyro 3 do to the glorified Easter egg hunt and overload of minigames
I agree that the platform mini games were decent and added the sense of adventure back, also mixing those mini games with Spyro 2 in level tasks plus a few roaming dragonflies gave us a nice balance and means that the core Spyro gameplay has more going for it. My main problem with YOTD was that the levels didn't feel as open in terms of exploration as the first 2 games and it made it more of a chore to play because there were constant distractions to the core Spyro gameplay which is the best bit of the game
It is fantastic to see that people/ fans are making a remake of spyro the Dragonfly. Although I can remember when I played this game as a kid. It felt off to play it. The story in it's whole was a chaos on its own. After all Even by now don't truly mind that part as I loved to go through the game. Exploring around and well find the dragonflies back. I love to see that the those fans are remaking this game. Because even that the game was a bit off to play. I loved the game in its self and it is after all a part of the spyro games. I would love to see how it progress over the time. And hopefully we all can play the game eventually. I am trilled to see how it will turn out

As a kid who couldn't buy games often due inflated prices in Brazil, getting my hands on Enter the Dragonfly made me love the game so much. Seeing those gameplay sessions just reignited (no pun intended) my love for this. So many memories. This is just heartwarming and I am glad there are people out there with the passion to create and improve upon what made part of our childhoods. Hopefully something like this happens to the Sly triology? THere's hope!

This remaster is done by a group of talented fans. I actually want to see how this turns out, and I'm interested to play it.
The line from CGE, which I quoted in my original comment, was in relation to how CGE and myself are in agreement as to not wanting an OFFICIAL remake, from either Toys for Bob or Beenox.
enter the dragonfly is the only spyro game ive played, and only when i was little, so it has a place in my heart, although all i remember about it is that i could never get to some level with clouds and sleepy guards
Mate if you never showed me those gameplay clips without saying anything, I would've 100% thought it was a full on enterprise creation, not just a fan-made creation, it looks unbelievably good!!
My GOD this looks absolutely GORGEOUS. I love seeing these levels in Reignited's style! They look so vibrant and wonderful! When they get to the level in the clouds with the sleepy bears (my absolute favorite from ETD), I think I might cry
Ho ly f*ck this is SO well done. It's almost exactly how I would picture it to be if it was remade to be the game it was supposed to be.
I too have a soft spot for this game, as it's one of the first video games I ever played. Watching thenisklelp play this game didn't phase me one bit, despite all the obvious issues it suffered. And I know it'll probably never come to pass, but I hope someday it'll be remade to where all the ideas and concepts were implemented, such as the original storyline of ripto teaming up with Gnasty.
But ya overall this is phenomenal, it looks pretty much as good as if toys for bob actually did make it. Kudos to the modders!
I’ve been going through all 5 mainline Spyro games, including enter the dragonfly, and I’ve just finished it earlier today and I can see the improvements, this actually looks like a game I’d want to play
This is ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC! In spite of the overall bugginess, Crop Circles still holds a lot of nostalgia for me! ^_^
If a remake does happen, it def won't have the original devs on board. Because if anyone has seen that fantastic two hour doc by Mr FO1 you'll learn just how much pain and darkness is surrounded around ETD. It's wild and it makes me feel bad when people ( justifiably) dunk on the game and blame the entire team when it's really the fault of three people as to why ETD came out awful. The making of the original was so traumatizing to some that they didn't even want to be interviewed about it when contacted.
Enter the Dragonfly is clearly a case of something that was done dirty by not having enough time in development, not something fundamentally unsalvageable.
The retail Enter the Dragonfly we got was a dumpster fire, but if it had gotten even another year in the dragon egg, it might have turned out a very different game.
The work the fans put into remastering Enter the Dragonfly is breathtaking. This should get picked up like a Sonic Mania.
These fan levels feel more faithful to the original levels than the official stages do in the Reignited Trilogy.

I definitely think there is a decent game hidden behind those bugs and glitches. Like someone else has stated, if it was given the love and care it needed, it would have been an all around good spyro game. I will hope that this project wil succeed and that fans will be able to play it finally. Best of luck to the developers and everyone else involved in the project!
This makes my heart so happy. This was the only Spyro game I had access to as a kid, and I remember having so much fun with it. I especially can't wait to see more of Thieves Den, Honey Marsh, and Luau Island, especially my favorite minigame with the tikis 😊

Toys for Bob should remaster Enter the Dragonfly, A Hero's Tail and Shadow Legacy all three in one package as a sequel to Reignited Trilogy.
I remember playing the game on the Gamecube and I did not see any issues back then. I was lucky to have the Gamecube version as it fixed so many things compared to the buggy PS2 version.
Enter the Dragonfly was one of my first and favourite Spyro games when I was younger, I’m really loving how this mod is turning out and I’m so amazed and proud of the fans behind it.
Someone should hire the devs behind this mod to make ETD the game it was supposed to be. I’ve read about the development of the original game and oh boy, it’s a miracle they could deliver even what little they did.

The Reignition Trilogy is amazing
They would have to take a lot of enemies, reshape them, re-animate them, and handle things like dragons, voice effects, cutscenes etc. Of the game I remember only the first level in the dojo with big dinosaurs with sticks and frozen dragons that opened the doors.
Honestly, if this was a full and completed game unlike the original then I would definitely play it, I played ETD when I was a kid, I remember seeing the adds for it and I was excited for it as I have always been a huge spyro fan, I mean me being a kid I didn't really understand what good and bad games were so I never really fully understood that ETD was a unfinished and buggy game I just thought that's how most games were like back then being that we didn't have what we have today (that made me sound older than I actually am) BUT now looking back and replaying the game now... just wow, it'll be too long for me to get into, but this looks so much better so I am definitely up for playing it if it was in console, I guess that's what happen when you don't play a on PC

Talk about ETD has been a storm since it was released, but still I find it wholesome how there are people who love the game despite it's state, that shows how much they show when they like something even if many don't.
I will admit, I am one of those people who wishes Enter The Dragonfly could have been Reignited DLC, so seeing this as the closest possible thing since no doubt, the real Spyro 4 is in development, is amazing, it's like seeing Wrath of Cortex levels being redone in N.Sane's engine and seeing that despite how bad the originals came out, the fan remakes do them that right they were missing.

this game was goated probs one of the best I've played in the spyro franchise , the ost , color contrast and feel to the game felt smooth also the water and gems/emeralds was satisfying to look at
Spyro enter the dragonfly was the first game I ever got on the GameCube I didn’t beat I kept starting over from the beginning I wasn’t sure about the save file in my memory card so I miss playing it so much I had for many years. After seeing Canadian Guy Eh about another Spyro remake I’m so excited 😆 great video dude I really like it.

My problem with EtD isn't that it's bad, it's that You can't really pass judgement on what was never finished, which is what the game very clearly is; *Unfinished,* It was forced out in the state that it was because the Dev team simply wasn't given enough time to make it, with all due respect to the guys working on this game, you guys should call it was it is! Finishing something that was started a LONG time ago, EtD - Finished Edition.

We need Reignited Trilogy 2. With Enter the Dragon Fly, Hero's Tail and Shadow Legacy.
Shadow Legacy would be hard though, it was a top-down game from the Nintendo DS, along with an RPG game-play. Plus, there was no voice acting. So if this gets remade into a platform someone is gonna have to get Tom Kenny on board.

I'm interested. When enter the dragonfly first came out, I was a huge spyro fan, What really got me was the different breath abilities, and the return of Ripto. The levels were ok, but there were less levels than in the first three games. And I hated that long loading screen and the portals in the worlds such as the speedways being in the worlds instead of separate like in the original three games. Not to mention the bubble breath ability not always working right and only being used for catching dragonflies.
I always thought they should have remade Enter the Dragonfly as a DLC to Spyro 3 reignited, I think fans would have loved it if it was given the same treatment

I loved ETD too with the exception of Honey Marsh tank minigame (it has an invisible wall in the honey river that blocks shots when shooting the bees) and the automating head smash that killed me a lot while doing the normal jump/glide combo on edges. I really love what they're doing for the game and hope that maybe the scrapped level ideas could be made... I would like the opening scene to have everyone walk around or doing something while getting ready to celebrate; since Gnasty and Ripto were gonna team up in this game they could just weaken all the dragons, leaving Spyro more vulnerable and then teleport all the dragonflies as an added measure both knowing or at least noticing that Sparx takes the hit for Spyro.
How can you get this download? and how will I know when it's out?. Just hope it can go on the switch.

Glory to the modders. Still not interested in playing ETDF unless the entire game was changed. The story, the level design (far too open for starters) and gameplay loop choice all give me childhood ptsd flashbacks.
I love this game, always have and always will. I'm sad that I won't get remastered because it's the game that got me into dragons and developed a love for Spyro. Really wish that would remaster it for those who do love it
