Until I watched this video, I always forgot beatboxing while doing latte art and kept painting hearts that looked like butts, but now I can easily stack four tulips into five unicorns. Thanks, Lance!
Haha! It's the secret sauce
Nice tutorial as always. Hoping we get a video in the future along the lines of "10 common latte art designs in under 10 minutes" keep up the great work!
Oh nice! Writing vids for me
@@LanceHedrick+1 for this guys ideas on latte art design tutorial for a bunch of different designs, or maybe short form content with standalone video for each design technique. Your videos definitely got me jumped started with starting to pour ok looking latte art. Honestly the biggest help was the milk steaming tutorial. One of these days I’ll watch your longer video, I just never find the time in the morning, and I usually don’t make coffee later in the day when I’d have time to watch
Watched this two years ago. Still can't do it😂
Hahaha wow
These shorter videos are amazing. They are like a little reminder to me. I am wachting many videos about coffee and latte art. This one really explains how to start with practicing latte art.
Love these short videos. I have no problem with the long form and prefer to learn all I can, but having these shorter versions after are like the cram session that drives the main points home for me. 🧠
For sure! Thats how I'm intending them to be. Thanks for the support!
Love your energy and enthusiasm! It's great to watch your tutorials, because compared to other tutorials you accomplish to verbalize what's happening. Keep up the awesome work!
Thank you so much!
Lance, i truly love your energy and the goofy “silky milky” lmao you’ve encouraged me to really invest myself in coffee chemistry AND milk art so much that i’ve been able to share your videos and influence to inspire Starbucks partners! I know, “Starbies”, BUT through this journey i’ve grown to become a certified coffee master, join the SCA, and move up to become a barista at the Reserve and Roastery in Chicago (i moved from LA). Your videos inspire, motivate, and bring so many people joy, Thank you!
I love this short videos - I think the mix of both styles. College class and short tutorial is great
You deserve so many more views and subscribers I got my first espresso machine for Christmas and I’ve been taking notes some people take espresso a little too serious and with your videos I can laugh a little this all should be FUN anyways love your work
That is awesome! Congrats on your first machine! Thank you for watching.
Lance. you really have a great way of explaining that makes it easy to understand. ive been struggling with this for a while but everything clicked when i saw it. im going to try this today
Short form is great! Would also love to see your preferred method for practice without milk and/or espresso (i.e. soap and water with food coloring espresso, milk with espresso grounds, or whatever, to mimic crema and give contrast)
Will work on something asap!
Literally watching this on my break at my fifth shift ever as a barista, you’re a god damn legend! Merry Christmas my guy
Hell yeah! I love hearing that. Cheers!
Lance is such an amazing and natural teacher. Wish I could channel his skills in my professional life.
I think he just likes to do it, and that’s the most important part. Enthusiasm and the ability to fundamentalize complex concepts, seeing things from the most basic perspectives
This is the latte art video that finally gave me success! I've passed this video on to anyone that asks about latte art.
Excellent video again. I watched all the previous videos you suggestion before, but now this helps fine tune things in and I can spot my mistakes easy now.
Perfect! That is the short form intention. Thanks for watching!
I love your channel! Got the same machine. You are awesome! Keep on!
Nice and short. Love it. Keep it up
Can’t wait to try this method cheers
Love your videos dude, thank you 💙
Great video. Thank you Lance!
Beast mode Lance! Digging your content bruv. 💥
Thanks for all you do my man!
You make it look so easy. Love your vids, keep them coming.
Thank you so much Adam! I will do my best
@@LanceHedrick I just made my first heart after watching this video! You really helped me understand what it was that I am doing. Thanks again.
Heck yeah! That is awesome news. Thanks for sharing!
Not everyone can teach. Lance knows how to teach. He does it correctly. So we can understand it. And that’s two 👍👍thumps up!
Now I get why my milk wasn't good. I had always forgotten the beatboxing. Thanks Lance, you are a lifesaver.
Excellent tutorial. Thank you.
Appreciate it! Thanks
Very nice tutorial, thank you !
Thanks for the video!
Amazing this video help me a lot lance thank you
Great! Love it. Thank you.
Love all your videos!! And the sweater is very sweet! 😎
Thank you so much!
For a moment I was afraid that there wouldn't be any impromptu beatboxing, so glad you never disappoint
Hahaha! Couldn't disappoint you!
Beautiful cup!
That was awesome!!
Just thanks! I’ve learn the basics from you.
Thank you for commenting! Stoked they've helped

Thank you! Means a lot
I loved the addition of beat boxing you threw in there!! Very cheeky haha but so catchy!
Haha! Thank you!
Great teacher!

Thank you so much! Means a lot, friend!
you make it look so easy
Haha lance I love your energy. This makes me more motivated to practice latte art!!!
Thank you! I have a lot of people who don't like my energy, so it is in a breath of fresh air to read your comment.
@@LanceHedrick they clearly don’t know what theyre talking about :D through your videos I was able to make my first proper monk’s head after a week of not being able to form anything! (Im very new to this world). Please continue to do these videos, theyre helping so many people. All the best from Hong Kong!
Thank you so much!
Thank you loved your first video very educational and this one is just as amazing. Refresher course. I'm a Bigginner learner and love the way you explain things. Wish me luck. Starting tomorrow my first pouring and steaming of milk with you buy my side
Dude. You're amazing at presenting. This was extreeeeeeemely helpful. Can't wait to play with these synchronized swimmers 😩😂😂😭
So happy that you enjoyed it! Thank you for leaving a comment
Wow it's so amazing
Appreciate everything u do man
Thank you so much!
Excellent. Thank you
Great explanation 👍
Appreciate it!
Here to help the shorter video gang, though I’ve seen the extended version of this one too haha. Nice work dude.
Also, I call that period of stiffening of the foam “gelling up.” Looks like I’ll switch to concretization now since it got that Lance bump 😂. Love you dude. Thanks for the good content for everyone.
Thanks for the love, maxwell! Your support across the platforms has meant a ton. Tbh
You are the Greatest !!
❤ amazing latte art! You must have been practicing a lot.❤
Yo your sweater is sweet, thanks!
Very helpful!
Beat box dat latte boi! Thanks for the video
Hahaha! For sure. Thanks for watching!
my man, you are good.
Groovy sweater and heart art❤
I just watch the video on foam, milk foam that is, and both videos are beyond awesome of course.
But then come the beat box !.. And I'm like "does this guy know CoffeeShin?", there must be a collab here!
Short and sweet.
Sweet ass sweater Lance!
Thanks for the support, carl!
Hi Lance! I really appreciate all your videos! They’ve really helped me figure things out. I was wondering what you’d think of starting a “react” series where you take a look at submissions about steaming milk/latte art and help determine what they did wrong. I think you’re so good at latte art that even when you try to show the mistakes things turn out better than most of mine… so seeing real users making mistakes might help the rest of us. Thanks!
Hey! I would but my friend, Emilee, is going to start doing this and I don't want to steal her idea. Coffee YT is smaller than you'd think and I'd hate to swipe an idea she has come up with!
@@LanceHedrick ahh that makes sense! Thanks for getting back to me 😊
Absolutely! Glad to help
I like the studio! Looks like a nice Williams Sonoma display (in a good way lol). Of course nice sweater too
Haha! Just an available kitchen. It's the house of a family member of my camera guy lol
Yo your sweater is sweet😂🤣and helpful too🙂❤️love from Nepal🇳🇵
Yo, that sweater rocks!
Thank you! Lol
Yo your sweater is sweet.
Seriously, though - love watching your vids!
Good job
Your sweater is sweet. Your beat boxing is fresh. My latte art sucks lol
Lol! Takes time and watching my vids 1000000 times haha
He got that microfoam pourin till the micro dome glistens
And got that microphone soarin while a megadome listens.
Yeah, 30,000 ears itchin to hear what comes next
So Lance throws the next pitch and puts it into context.
He's making difficult moves with black pitcher in hand.
Makin everything look easy and does it all for the fans.
Coming over with the bars NONSTOP! Love it
@@LanceHedrick All for the love, brov
thanks for another great video, Lance. Do you have any comments about the shape of the cup? does the diameter need to be greater than the height? cheers Ross
great!!!
Another inspirational Latte Art video, with a smidge of beat box thrown in for good measure. Why? Do we deserve this? What did we do? We are just humble YT'ers yearning for content and BOOM, a Coffee Video God emerges from the vast underground forest of coffee bean trees in the small village of Beatboxelvania...beware the beats he lays down, for they will enLance your very soul...
Hahaha! The drip man cometh and spewed some fantastic words. Appreciate you
I like the short videos as a 101 and the long videos to troubleshoot if it's not panning out for me.
Interesting, I never knew synchronized swimmers could become concrete that we could drink. Haha.
Anyhow. Thank you so much for this video. I need to go and learn and practice now how to do this.
Hi Lance. Really like your casual approach to coffee. I think some take it far too serious. I'm new to home coffee making but enjoying it, but despite watching loads of tutorials, can't get any pattern due to not being able to get the foam to float, despite getting my milk like 'melted marshmallow '. Any tips greatly received. Thanks.
Lance, i use a breville dual boiler and when pouring my latte art i face a common problem with my espresso 'cracking' i don't know the correct term. But i think it could be a thin crema? It makes my designs almost squiggle. should i be changing my pressure? what do i need to change.
As ever another great video Lance, Are there any adjustment you would make for milk foamer? (Non wand)?
Hold up, that beatbox was fire bro wth 🔥
Lance, so good. I like your videos often. When you started beatboxing I was looking around for the Superlike button. Can I like at an 11? So good. Thx for the reminder. This lead me to your longer milk steaming tutorial and I'm appreciating the Oat Milk tips :)
Haha! Thank you! So glad you enjoyed it
Awweee baby Lance
Thanks Lance - great refresher course as ever! However, I had made great progress using your previous vids and then, about a month ago my latte art progress stopped and retracted ;( .
How important is the quality and quantity of the espresso for the canvas?
yo your sweater is sweet ^^
Lol thanks!
Yo! Your sweater is sweet :D
Nice sweater bro!
thank you! haha!
This tells me all I need to know lol
@@LanceHedrick I would love to get those sweaters!
Nice sweater
Nice pace
Yo your sweater is sweet!!!
Appreciate it!
Thanks for the video - really helpful! What is that handle-less jug you're using?
I am loving the shorter form videos. You obviously are extremely knowledgeable, but I tend to get lost on some of the nuisances/tangents on the longer form videos.
Pls do a video on common latte art designs with close up examples :)
I'll put that on the queue!
Hey Lance! You should change your concrete analogy to hour 1, hour 2, etc... it hardens quite fast (relatively speaking). It does take many days to fully cure, but it's hard enough to stand on after a few hours.
I'm using a breville oracle touch and I'm trying to follow your guide but when I start the art part, the milk seems to just sink through the crema ie I dont form the "white blob" of milk so I cant do any art. Is there something simple I am doing wrong?
Babe it's 12:00! Time for another latte art tutorial!
Yes dear...
Thanks Lance, my skills improve with each video
Love it! Commitment
Sweet
it is so easy for him... so hard for me to get that heart to show up...still trying. Thanks Lance.
Takes practice and repetition! You got this!
Thanks Lance ~ Oh! btw Cool Sweater!
Yo your sweater is sweet!
I would love any tips on milk steaming and doing latte art with different milk alternatives. Do you do anything different?
He linked a video for that
Your sweater is sweet! 😊
Thanks haha
Your sweater is sweet!
You have given me the inspiration to try again with latte art. I have to admit that I'm hopeless when it comes to doing this. I usually tell people to close their eyes and enjoy the taste of the coffee that I make them. As a friend once said to me while looking into a vaguely cloud shaped pattern in his coffee, I'm probably closer to being autistic than artistic.
You can do it! I believe
A very very sweet sweater
Lol!
Beat box and coffee!!! 🍻
You know it! Lol
Yo, your sweater is sweet!
