My Volvo turned 212,000 miles last night (I'm a rideshare driver). No leaks, doesn't skip a beat, and the AWD enabled me to stay out during snowpocalypse. I added nearly 1000 miles over 5 days on ice covered roads getting people where they needed to go safely and comfortably. Everyone asked me what my "Total beast of a car with heated REAR seats" was. I proudly answered "A 2012 Volvo XC60, the best car I've ever owned!" Sidenote: If a mechanic doesn't know much about a certain car, it's probably pretty good.

@Sound Sleep I’ve smelled cars for years (no pun intended) and I can tell you the best smelling car interiors are 1990’s Toyota’s & early 2000’s ones. They have this mix between coconut & clay smell that’s really nice. Absolutely delicious. But the best part about that is that Toyota smell lasts a LONG time. I’ve gone to the junkyard and 30 year old Toyota Pickups with 300,000 miles STILL have that nice smell, if they haven’t been smoked in. But BY FAR the BEST smelling car I’ve ridden in is my uncle’s low mileage 2005 Matrix base. It has that smell but with a little bit of flavour, best I can describe is somebody mixed oxyclean with coconut flavour vape juice. Apparently that was what 9th gen Corollas and 1st Gen Matrixes new smell was back in the day. I know this is a goofy & absurd topic but just saying from experience.

Exactly, it's a little trigger, there is no side sensors for the SIPS bag until 1999, the 850's and 98 V70/S70 has a trigger with almost a gunpowder/acid charge in it, once the door contacts the trigger it blows. As an owner of 2 R's and '85 740T manual. '97 854R and a 07 V70R M66 TiGrey/Atacama I have some extra info for Adrian. The 850 came out in 91 in Europe as the 850 /GLT. The GLT was the first model to make it to the US in mid 92/93. The GLT changed its body style in 94 so if you have an 93 its hard to find parts. After that the GLT continued to 97. IT also continued to the V and S 60/70 models as well. There was a T-5R and a R model. the T5R was made in 95 it had the motorsports emblem mounted next to the T5R emblem. The emblem was actually the TWR racing logo for the BTCC championship racing season. In 96 and 97 the FIRST R's were made Not later in the V70 mode to clarify R owners would go crazy on that one... :) There was also a 98-99 S70R ONLY in Europe. Adrian could benefit from some really great history tid-bits on swedespeed and volvospeed. Also my 85 740T had CUPHOLDERS, and the 96 Plat you have there has rear sway bars too. You almost touched it with your hand.....To the owner nice Brick too...
