Just brought a Mustang 100x last week and I couldn’t be happier. Me, my wife and family friends kayaked around our local lake and the Mustang 100x performed very well, even with boats making wakes. The seat is very comfortable and at this price point I can say without a doubt you won’t find a better kayak for your money. It’s so stable I was able to take my 7 year old out in the kayak with me. I’m 225 pounds and she weighs around 54.

That exo pod in the back is NOT waterproof. Just keep that in mind while paddling and waterproof your gear before packing. Otherwise, It's a great kayak. The exo pod did get a little water in it, but it didn't weight down the rear at all.

Can a man of 280 lbs use this?

this is late but im thinking that its pushing it since the weight limit is 275 so might want to look at a kayak that can take at least 300 lbs

The stupid storage pod is NOT waterproof. I almost drowned because mine took in water, which brought the rear of the kayak under water, and started filling the inside. Lost my rod, reel, and some of my tackle because it sank.
That all said, remove the pod and it's an amazing kayak. I love it. But no drainage in the storage area (a scupper hole would have saved me that day) or a waterproof pod.

@@eli25jk70 Light wind. As soon as it takes even a small amount of water, it goes under.
