    Nice! I changed rubbers for some friends some months ago and one of them gave me his own 'cost-effective' rubbers. Looked at them and saw they are extruded. Did not use them.
    Especially when doing our exploration trips for several days here in Panama and guns are exposed to the daily routine on the pangas (boats) and all sort of items can touch (cut) the rubbers, we do only rely on dipped natural latex bands (as the one RA uses).
    Great to see how much gear 101 you guys are sharing. Love that. Much love from Panama >

    Hello. You said earlier that each rubber can accelerate a shaft to a certain speed. It turns out that the rubber that gives higher speed is reactive? I tried Sigal and Salvimar rubber of the same diameter. Sigal gives significantly greater shaft speed. I shoot light 6.25 harpoons. With reactive rubber, the shaft flies straight and penetrates fish better. It is a fact.

      As long as you can get your spear up to the maximum speed of the rubber, you will get the best performance 👍

    Is there a way to tell the difference between dipped and extruded solid colour rubbers? I thought that solid = extruded, but you showed some black dipped. Would one have to do the cut test?

      Hi, I just checked a sample of all black. It is very difficult to see the rings but they are there. The only way to be sure is to do the tear test as shown in the video. I do recall seeing plain amber (no pigment) dipped latex and the rings were more visible.

    Hello I love your videos Sir , can you show us the progressive vs reactive rubbers please?

    • @RobAllenSpearfishing
      @RobAllenSpearfishing  Před 8 měsíci +1

      Thank you for your suggestion, but this is a very controversial subject. I will do one sometime. From what I have been lead to believe, "progressive" rubber is just the standard rubber not fully cured. the rubber will continue aging and become "reactive" on the shelf if left long enough. I still do not see an advantage. To me, the loss in power while loaded is more important. We will be putting this up soon, maybe the next video.

      No es tan facil , no tiene idea de lo dificil q es ser pescasub en Cuba . Le agradezco la intension . Pero sigan con esa calidad que muchas veces sirve de inspiracion para innovar frente a la necesidad. Thanks you

      I understand your problem. Hopefully by the end of 2024 we will have a factory in Mexico. It might be easier to supply gear from Mexico.
      Entiendo tu problema. Ojalá para finales de 2024 tengamos una fábrica en México. Podría ser más fácil suministrar equipo desde México.

      I hope that the quality doesn't go down. Every time a manufacturer moves from their origin to another country the quality always goes down. Rob a lot of people have faith in your product please don't change that.@@RobAllenSpearfishing

      You have to weigh the pros and cons. If you do not need high performance then no problem for you to stick to the cheaper options. We do not have a distributor in the Philippines so you could order direct. If you put together an order with a few friends the and order direct from us it could be a reasonable price.
