As I'm re-watching the series, this relationship is growing on me. I'm definitely a Bensler fan, but I am really starting to appreciate the love and respect of the Benson/Tucker relationship.
This was the best couple on television, why did they have to kill him off. With these two characters, television finally showed two people with demanding careers but who also have a balanced life with their relationship, they were just two wonderful characters together, Tucker & Benson were the best television couple in recent television history, just the best, the very best!!!❤️🎉🎉💫
THANK YOU!!!!! Right I was never happy that they broke up then they killed him off…. Benson even said it her self that there was only one who she thought would last a long time😔
Oh my :(. This video is fantastic and so heartmoving: who would have ever thought that Ed Tucker himself could have been the man who made Liv truly happy? This season is a real rollarcoaster of emotions, with Olivia remembering Ed and Declan coming back into Amanda's life too late :(
@@kathycostello6931 First, pretty much he also meant Noah, since we saw him play with him in the last episode of the 17th season; second, she was in a crisis for the death of Mike Dodds; last, i don't remember him saying that he wanted her to retire, only himself. It was evident that he wished to form a family with Liv and Noah.They could have handled it better
I don't think Tucker is as bad as everyone makes him (I used to hate him). I rewatched the series, and he did his job and did it well. A lot of his encounters with SVU are bc they put themselves in those situations, except for Liv’s setup by those bikers. But El always puts himself in situations bc of his temper. This is one of the writers' best things for Liv until it was short-lived. I'm glad that they have her to continue mentioning Tucker bc I think deep down, as someone else said, they both cared about each other deeply. In the words of Liv, “I wish we had more time!”
Omg yes!!! I totally agree, he always pissed me off in the older seasons, but if your really think about it, he was the only man who actually committed to Liv and was there for her. I mean El was there for her but not the way Tucker was. And I feel like Elliot would not have liked them together, but the only reason he has bad blood with Tucker is exactly what you said. He sets himself in situations like that bc he had anger problems. I hope they keep mentioning tucker too. Like I want a whole episode abt him.
Actually, i didn't: on the first episode he had appeared (s3e14 i believe), he was even cooperating with the SVU squad in taking the false policeman raper. After maybe he was harsh, but he was only doing his job.
Exactly! They were the ones causing the problems, why should he believe them just because they say they're innocent when all the evident proves otherwise?! He's used to working with dirty cops, it was his job.

In the episode where she was set up, and they were in the interrogation room, you could tell he knew she didn't do it (to me) but still had to question her. Even with the whole William Lewis case, he and the other guy tried to steer her the other way, but she stood her ground. There was always something between them; it was subtle but, at the same time, noticeable.

Elliot would never have understood, especially the way Tucker treated both of them when he was IAB, but later Tucker was a different person and mellowed and got to see Olivia differently. I didn't watch much after CM left but saw some of Liv/Tucker and they both cared for each other deeply and even though at the end they weren't together, his death affected her. I'm not ready for Liv/Elliot to be together just yet, there needs to be more forgiveness and trust and he has to grow more
The perfect man for Olivia if she couldn't get Elliot. He even looks like a good dad to Noah. What could've been. Why is it always Olivia losing out on love? I feel so sorry for my Queen. 😢
I haven't seen all the episodes of the series, so when Fin talked about one relationship that was pretty solid, I thought he was talking about Cassidy.
They were my favorite couple on svu tb serie wish they didnt have to cut him out😭😭 I was just having my hopes for them to be together cause they ment to be she finally found the right one for her and it was taken away from her🥺😘

They'd laid the groundwork for it in season 16, then you started thinking it was more than a work friendship in early season 17 confirmed by the finale. I think it was kind of lovely the way, Tucker was always seen as an antagonist then became one of her closest confidants.
I think when she realised she was more than just her job and became a mum she started to see Tucker as not just his job too. I think both of them dropped the ego a little with each other too so there became room for vulnerability.
I HATED him for all of the original seasons bc I wanted Kathy gone and EO from the start. And I almost puked when they paired them. I’ve rewatched twice. Now on second watch of Elliot’s return I’m going to look at them again bc she’s talking like he was the one and I was too busy gagging 🤢
I never thought that. There are couples that I know for years that are more years apart than Tucker & Liv. Age is not the end all, especially if two people really share something special. Should have been her end all. They were truly good together.
