Interesting. I have got a CLA Shooting Brake from mid 2015 with Audio20-CD, Active Park Assist and a reverse camera. But somehow I only know how to use the auto park funktion for parallel parking. When I try to park in a kind of parking lot like you did in your video the car doesn´t recognize a parking opportunity (?). Does that kind of parking only work in connection with some special configuration? Maybe it only works with Comand?
I find that depending on the size of the carpark and how close your approach is will depend on if the car decides to do a normal park or a parallel park. Try approaching from further away at a tighter parking spot. I assume if your park assist works, it will work in either application. Also try cleaning all of your exterior sensors.
It doesn’t accelerate and break itself, right? Mine doesn’t have a backup camera, it can park in parallel (just turning through wheels), I’ve never tried parking like in the video.
@@Tik46 I have a manual one, it still works but you yourself have to control the throttle and it will tell you if you have to change into reverse or vice versa.
