Mysore Palace also known as the Ambavilas Palace is the official residence of Wadiyar Dynasty. It took 15 years to construct this palace and was completed in 1912. The Palace is built in Indo Sarcenic architecture and it was designed by the architect Henry Irving. Mysore Palace is a mix of Hindu, Mughal, Rajput and Gothic Styles.
Mysore Palace in India is visited by 6 Million people every year.

Mysore Palace was built in the year 1912 for the 24th Ruler of the Wodeyar Dynasty and is counted amongst one of the biggest palaces in the country.
The construction of the Mysore Palace was orchestrated by the Maharaja Krishnaraja Wadiyar IV referred as "Rajarishi"

The Old Palace was built on Wood and it caught fire during 1896 Dasara Festival. The King and the Family shifted to Jagan Mohan Palace which was constructed in 1861 by the Wodeyar King His Highness Krishna Raja Wodeyar III. During this time the construction of the New Mysore Palace started and it was completed in 1912(Ambavilas Palace).
The Jagan Mohan Palace is now Jagan Mohan Art Gallery, which is privately owned by the Mysore Royal Family. The Jagan Mohan Art Galley contains painting of Raja Ravi Varma. An important painting in the Art Galley is the Lady with the Lamp also know as Glow of Hope painted by the artist Haldenkar and is placed in a dark room. This gives an illusion that the glow of the lamp is illuminating the face of the women

There is no mugal architecture at all in the palace. People are not studying the designs of the palace, but refer to some travel logs, secondary texts, of foreigners writings and wrongly discuss. Please one should shop this kind of forwarding info. Refer properly and also give ref .
