I love being Canadian. Nobody outside of Canada knows what we are like at all 🤣
So true.
Universal ambiguity. I say let's toast some decent rye and keep it that way!
I describe being Canadian as being part of a really cool secret club, that nobody knows exists, and nobody cares is cool.
@@marysegrimsdale1554 That's a great way of looking at it. I live abroad, and work with people from all over the world, and no one knows anything about Canada. All they can come up with is cold and maple syrup.
Man it stinks, with all the warm weather my igloo started melting and i my cooler isnt working, i lost most of my food so my beaver moved up north to find a new master. At least i still have my maple syrup haha
"Why does Canada have a lot of whisky?"....cause we have a shit tonne of Scots and Irish here. lol
Lol, and then some!
Yeah I think there's more Scottish and Irish people in Canada than there are in Scotland and Ireland.
And _SO_ much wheat, barley, and rye. ;^)
@@BoojumFed Yes! Thank you. That's the answer. Shit loads of crops of all kinds.
Also producing whiskey is pretty easy compared too a lot of places because of our flat lands
"Whats with Canada and whiskey?"
We have winter....its how we get through winter.
this is it.
Not on the wet, ah-hem, I mean west coast. Here we have summer, fall and spring and just kind of skip the winter.
I can say unequivocally that yeah we experience anywhere from 4 to 6 months of winter where I'm at in Canada.
Summer is just long enough to "grow" more whiskey lol
there's also a lot prairies....and it's mostly grain fields heh heh
"Everything is maple flavoured in Canada."
Me: (Glances at bottle of Crown Royal Maple on the shelf)
_They're on to us._
Hahaha I went to see one of my favourite bands play in Toronto a few years ago. They're British, and their lead guitarist was obsessed with Crown Maple. Crown Apple is better, but they should have sampled Forty Creek. That's my go to. Smooth finish.

Three day long games, and such. Hard to get documentation from several hundred years ago.

Have a good day! I recommend a Junior A or equivalent level game once you can, same as hockey. Because the people at that level want to go on to the big show, REAL bad.
Nobody has ever treated Crown Royal with such class till’ this moment😂😂
Sourmash shit lol
I completely agree lol. I ashamedly however must confess it is 3:18pm and I'm still feeling sick and head pounding from having far too many glasses of this last night. Lockdown will make you do crazy stuff. Like drink Crown Royal from 8pm to 3am. There was bad CZcams karoake around 1a.m. and a tear shed listening to a rendition of Leonard Cohen's Hallelujah. It clued us in it was time to preemptively take some Advil and go to bed. There is a distinct hangover that comes from Crown Royal. I don't recommend.
@@meesa8468 lol thanks for sharing a little of your life. Crown royal is a sour mash whiskey like jack daniels they arent clean booze and have alot of sugar. Drink water with the crown not pop. Try a non sourmash whiskey like Gibsons Finest Sterling

“Why is Canada so mad for the whisky?”
Pot calling the kettle black, aye Ireland?
Sweet and smooth vs sweet and harsh. All what you are used to. i like CDN Whisky and am not a fan of Irish, but I prefer Bourbon to both. I grew up in Canada and didn't like bourbon for the longest time, but now....
@@rich7447, Bourbon is nice once-in-a-while, but in my opinion, it tastes like Scotch-Lite, possibly because it is made from corn mash instead of a wheat base alcohol.
@@scotti.6433 American Rye is a good alternative to Bourbon. Wheated Rye is a little different too.
@@rich7447 I grew up in the USA and my go to bar brand has been Crown for years but a fine Bourbon cannot be beat.
@@kurtsaxton9665 I actually didn't say that Bourbon an't be beat. I grew up in Canada drinking Canadian Whisky and now find it too sweet to have more than one or two. I still like the rye flavor, so I tend to go for American Rye (less sweet than Canadian Rye) far more than I go for Bourbon. Not all whiskies made in the US are Bourbon.
I’ve not given any children whiskey 😂 back in my nannies day they would put a little bit of whiskey on the baby soothers to calm them if they were crying! P.s I’m a great babysitter!
I got your back Shannon... I use to be an Au Pair and I know that whiskey can be your best friend.
Shannon I think the kids would have to keep you out of trouble having you as a sitter would be way to much fun
Shannon, the Irish side of my family uses a drop of whisky on the gums for teething pains, so I'm with you.
Please whiskey on the pacifier (in America), dummy (in UK) possibly same in Ireland when teething teaches us early how the nectar of the Gods needs to be consumed slowly at leisure.
Ours too! For sleep. Crying. Teething. Crankiness. All of it. Now apparently parents just sedate them with cough syrup. Like somehow that is better. I'm Canadian btw!
Wish they had a bottle of Newfoundland Screech to get the party going. In fact, I think they should do a episode of getting Screeched In as Newfoundlanders 💫

A big part of the Crown Royal experience is slipping it out of the purple velvet bag. Back in the day we collected them like animal pelt trophies.
Dan Aykroyd really knows how to make a smooth sipping paint thinner, boy oh boy
I have a 48 years old (now in 2020) unopened bottle of Crown Royal, with its original seal and in it's original purple bag. It was a farewell gift from a colleague, when I left my old job. Survived 3 moves to 3 different cities in 12 years. That's a precious ornament in my apartment.
Distilled vodka literally means poured over charcoal filters..you can do this at home with cheap vodka and a britta water filter..do it like 5 times and you now have smooth vodka
pure fucking genius buddy!!
Good to know, it's hard enough getting some vodkas down, at least there's a way to make it better.
That is why Canadians are so polite, we always have a hangover...
Speaking of maple-flavored alcohol: a Michigan distillery (Iron Fish) has a bourbon finished in maple syrup barrels. It is quite tasty. Goes for about $46 for normal strength and $65 for barrel proof.
Next time make em try newfie screech I would love to see that
Absolutely Want to see that!
Throw in some Yukon Jack, Gibson's Finest, Alberta Premium, and a nice go at the Moose Milk to finish it off.
Oh you’re evil
Canadians know how to make what “warms us up “
James Bond was a Canadian Club drinker, but the 60's had the new trendy Martini and that's what producers had him drink in the movies.
This was fun to watch on so many levels 🤣. Although I wish they had tried Gibson’s finest... so good!
After Lot 40: Emman has left the building, the country, continent, and this plane of existence.
I love you guys, watch every episode every week!
But for f*** sake, maple is NOT everywhere in everything. Its produced here, but that's about the extent of maple obsession.
Loves you all, I've gotta go walk my beaver to my friend's igloo.
don't forget your hockey stick. And remember don't drink and drive a moose.
@@alstonjacobs4934 That was yesterday, eh.
Like just don't get a DUI (Dogsledding Under the Influence) citation like my friend eh? They even impound-ed his vehicle
The license plate on my Zamboni is out of date.
Umm maple is everywhere on the East Coast and ketchup is for wherever maple isn’t.
I've been watching these videos forever now. I think I've been drinking too much to the point I forgot to subscribe haha!
We do have maple sirup whisky, 2 brands, Coureur des bois, and my favourite, Sortilège.
you missed 2 of the best whiskeys, Revelstoke and 40 creek.
Never had revel stoke but I can agree on 40 creek that’s stuff is delicious
@@bmartin9396 love 40 creek. It's my fav. Use to be gibson's, but now it's 40 creek!
Missed Gibson's Finest Rare as well.
I worked at a pub that used 40 Creek in a few of their signature sauces that went out with wings and burgers. That's how the customer's get hooked. ;-)
40 Creek is the best!!
I am so proud to be Canadian when people like compliment our food or drinks
I’m proud even if they insult us. Cuz I know they’re likely wrong
Didn't expect Lot 40, it's really good.
Everytime I hear one instance of "maple syrup" from those who have heard of Canada's connection to it, I just die of laughter.
