I prefer running the deck with Maximum Belt and a Kieran or two to help fix the math vs Vs and exs. One Kieran can help you hit 280 to KO most Vstars, and one Kieran with Maximum Belt can get you to 330 damage to KO most stage 2 exs.
I dont understand why switching the palafin ex out of the active allows it to attack for multiple turns in a row. The effect under giga impact says "during your next turn, this pokemon can't attack"... so what gives? It should say "until it leaves the active spot" since that's apparently how it actually works. That being said, I've found that one devolution can absolutely massacre a palafin ex deck =)
When you come out of the active spot it resets it. Let’s just say you sit a turn and don’t attack. And if you’re still not knocked out you can attack again on your third turn. Gouging Fire ex actually says “must come out of the active spot”. Therefore Gouging Fire can sit there all day and never attack unless it moves. I hope that makes sense. Most Stage 2 decks get their butts kicked from Devolutions if timed correctly.
I prefer also adding the palafin from obsidian flames in this deck. If you run out of rods, you have a palafin and a dudunsparce in play, and you have 2 prizes, and the opponents active can be knocked out by 210 damage. so, yeah.
I prefer adding the Palafin from Temporal Forces. It's less damage, 130 vs 210, but it's a lot easier to use the attack as it doesn't have any switching restrictions and it only costs 1 energy.
I love palafin, I tried using starmie (pokemon go) which adds 2 damage counters and can serve as a dudunsparce (if active) with kieran and defiance band to potentially do 330 one time

Those should definitely be added. Hitting those numbers are huge.
