After almost 6 months since I quit Lost Ark I decided to check out everything new thats been added to the game as well as try my luck with Akkan and Kayangel, to answer the question if its worth coming back for Lost Ark 2023.

This game is like a toxic ex girlfriend. The sex (action gameplay, legion raids) is still good, but the rest will wear you out, again, eventually. Even when she looks like she's trying to make changes.

I really like the gameplay etc but the alt needing and the gatekeeper community keeps me away
I think once they make a lot of the content solo playable I will give it another try, but I can not take the toxic community in this game.
I like playing games where you help new players not trash them.

@@FRESHY_GG Latest director mentioned about solo raiding till Voldis patch, So people can prog older raids alone. With some confidence, you can jump back into party raid as you wish.
I was going to finally give the game a shot. Though, after reading the comments, watching a few videos I've finally decided on nvm. It just sound super punishing for a new player to get into it.

It would a much better game/experience if there were more learning parties and people in the game were overall more chill. So many groups there's always people that are on the verge of having a mental breakdown if one small thing goes wrong. There's no in between from parties that have never done the raid before or 'exp'. I just want to practice raids I haven't done a ton and don't really care about clearing because in the long run it will get a lot easier with practice but the environment in-game does not really support this. This could be due to players or game design, it doesn't really matter tbh because the reality is the community is not that fun to interact with. Solo content would be really good for the game imo
Problem is that there aren't rewards for teaching raids, or for taking mokokos in the raid. If you could specify in lobby that this is learning raid you should be rewarded with something, which could encourage more people to try teaching new players the way.
Honestly being a mmo i dont see why people asking for TEACHING party's like just make your own learning. that what we did when the game started. people aint as good during your learning well that's just what you get tryhard are usualy there first then you get mid tier players but that's not tryhard players fault. I do learning party's here an dthere but i also encourage my learners to do some prog on there own !
If only AGS or Smile gate would removed the 1 mistake, party wipe mechanic then the game would be pretty much be ok.

If we talking reclear content well people that would want easy stuff and dont wanna go hard on it should do normal mode and understand the barre minimum ( if we keep wipe mechs in normal raids)
But a good solution would be to put harder wipe mechs in hard mode and none in nomral

I played daily since the launch and quit when the game got the massive wave of +300K bots. At that time I was really burnout of play 6 characters and do the same everyday to get 2 upgrates. To me the biggest reason to quit was the gatekeeping people wanting players who've 10K hrs on a raid that has been out 3 days and the raid mechanics. I'm glad they deleted gates from Vykas and Brelshaza, but the annoy "1 person fail and the whole team get wiped cuz' you've to learn ass mechanics and literally need guides" still there and thats a big HELL NO for me.
Theres waaaaaaaaaay too many games out there and we already know that we are in the era where we as gamer have finally so many options to play, so we don't want to spend the whole day just doing complete 1 single fkn raid.

i tried to comeback after soul eater came, but the lock elgacia behind tons of stupid quests.. i instant deleted again. to annoying.
-Are you willing to invest in 1 character and be somewhat juice (the event currently giving free Gem 8 to new 1580 char) or are you willing to play a support to be more familiar with the raids (wipe mech and normal attacks), hence get your achievements? If not, then why are you complaining? You want people to sacrifice, spend their time and money to accommodate you, but not the other way around?
-Simpler, say if you are the lobby master for brel hard with 1 slot left, and you have a 1560 full gem 7 wk+19 and a 1580 gem 8/9 wk+22 applied, which one do you choose? Tell me, honestly. -Not to say you FRESHY specifically, but just to put this out there, if you want to play "MMO" (Massive multiplayer), maybe try to see how can you accommodate and help other people first before complaining why others don't accept or accommodate to fit your need.
-I currently have a 1582 Pally, 1540 Bard, 1520 Artist, 1550 GL, 1550 Sharpshooter, 1480 Glaiver as my 6 highest ilvl characters.
Elitism like this is why MMOs die. None of your point get to the core problem of the game. Its progression and alt system. Everything you are mentioning is a consequence of how much u gatekeep someone to fit your needs and even then, most the times the players suck, achievement or not, juiced or not.
Truth is gatekeeping is a problem because everyone is in a rush to play their 8th, 6th or 12th alt and progress faster, making it feel like a damn job. Card systems, gems, engravings, raid knowledge. All these things sum up to each other but we keep praising a "mokoko express" that gives everything, what about the player thay came back and is given everything but doesnt know the raid? Are you gonna tell him JUST WATCH GUIDE? AS IF anything in Losy Ark was as simple as that.
This game is just another trap for no lifers and elitist that give in to the easiest bad game design baits.
Because this mentality has worked so well so far, right?

Also, I only do dailies when there’s rest bonus and only on those top 5 characters, not 6. Then find raid lobbies, if can’t then I’ll wait til next time when I feel like doing raids, or with friends.

I don’t need to be dps, don’t need to be someone that people praise, just enjoy helping supporting. But the friends I play with, the dps either invest their time to be more juice or if they don’t have time they will invest small money $10-20 to their char to join and contribute to the group so that the group doesn’t have to accommodate and carry them. Then there is me and another person well don’t have time and don’t spend money, we would play supports and enjoy contributing to the group.
It’s an MMO everyone has a role, maybe try to think for others first and see how you can contribute. If not, maybe single player game or solo competitive game is better for you.
If you have play Ragnarok Online or other older MMOs you will know the meaning of everyone has a role, and the role of dps is find ways to do more and more damage, not minimum and expect the team to carry you.

Full legendary costume doesnt give you 8 % more Power compared to purple. Its more like 1%
I misspoke here, I meant to say it gives 8% dex, int, str as your main attack power increasing stat, or however you'd like to call them. secondary stats.

i also quit at the start of this year. i came back a few months ago and i think they did a pretty good job at actually listening to players. But gatekeeping is still my biggest problem with the game. my 7 chars are all on 1490+ ilvl. i only do vykas/clown/brel 1+2 with them even though they are way higher ilvl. I tried learning kayangel when i came back a few months ago but now u just dont find any groups or they just gatekeep you. My motivation isnt even really making a character strong and high dps anymore like it was back in the days. The only reason why i gear my characters is so i dont get gatekept and thats really sad in my eyes
oh and one thing i forgot. i play this game since 1.5 years and im still only roster 120. people think im new and i dont know mechs bcs of roster. but when i started i didnt really have a way to get much roster xp and now the players just get roster 140 in a few weeks. This is probably also a reason why i get gatekept but i just wish they would remove this roster thing completely. mokoko is ok to know which players are new but i literally played valtan 200 times and i still get gatekept
me and a friend also wanna get into it again and see how it goes. gate keeping and the daily grind with alts etc were the reason i quit, i would like to collect more etc, but back in the days i didnt have time for it, i rly wish they would change that, atleast for the western audience
I left Lost Ark before they added argos. I left because i was burned out, playing on 7 different characters daily. I was frustrated because the game felt awesome and in general i fell in love with the wolrd, u could say, i felt home.
1 week ago i came back and brought some friends. We hoped on a jumpstart server and instantly got a South Vern pass. I really wanted to try out the new Legion Raids and in general was hyped to see all the new content. But after 3 days i already uninstalled. The reason for this was simple. Back in Punika, oreha Fusion Materials werent that hard of a bottleneck then now. Yes the jumpstart event gives u a ton of ressources to get to 1460, and if u are lucky u get their if not u will have to grind atleast over 2 weeks just to get to 1460. Ok so what does the game tell u to do ? It tells u to do the Legion raids. I wasnt abel to find a single group for it, i read online that pretty much no one is doing old content anymore including the older legion raids and if they are doing them, its just a bus. Im sry but im not their to get a bus, i want to play the mechanics and enjoy the video game, its why i play mmos, to have challanging raid encounters.
The way how it my day would look like this
- do my homework
- go fishing to craft oreha fusion mats to get up
- wait for 1 hour in ques for abyss dungeon to get some gold
- getting the rest of the gold from dailiys
having no access to legion raids just kinda sucks and a bus being the only way to experience this content is simply the reason for me to just not get back at all anymore.
I would give the game another chance if they would remove gold from upgrading your gear aka fusion materials.
Also and this might be an unpopular opinion, remove the ability to transfer upgrade mats from alts. This would remove the fear of missing out if u just want to play on one character and i think most people would not get burned out so fast. I know this sounds casual af but i dont see a point in having to swap chars to get more upgrade mats. This change would most certainly break the whole game economy but im most certain, players especially new players would appreciate it.
I also read that they basicly completely butchered the horizontal progression in the game, wich i dont like. Honestly i liked that the game gave me a good variety on stuff to do wich was not all killing stuff. I liked takinga break to do islands or collecting mokokoseeds. Reading that its basicly useless kinda makes me not wanna play the game and rather invest my time into other mmos that respect my time more.
Still hopes for the game to thrive and hold/grow their audience again
I used to love this game grinded like crazy had a healthy active clan... But I left bc of the rng upgrading and upgrade fails there was a time my item failed 20+ times for the next upgrade. I wonder if this has been fixed or changed somehow? I really want to come back but not if I have to go through that crap again.

Same, not worth it, I tried the super mokoko express on main roster and also tried a new character in the jump start server events. The issues are still the same, the game's monetization system is so predatory that F2P or low spenders get their brains rotten by chores and their duty of doing several raids a week, causing toxic people and extreme gatekeeping.
Even in the jump start server, there are many more reclear/vet parties than learning/returning parties, I even saw people gatekeeping roster level in a 5 days old server, lmao. The game is all about having many alts to get these titles and keep the braindead farming or pay2win to stay above gatekeeping and slavery.
Is kmmorpg. Did u expect u can do anything with 1 hour of gametime? Im having LoA as my main game. I never experience any kind of gatekeeping.
If alts weren't so needed to progress the game would look different, but no alts means lower player retention, which isn't good for the bussiness

gatekeeping and elitism is the main reason i stopped playing lost ark. you'd sit there for hours applying to groups and getting rejected, or you'd make your own group sitting there waiting for supports... have someon rage quit after 1 wipe and have to remake the group after 2-3 more leave. evenutally just give up and pay gold for a carry to some whale no lifer
Sounds to me like either game was not for you or severe skill issue. I run weekly latest content possible on multiple chars and 1. i dont experience any kind of gatekeeping. 2. most of it is one shot max 40-60 mins a raid with an ocasional 2-3h jail at some point during the week

I had a bard today on jump start server,that quit after two trys in brel g4,I think we had 1 or 2 new players and us veterans died mostly to fall dmg,anyway he was an asshole and toxic and left,we get back in and about 2h later we clear,then I saw him still jail in g4 still looking for members...😂😂 that is true karma

As someone who left around valtan release, more due to burnout than not liking the game, coming back at ilvl 1415 with the mokoko seed next to my name and no one I knew still playing, all the problems you mentioned were so much worse. The gatekeeping is insane and will stay there so long as having learning players in the party is so punishing. Having to play alts to fund your main also mean needing a lot of time to invest in the game and that playing multiple classes because you like that and wanting to bring them up for legion raids means spreading your resources thin in a very counterproductive manner, which is something I personally hate as someone that likes to change classes frequently.
Completely agree, despite all the efforts to bring new and returning players, the game systems wont allow for these players to stay

i have 3k hours in the game with a 1580 main and i agree too lol. i play support so gatekeeping isnt a problem but my friend plays reaper and even when hes overgeared he gets gatekept. its probably the biggest issue in the game rn for everybody, its just worse for new players. id say if your really interested in playing again, try finding a couple people to make parties with every week.
My main problem with the game (and the reason why I quit) is that I was never able to find anyone to play with, everyone is doing the latest content and for someone with a job and family and not 15 free hours to play the game nonstop, I was always behind everyone. I joined guilds and the next day I was suddenly the guildmaster because everyone left. Not to mention the swarm of bots :/
I just started playing Lost Ark because of the jumpstart. I thought that the game was fun and I love the class I'm playing (Windfury Aeromancer). What I really do not like about this game is how elitest the community is. I am at 1490 and honestly, it's hard to even get into a Brelshaza legion raid when no one wants to start the raid with someone who is just starting to play the game (exactly how am I going to learn to do this raid without exactly experiencing it? Watching guides are not the same as actually experiencing it).
It's such a bummer because I genuinely like this game, but it's really unfriendly towards new players.

They're making good steps it seems; they just released another patch to reduce time spent in Chaos Gate/Ships/Secret Maps. They combined it all into just Chaos Gates, and from the verbiage, it sounds more fun (more fighting, less running around in Chaos Gate).
But they still need to make larger changes to the fundamentals of the game. No one in NA wants to play 6 characters 2-3 hours a day each character, in order to keep up with the pace of the gatekeeping whales. I'm hoping they are coming up with a solution to it during this time that they are fixing the homework in the game.
Ngl the jump start servers were a fantastic idea. I have a main roster but i decided to get all my friends to come into jump start. Everything was basically given to you to get to 1490 and ive been teaching people how to raid. It was so refreshing to see during week 1. However other veteran players still do their elitism and ask for exp only. So in week 2, if you didnt have any ancient pieces, you got gatekept. Regardless though there are a lot of new players and personally i enjoy teaching them on the jump start ^^ . Its good to learn there then take that knowledge back to your main if you so wish
I might go back and beat the story again on one of the new classes but as soon as it tries to make me grind the same content over and over for the beginning end game gear im out lol
it is possible to do kayangel atleast on normal u just need make prog lobby i learned gate 1-2 and some of 3 last week just before maintenance akkan is another story as leader u need know how to use the siderals for the akkan raid and since i only proged g1 on week 1 i dont have the exsperience to lead an akkan raid

I don't know if this is just my experience, but I returned one week ago, and this game has people who lose their mind at the smallest shit. I did a few guardian raids and people immediately disbands when 1 guy dies, and they always make sure to curse other on their way out.
5:00 i dont have the archivment either. Solution late week runs, beeing support or play normal mode(ppl are willing to take you with you normally even without archivment at least when I played last week) or simply buy 10x G4 bus and you have the archivment :D

I agree with you. In my case, I like the game but I don`t like the Raids, if this game had another end game with horizontal content to achieve it and create another end game to not make the raids lose propose but instead let people decide if they will progress horizontal or vertical to achieve this end game, I am very confident that I won't have to stop the game and installed it.
They have changed a lot in the game, mostly to "daily job", "stress" and "annoyances" but I will say it again.
Making a game less stressful, and annoying doesn't mean the game is fun.
Legion raids are lost ark's biggest selling points, but I do agree, I'd love to see a different approach at end game and progression in some other aspects other then item level
Hi, I love Lost Ark since before it came out here in Europe I followed it without being able to play it and when it came out here I sadly didn't play it much but I'd like to go back and play it properly ;) Crazy graphics and gameplay.!! But I'm curious, what is this X10 you talk about in the video? unfortunately it's the people who ruin MMos, not always the MMos themselves =( I saw the presentation of the new game content where the game was born and they are very passionate.. Big cinema-type event on stage with a big screen and a room full of people. !! So nice .

i played after relase since february, then left in june . I hited 1495 on my gunslinger i was so happy but a homework idea was not worth of doing same thing 20times cause of alts sysrem. Such a waste of time and energy. U can play 1 or 3char but there's no point if someone can have 10x more resour cause he plays 10h per day and u wanna chill 2-3h after work not repeat same things, i loved the first 3months ( not alts only main) but then it feels like chores, cause i slowly expanded my alts being forced to do it, meanwhile my friend had 2x better lucky bassicialy i had to spend 5-7h meanwhile he 2 and he was like 1570 i was 1595 same dps

As most of the players i took break after Brel hard, came back sometime before akkan and from that time i love it. All these changes were much needed. With all these changes i am able to finish the weekly grind on friday or even thursday, while playing 5 characters. Fact is, that i play 5 bards, so i cant see your point of view, on brel hard i quit cause it was hard to get to groups even as playing support, not it changed back.
Yea current brel hard is a breeze how fast it is with only 4 gates and gate 4 being locked every other week. Its been enjoyable for me as well, but we will see how long this will last.
@@FRESHY_GG It will only be better, even 1580+ groups have problems, cause we were doing 1-2 for like 5 months, a lot players need to le-learn the last two gates.
yo, I'm looking into lost ark again, can you tell me what got better about long-term grind and honing? the video said guardians are only one time now, but is there anything else?
@@rx0102 all old raids were nerfed heavvy and some gates got removed, so its fairly fast to finish brel nowadays. chaos dung is faster too. a lot of mats, express events, powerpasses can help you progress faster, but gatekeeping might be a problem
Yeah, there are not enough changes to bring me back to LA.
One thing I prefer in GW2 is how easy it is to swap to another role when doing group content. I play guardian, so I'm able to swap builds from dps to healer very simply. Less time sitting in a lobby waiting.
like WoW and FFXiV the strict role system is what made gatekeep so hard and the long lobby times
I agree that simplicity in allowing players to change builds is the future of MMORPGs and not what we have been getting lately.
Came back on soul eater release 4 days ago, but i quit when argos was the big thing, i cant get into any raids even tho i am 1490 i cant even get into valtan... (87 roster lvl) sadly gonna quit again since chaos dung and guardian raids became boring and i cant progress further without raids from 1490...

i feel like if u think that the gate keeping is why u left i dont think u will be returning, but i would like to kno what other mmo doesnt incorporate some form of gate keeping, they all do this, its a normal part of any mmo game traditional or non traditional, why would anyone accept someone who doesnt have the same experience, investment, knowledge of the raid as themselves when it doesnt take long to find that person, if ur leading a raid, and 2 ppl apply and u have one spot left, one applicant is 1580 and the other is 1600 who do u take, u almost undoubtedly take the 1600. and u just gate kept someone on gearscore alone (most likely). this is normal and is never going to change. as for ur issue with the support shortage i hear u on that, being a vet player, the support shortage is apparant at the highest level of the game and the lowest, it seems that most of the ppl that have a supp in their roster are at the mid level at around 1540, that just what ive experienced. unfortunately i have no idea how to solve this particular issue, honestly dont think there is one, if a person doesnt like playing supp they just arent going to play it. anyways good luck on your journey
Gatekeeping wouldnt be a problem if reliance on alts isnt so big. My main doesnt get gatekept, but my alts do, and investing into alts so they are not gatekept is a major resource waste that never really pays off.
For me the alts grind is the biggest reason not to come back to it, if they remove that I can get over the raids on 1 char, until then hell no!
group finder in this game is so bad. Maybe more players could help it but that requires merging nae and naw. They need to change the name system and allow people to have the same names first. Then merge market. Then eventually merge regions.
I wanted to get back into it since I hadn't players since a couple months after release but all the pop ups and confusion about content made me immediately go Nope.

I think the game should be treated as a side game where you and your buddy's can hop in a raid and try to completely some fun challenging content. This lets you do that since you get to akkan at the end of jumpstart. We will all be dropping the game once we finish the content but plan on hopefully doing every raid on inferno.

Having relative progression and playing lost ark as side game won't really go well together. But if you find the way then thats great for you. I'm trying to only play 1 character and see how far it gets me
Mmorpg’s can’t be side games though. League of legends and fortnite esque games are side games. Mmorpgs require time investment. You can take it slow like any normal working adult though. 🫶🏻

I agree with you, choose just one character and play that for weekly content. I have two others just so I can max out Una's daily but once that's one, I may log them in if I need more tokens for the current event shop. I currently have two that I'm pushing, but only because one has a powerpass. Once that's done, meh, it's too much work.
I will try with 1 character and see how far it can bring me.

i quit in December of 2022 after 3500 hours. all i wanted was aeromancer. i will probably sign back on and play through the story on an aeromancer for fun but that's about it.
It so funny that people cry about support shortage... and have 10 DD in roster and not a single support. Guess what 1-2 Supports in roster wont kill you but much increses your odds of having an easy and fast raid experience on these chars.
it is really worth come back. the game is in a very good state and becoming better and better overall. lots of content, lots of players (enough to do anything quickly). less gatekeeping and toxicity, nearly no bots, huge boosts and free stuff, less chore, good ah prices, more events and story, raids reworked. we have all the KR QOL at the same time. kayangel et akkan is great combat and more is coming that change the way to progress (elixir, transcendence). LOA is just a young MMO, less hype but problems are getting fixed and roadmap are great
I'm enjoying it myself so far, but will see how long is that going to last.
One thing i can't agree, new player going straight into endgame is bad. Lost ark really need better new player expirience and way to make old player play with new players old content.
Fully legendary set gives you slightly less than 2% dmg, not 8% as you have claimed, and you can buy a full set on AH for around 200k gold on NAE. A lvl 10 dmg gem, expect for "one gem classes" like surge deathblade, master summoner, and barrage artillerist, would give you around 2-3% dmg increase, so it's actually very cost efficient to buy legendary skins. It's as much P2W as buying skins and selling them for gold to buy lvl 10 gems, so nothing new here. Learning groups need swallow their ego and play supports - they struggle to find them because nobody wants to play them, and nobody is to blame there but the learners themselves - same applies to the experienced players who only want to play dps. The game is definitely worth to give another try after all the changes they have already implemented and promised in the future - the only im looking forward the most is solo content so that new players won't get gatekept for older raids like valtan, vykas, and clown, and maybe brel, and they are also going to rework horizontal content to allow people to get their skill points and runes much faster.
Yes, despite all the improvements, the same problems are still there. Gatekeeping cannot be fixed. It exists in every MMO, so stop pretending it's somehow unique to Lost Ark. Support shortage exits in every MMO as well, so what do you want people to do? To not play any MMO then? Or even better, play a support class instead of being a part of the problem. If you find a nice community, which are plenty if you look around, you can make friends and do legion raids together. It takes effort, sure, but you can make your in-game experience 10 times by teaming up with other people instead of resorting to Party Finder that is riddled with competitive players who only care about efficiency as in EVERY other MMO that is heavily based on raiding.

As a veteran player of wow and FFXIV i can assure you the gatekeep is not anywhere close to the Lost Ark levels, in those games you usually only find it in ultra hardcore activities like mythic or ultímate raiding.
Thing is Lost Ark is desinged to actívely promote gatekeeping since it forces players to swipe in order to increase the odds of being accepted into groups. That induced elitism only worsens the support shortage.
So, IMO game is not worth to come back and especially try as a new player, you will only have a miserable experience trying to get into groups.
@@allhatelorena There are no alternative difficulty levels in LA unlike in FF14 and WoW, so you force both casuals and hardcore players to do exact same content, which obviously increases the amount of gatekeeping. As for swiping to get more accepted - that's literally any big korean MMO, so don't try to make it LA specific issue - I've played many many Korean MMO (maple, lineage, aion, bns) and I can tell that P2W in LA is the least noticeable. The support issue is not tied to swiping by any means - you can swipe on supports too - people just don't want to play them, period. Very simple.
As a new player, you just have to find a community. Your "miserable experience" primarily applies to those who are lone wolves and want to play how they want whenever they want with no game knowledge, gear, and achievements. It has never worked in any grindy Korean MMO except BDO maybe because you NEED to make friends to progress even if you are not a new player, otherwise it just sucks. Show me any F2P Korean MMO with raid-centric endgame where gatekeeping is not a big issue. Even veteran players are gatekept because there is always someone better than you out there. It's called competition. That being said I think LA has improved in other areas outside of solving the unsolvable gatekeeping issue enough to give it another try.

While I can agree that certain amount of gatekeeping inevitable in every game, the fact that you need to clear every raid 6 times a week to get the full rewards is the reason why the issue is so prevalent in Lost Ark.
The ‘just make friends’ solution is only a community workaround for a flawed system, as long as it goes unaddressed the game will continue bleeding players as it has since last year, no amount of band aids is gonna change that.
This is also my biggest problem with lost ark game is good and getting better. The community on the other hand is absolute dog shit and are single handedly killing the game. I said this nearly a year ago when the game came out this was going to happen and nobody back then wanted to listen here we are a year and some change later and would you look at that 20-25k players on average (excluding the jump of players from jumpstart coming back) This game has insane potential but as always with these type of games there is always something holding it back and people wanna put most of the blame on smile gate but I don't. 1. You don't have to actually play with a full roster to keep up 1-3 characters is more than enough 2ndly people force their own bad time management skills onto others. If you don't have time to do a raid regardless of whos in it you should not be raiding period. If you want fast structured raiding join a static or a guild. Going into pugs expecting god tier game play and ABCDEFG requirements of them is absurd. Now obv don't take someone whos geared wrong or has under lvl 5 gems going into something like brel+. Something good that has come from jumpstart though has proven you DO NOT NEED half the shit people ask for. I full cleared every raid two weeks back to back and we are all running purple gems and a starter card set that only gives 4% dmg and some hp. YOU DO NOT NEED all this crazy bs to clear most of the current content in the game.
if jump start proves anything is that the requirements set to join raids are pure BS and you can clear it with new players with a little bit of patience and understand for them being new and learning

The layers upon layers of RNG, dailies, forced raiding, and p2w are still way too much. Smilegate doesn't want to make any real structural changes to the game out of sheer short term greed, they won't even let you have class change tickets because it would mean they would make less money. They're running out of time to fix the game when new MMOs like Throne and Liberty are launching in KR as soon as next month.

Remove the "1 mistake, wipe party mechanic in normal mode" and decrease the drop rate like 30% and in hard mode put the "1 mistake wipe party mechanic" and increase the drop rate we will see if there would still be a gatekeep 🤣. The only thing that prevents me form coming back is PHEONS and Gatekeep on legion raids. If they still put this in the game Its not worth coming back and its just a waste of time and degrading on my part.

No. Coming back is just a Hyper express to 1580 and 3 weekly raids, that's the entire game at this point. Everything else has been made obsolete.
If you are coming back to LA now, your choices are don't, or swipe, and by swipe I'm talking $500 honing boxes to even begin to put a dent in your honing needs.
The day SG makes raids more forgivven for your mistakes, that day more players will play this game, otherwise with instant-wipe-mechanics for 1 single person not doing 100% accurate KR old verteran 25+ plus gameplay experience, just nah

It was a great game with so much potential. But all of the artificial walls, the gate keeping, etc ruined it.
Love the game and play it a lot, but if I was to start or come back at his point when he quit…I would never come back.
When I quit I was ready for akkan, I played so much I progressed my main to the point where I was almost 6 months ahead of the schedule. So coming back wasn't problematic, but I agree anyone else wouldn't have enjoyed the game as much

@@Tokiomy For Sonavel I just matchmake and its easy clear even without support. I dont know why people are so hard bent on having perfect setups for sonavel that takes not even 5 mins to do. Akkan normal is also plagued with 10x nerds so I have to resort on hoping to get accepted in a regular reclear group.

It’s still going to fail. Are they going to open fresh start servers every time they need an infusion of players? The combination of raids being the only way to progress plus so many power systems just means more gatekeeping. We need more that just raids to gear up. Every healthy mmo gives people multiple progression paths whereas Sgs listened to hard core raiders exclusively. The legion raids did save the game but going all in on them kills it

Thats why i can find a raid any day of the week from 12:00 to 03:00 euc times. Thats why at peak times theres over 30 lobbies each minute for each content.

Depends on region. EUC has been fairly decent and on the weekends you find a lot of pug groups. Most of them are stuck on 6/8 waiting for supports though.

The support shortage has always been the problem and right now it is also big problem when trying to pug raids.
Here's solutions instead of just whining in empty space and thinking you're making a difference :
-Make a party. Learning group for brel gate 4 took only 15- 20 mins to fill with 2 supps today. Underrated. Saying this takes 3h is very clearly someone too lazy to even try.
-Supports for lower level raids... are not needed... Giga brain, imagine waiting 15 mins on a support for 5 min content like hanumatan lol

The first group disbanded after first wipe, the 2nd group was 1 tap and yes I died in the end as this was first time doing the raid and playing the game after not touching the game since april. So apologies for not performing up to the standard. I needed few days to get used to the game again.

Appreciate the comment. The way I see gatekeeping is not necessarily just straight up getting rejected, its more of a being on item level on alts and there always being someone with higher item level that will get priority in being accepted over you. And when I have to spend hours applying until my 1540 alt gets accepted, all the fun evaporates before I even enter the raid.
Short answer is - NO.
Game still have the same core problem - obsolete content and no meaningfull progression system which tied tight to endgame raids. And jump-start servers still have the same problem - for some reason game wants you to jump stright to endgame, which is a way to overwhelm new player with ammount of chores and mechanincs while he have zero clue what is value of all these stuff.
Jump start was destined to fail. I will make a character to see how it is for myself and maybe even make a video sharing my opinion on the issues

Idk man, i quit this game more than 2 yrs ago i think and ive seen they made some changes and im coming back, reason is simple is not because they are now holy saints and the game is great, is bcuz i am playing wow atm, and d4 and Lost ark suddenly does not seem that atrocious anymore lately.
