Surprised to see that Mi10Ultra is apparently better at the low light video with its main lens.

Super interesting, thank you. It looks to me like the Mi 10 Ultra is clearly better. The digital sharpening is still too strong on the Samsung. Did you have scene mode on? The Samsung was way over saturated.

This is a huge under rated comparison video! Most of the comparison videos for s21u only shows how good it performs in bright environment, which leads to my purchase of the phone a few days ago. But since I've had it on my hand I've been extremely disappointed by its low light performance.
The s21u's ultra wide and its 2 telephoto lenses can only give you pure darkness in low light environment, meaning you cannot rely on those lenses in dark. If it is not a bright day, and you want to shoot a video, you have no other option but to rely on the main lens and preferably under "FHD-auto" mode. Yes, it brightens the image up, but its blurry and shaky, and it doesn't record in 60fps. It performs no better than Mi 10 Pro. (I don't know about Mi 10 Ultra, because I only have Mi 10 Pro.) The detail and sharpness is both less impressive.
I am planning to sell the s21u at half the price, because it doesn't have any value for me in daily use.

Mi 10 ultra is still one of the best in 2021. Would be great to see a deep camera comparison against Mi 11 Ultra, especially in low light.
Btw, it's a great idea to include moon shots in the comparison.

bro you made a really good video comparisson but..how you say s21 ultra is better when you didnt even say anything about white balance that is wrong(dog photos+portrait) at s21 it seems like yellow while mi10 ultra is pure white,i think your dog is white not yellow ;)..2 no mention about noise from s21 ultra at bokeh effect+inside focus too while mi10 ultra is clean ;) .s21 though it seems better to video zoom overall and ofc selfie that is much better than mi10 ultra..overall main camera of mi10 ultra is far steps better(larger sensor=more light=more detail) than s21ultra.good job though keep it up :)

Excellent video . I have s21 ultra and pixel 4. 6 out of 10 pics from s21 ultra are blurry even when the subject moves slightly. Same with the selfie cam. I don't have this issue with pixel 4 (rarely the pics are blurry). Not sure why reviewers don't mention this. But video from s21 ultra is much better compared to pixel 4

6:45 on the mi 10 ultra you have to go higher than 5x before start to record 4k 30 and will change to the 5x lens then you can zoom all the way up from there

S21 Ultra owner here. This was definitely close! Mi 11 was way better in daytime portrait mode: better detail and highlight control ( was lack of detail due to using 2x portrait mode option?). MI11 really improved the skin tones: equal to the s21 now. Zoom: draw: s21 better at 3x, mi11 better at 5x, 10x+ pretty equal. In the daytime landscapes I leaned towards s21 for the better highlight control other areas about equal. The close up shots the s21 was better with more detail. Day video way better on s21 with much better highlight control. s21 front facing camera way better in all scenarios. Night shots went to mi11 but night mode s21. Night video looked better on mi11. Mi11 is much cheaper than s21 ultra so it gets the value win. Which one you pick depends on which category you value the most. EDIT: watched on 32" 4K monitor and paused video to look at each picture.

Picture quality from both are not to distant, Xiaomi has less over sharpen where Samsung still commit the same sin. Xiaomi's colour is more natural compared to heavy HDR mixture in Samsung. Samsung has a tad better consistency in all situation. But in Video, no matter how good the picture quality has gotten, Xiaomi voice sounds has a distortion when you really listen, i do prefer Samsung video for far better sound quality Xiaomi can't be used when recording live music no matter how wide the stereo they can separate or how many hundreds of mega pixels they can cramp. Can't fathom Xiaomi still has bad compression video sound *on their flagship* .

  • @makedate9338

Stills, both under good light and low light/night conditions, The S21U wins in details, sharpness, exposure even with pixel peeping for both rear and front cams. Especially in night mode, the S21U is the clear winner with stills. Video, daytime the S21U both rear and front wins. Especially the telezoom on the tower, the S21U clearly domninates. Its the Low light or Dark Mode Video where the Mi10U does better though. Even switching to night mode for the S21U shows some weakness which probably means soem more optimization is needed because the Night Pictures of the S21U is so much better than the other one. Its strange when it came to low light video the S21U wasnt as good as the stills for both front and rear.

Grant, to be honest, I beg to differ in your overall camera opinion about these two phones. In my opinion, the Mi 10 ultra is holding its ground and doing a pretty solid job at it, against the S21 ultra. I give it to the Mi 10 ultra for colour accuracy and overall camera performance. The S21 is very very good but Mi 10 ultra just nails it better, all thanks to the recent update on the Xiaomi phone

It's time for Samsung to switch to a maximum 40 or 50mpx sensor for better night videos.
Ps: on the main sensor in night photo without night mode the Mi 10 Ultra is better, but with night mode the Samsung is better.

    • @johnwasgeht5263
      @johnwasgeht5263 Před 3 lety +1

Wow, people are really different. I see it almost the complete opposite with the Mi 10 Ultra being better in every situation except dynamic range in daylight video. The Samsung is brutally oversharpened and oversaturated. Maybe scene mode was on. The Mi 10 looked way more natural and professional imo.

  • @adanderechosreservados9982

Good video! thnks. add my opinion..
Mi10 Ultra its camera is much better than S21 Ultra. Comparing exclusively from the camera.
S21 Ultra has a score of 123 VS 133 points from Mi10 Ultra.
The Mi11 Ultra had the first place with 143 points, but now the Huawei P50Pro has the first place with only 144 points.
Huawei is reluctant to leave the crown as the king in the cameras, but everything indicates that Xiaomi will be the next king. (Damn veto they imposed on him).
The times where Samsung reigned are already history.
