Yes did the UVMOD firmware update on the JucJet , its a relabeled Quansheng K5......radio Id plate is mfg by Quansheng...exact same factory firmware in it.
well... since it has the quansheng body there is no extended battery option like in the og uv5r and it would be interesting to see if it also has sufficient harmonic suppression

Yes it is capable of the Marine band frequencies....but not legally
Any idea if it can be opened for Gmrs?
Yes at least the one I got is capable on GMRS out of the box

Yes the keyboard EXIT key is spelled EIXT.......they were close....no surprise on the CCR's

Had hopes is was hackable like the quansheng k5 that was my disappointment...radio is fine
It's a horrible splatter box. Has the worst 2nd and 3rd harmonics I have seen yet on a Baofeng. Quansheng should sue for defamation. 😂
