    Some books says that protein is not directly involved in the in lymphatic circulation but now you say that larger tissue fluid like larger protein are drained back into lymph capillaries

    Thank you,it helps me a lot to understand the relation between the lymphatic system and the circulation system.But why dont you describe the structure of the lympho node more clearly ,you can talk about the germinal follice and the paracortex.I want to know more about that.

      Its always difficult to know how much detail to include, some say the videos are too long already, other want more detail. I guess the aim is to give an understanding on which future learning can be based, rather than trying to make the videos an encyclopaedic resource. However, you make a good point.

    Can you make a video about how the lymphatic system get more circulation and improve performance during regular exercise, aerobics and anaerobic, I meant cardiovascular training like running and jogging and anaerobic like strength training( weight lifting) also I like to know how water intake change the lymph function and what really happens in long term low water intake like people lost at the sea, or the desert .

    Excellent.
    it is clear with viruses and bacterias.
    But what happens with skin cancer cells when they enter lymph capillaries?
    will the cancer cells get killed? or they get into lymph nodes unharmed?
    what happen with cancer cells in the lymph node? do C-cell or T-cell have the ability to fight cancer cells?

    Hi Dr. Campbell, I have a question although you probably answered this in you video, I just want to be sure...do the White blood cells also leave the capillaries along with the plasma fluids through the interstitial fluids and into the lymph vessels? Thank you

  • @faridsaid9180
    @faridsaid9180 Před 2 lety

    Do viruses and viral infected cells also diverted to lymphatic system?

  • @arines3
    @arines3 Před 8 lety

    Only 10% of fluid is being drain in the interstitial fluid and 90% left in the vessel circulation as explained in lesson 1. My question is, what if bacteria/viruses are left on that 90% then, how could the body be protected since only the 10% plasma fluid is being protected by the lymph nodes?

    dr jc what happens at 13 mins when those auxiliary lymph nodes under left arm are removed due to exploratory surgery/biopsy-for hotchkins and how does that effect the overall lymph system and further functioning of patient- and if the inquinal nodes on left groin area are hard due to surgeries of the colon-kidneys-lungs- how does this combo effect the lymph system and what protocols can be employed to improve daily living and functioning-ie avoid bacterial infections or other systemic issues-i know this is a tough question outside the realm of this lecture yet learning how it works is a great step in dealing with IT-AND UNDERSTANDING WHAT TYPES OF COMPLICATIONS WILL ARISE

    • @Campbellteaching
      @Campbellteaching  Před 4 lety

      How would surgery to the colon, kidneys, or lungs lead to hard inguinal lymph nodes? This does not make sense. Generally, if a lot of lymph nodes are removed from an axilla, this can result in oedema of the arm. This can be difficult to manage but local compression and massage can sometimes be helpful. In terms of increased risk of bacterial infection and sepsis, removal of the spleen is usually the biggest risk factor. Asplenic patients therefore often take prophylactic antibiotics.

      well[that how could the .of this lead to that-well its not as easy as 1 2 and then three-from the perspective of a still living patient my perspective-40 yrs ago returned to home country and was allowed to enter medical facility after test showed no contagious possibilities-i was in the hands of my doctor who saw me after 7 years absence in forein lands of diametrically opposed politics-hardliners- illness unknow so biopsy ordered for hotchkins-lymph glands under arm removed and tests negative-so decisions were made to open after sonogram- (it must be noted that i returned from a country who had no modern medical technology and was being treated for infections of unknown origin-it took 3 separate exploratories on the left side which resulted in the partial removal of both kidneys-lower left lung and other infected internal organs and body parts due to internal abscesses which had enveloped arount the abdominal area-was in a long term coma-to protect my intellectual ability but loss of all professional working memory and other mental and temporal issues related to functioning-so the background above and the perspective of subsequent surgeries for other related issues- ie left arm had nerve issues 4 yrs later so due to complications nerve and muscle removed from upper limb and reattached-but this just underscored left side of body having nuerological issues-then with time other health concerns especially after divorce-death of parent-bankrupcy ect ect-no health insurance was eventually diagnosed with a very large tumor in the colon-and considered cancerous and not a fun one but a learning experience-after this one i was told to clean my colon and heal my liver-since its blood borne and as such devoted my attention toward the healing process-that was 30 yrs after exploratory-so from problematic lymph at beginning and plus 30 yrs similar hardening of inguinal lymph-groin esp left side- and then add another 7 years later in a state of recouperation but weakness had a fall in my garden onto metal stairs wiith deep cuts on lower left shin-@bone and began to notice a quickening of the lymphatic complications-hardening of nodes at groin-later swelling of ankle-left 3 x larger than right and decreased blood flow of left leg-so protocols chosen were elevated foot-light massage with machine-warm compresses-use some herbals and hardness changen from lump to puss and that took 2 weeks to release completely and dry out-now in maintenance of not allow too much on feet/extra swelling and better diet with no heated fats-great liquid input-and conscious attitude-but in summary the lymph node were similar in terms of hardness after injury from fall-bone damaged and large external gash-but infection-aka to lecture bacterial triggered a response but this time only on one side of body- dr jc it would be nice if you made a video and the importance of medical records for the doctor and the patient-and the improvement of outcomes-one thing learned is that many things happen to a person and yet there may persist some forgotten medical influence from past which may present itself in ones presence-and what triggered it recognition was you statement that lymph can be cancerous-and explanation of lumps in female brain and understanding that it moves thru blood and bowel to liver-liver to lymph perhaps in chinese medicine its bowel2liver2lung2brain-and lymph is @lung/thymus connectivity-yes vibration movement-warmth compress-elevation-energy medicine-all important-herbal compresses not recommended for amatuers- so i hope this helps others-at least future doctors in understanding the patients they serve and the lives that those patients have or face and must recognize and circumnavigate

    Is it a network of collagen fibers or reticular fibers?

    • @prajnyahegde1010

      collagen fibers

    • @akshadharkoneti
      @akshadharkoneti Před 5 lety

      Reticular cells are specialised fibroblasts which produce type 3 collagen fibres which form the architecture of the node
