This show was my first introduction to British accents as a child. I remember sitting there trying to figure out what the heck they were saying. This show was somehow very different from American soap operas, I'm not just talking about the different accents either. It seems to have a very different tone than American soaps. Ah, the joys of growing up with both British and American tv. Coronation Street is still on tv in Canada.
